Firefox will not go to a new website on the first time that I click a link. I get a connection problem message firt but then when I click on "try again" it works.

I get a connection error every time.

What is the message to the left of the Allow button? Hopefully with that information we can advise on changes to your settings to resolve the issue.
You also could supply a URL of a site that has this problem, assuming we don't need an account to check it out.

If I use Firefox, I can not connect to any item in the top inch of the page. But if I just connect to the internet with internet explorer, I have no problem and can connect to anything on the page. When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.

I also have this problem. I cannot open links from a discussion board I frequent nor can I open links from my email. Also after opening my email, I cannot go to any other sites except my home page. I can then go no where else.

Yes, it will do a full backup.

Only if you want to be able to go back in time to those previous Time Machine backups. When you plug in the new larger external drive, you will only be able to go back as far as the first day you plugged it in and ran the first Time Machine backup on it.

You can use the Dreamweaver FTP (or a different FTP client) to completely copy the original website to your development computer, then, before making changes, you can copy the whole thing to a directory called something like "website original"
If you want to run both the old and new sites on the remote server, this is often possible. Add a folder/directory to the server and call it something like "new" and upload the new files there until you are ready to replace the old site
All of this you can do with FTP

As per your statement, there aren't any other forest which mean you are creating a new AD forest in windows server 2008 R2 SP1.
You don't need to run adprep then. Just run dcpromo on the server and select new forest and provide a Domain Name and follow the instruction.

Firefox will not open even with new profile

When I attempt to open Firefox nothing happens on screen. I have created a new profile still no joy. In the Windows Task Master Process window Firefox.exe is shown. Have checked the Firewall that is ok and have allowed any mention of Firefox to have Internet acess , still no joy, I am using Zone Alarm.
I do not get any messages when I attempt open Fire Fox just the browser does not open. I can see in the Task Manager that Firefox has started and is sitting idle but no Browser window.
I End Task in the Task Manager before I attempt to start Fire Fox again after I have made any changes such as the changes to Zone Alarm as mentioned before. Then I attempt to start Firefox again and still no joy.
