Firefox will displays no tool bars or address windowk ony a search window.

When executed, Firefox displays only a search window in the top screen bar -- no tool bars, no address window, no menu bar. The default home page is displayed.
I uninstalled Firefox, (leaving personal data preserved), downloaded and installed the current version. No change!

In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

• Firefox will display hotmail e-mail inbox, but will not open them

Firefox will be able to load Hotmail and display your inbox- but will not respond when clicking on any emails, options like new and reply, or junk mail and other folders. The mouse works fine with all other programs and Hotmail runs as normal on other browsers, making it a seemly Firefox only problem.

• New firefox will not remember my hotmails email addresses or passwords

the newer firefox (4) will not store my email addresses or passwords on msns hotmail. everytime i go to logon it has already forgotten my email address and i have to type it all in again

Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
There is a difference between remembering the name and password in the Password Manager and a "remember me" check box on a web page to log you in automatically.
The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and that is send to the server.
If that "remember me" cookie is removed or gets corrupted or is not send to the server then the server won't remember you anymore and you need to sign in once again.
• Unable to display CTI tool bar in Enterprise Portal

Hi All,
I am currently integrating the CRM 2007 with EP 7.0. In this direction I imported the business role IC_AGENT into portal. I was able to see all the pages that I could see in CRM 2007 IC webclient after import except the CTI tool bar which displays a "undefined" icon in the CTI tool bar in the portal content area.
Has anyone faced the same issue ? if so, could you please let me know if I am doing it right or is there any additional configuration on IC webclient or portal that I have missed out.
Thanks in advance,
Anupama

Hi Vinod,
Thanks much for the response. I had not looked at the sap note earlier on, saw it after your reply.
However, we are not using IE7.0 yet. I would like to mention here that independent of the portal, when I launch the CRM IC Webclient on any browser, it appears well and good, but when launched from within Enterprise Portal, page appears minus the toolbar. Do you have any idea/pointers on the same. However I plan to get the notes correction done and would like to thank you for an useful answer.
Pls do let me know if there is anything missing on EP 7.0 or CRM 2007 that needs to be done additionally.
Thanks and regards,
Anupama

• How do I put firefox on the bottom tool bar so it stays

also, I have an existing paid account and want to transfer it to this computer-- how do I do it??

Firefox is Free so I don't know what your paid account is, and you have an old version of Firefox.
If you want to place the "Firefox" button on the title bar of the window on the add-ons bar at the bottom of the Firefox window that is not an option, but you are not running Firefox 4.0 and up (current is Firefox 8.0.1, or 9.0 on the 20th) you would have to have been looking at another computer to see that.
Are you running old hardware that you have to stay on 3.6 for which the latest is 3.6.24
Pinning an application to the Windows task bar, I believe, came in with Windows 7 which you don't have, and I wouldn't pin anything there anyway.
I'm lost on your questions, are they for a different computer.

• Why the pages 09 can't display the tool bar when I use the full vision?

I have found that the numbers and the keynote always show the tool bar on the top, but pages can not, when I use the full screen.

BL,
Contrary to mende1's experience, I do not see the Toolbar in Fullscreen mode, even when accessing the Menu and Format lines by moving the cursor to the top of the screen.
I guess that the designers figured that you may not want the toolbar to come down in what is a minimalist mode. A design choice that you can object to, if you wish, by submitting Feedback from the Pages menu.

• I lost my only navigation tool bar, so I can only open one window at a time, and can't use google. Help.

I'm not sure what I did, but I right clicked on my google tool bar (which I use since I can't find the Firefox navigation toolbar) and I somehow disabled it. Now I can only use one window at a time, and if I go to a website, I can't go to another without closing my current one so I can go to my homepage, which is google.

If the Menu Bar is hidden then press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Tried solitions given on site using IE. Firefox will not start at all, did latest update and tried safe mode start.
Only get box stating it has encounterd a problem and crashed. I only use firefox and have so many bookmarks I really don't want to uninstall and start over.

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
#Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
#In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
#From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
#Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
#Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
#Paste each ID with '''bp-''' into the reply window on the forums.

• How do I get Firefox to display the information bar when a pop up is blocked I accidentally clicked on "Don't show this message when pop-ups are blocked" when a pop up was blocked. How do I get this message to reappear again when a pop up is blocked?

I just updated Firefox but can't get it to display the message when a pop-up is blocked. Most times I want them blocked but sometimes I need them enabled.

You can see a pop-up block icon in the right corner of the Status Bar if you have chosen to hide the information bar at the top.
You can left-click that pop-up block icon on the Status Bar and remove the check mark from "Don't show info message when pop-ups are blocked"
You can look at these prefs on the '''about:config''' page and reset them via the right-click context menu:
Status bar icon: browser.popups.showPopupBlocker
Info bar at the top: privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

• Firefox not displaying current page URL in address book.

Firefox is now showing the URL data for the most recently opened tab in every address bar rather than the actual data for the page opened within that tab. For example, tab 1 is opened to wsj.com and tab two is the opened for foxnews.com, suddenly the address bar for tab 1 is now showing foxnews.com in the address bar AND it is now impossible to go 'back' because the back button is greyed out. Additionally, if a link is clicked from within the current tab, the URL in the address bar does not change but remains 'fixed' on the address opened in the most recently opened tab.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
