Firefox will not load pretty much all pages. Also I cannot get any add-ons. I made sure my firewall lets Firefox in. I just loaded it back on this computer, everything was fine before, now its crap.
So I was running Firefox before. and my girlfriend told me to try google chrome out. So after about a month of trying it out, I prefered Firefox, so I loaded it back on, and now I can't open any pages or get access to the add-ons. I liked firefox before but I'm thinkging that its too much of a hastle to have to do this. But if it's fixable please tell me.21q
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Since latest update...Firefox will not allow a new page to be opened from a link in a current page. It will allow a new tab to be opened (with tabbed browsing checked) but i prefer a new page. Even in tabbed browsing links to things like a pdf will not work at all.

I have elements 9 and just a day ago everything was fine but now all of a sudden any time I try to convert or save my project or even burn it to a DVD the program shuts down on me.

On what computer operating system are you running Premiere Elements 9 and are you running Premiere Elements as the 9.0.1 Update?
In cases such as these, the first factor to rule in or out are the preferences/setting file. Here you want to delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file.

about a month ago, Mavericks had an automatic update. I have a Windows 7 partition bootcamped on my macbook pro. Before the update, everything was fine. Now, when I attempt to start Windows partition, as soon as I touch the keyboard or mouse the screen goes black and I can't go any further. I have tried to re-load the bootcamp drivers and try again. It does the same thing. Any help would be great.

My new iPhone 4s will not recognise my TomTom car kit, so I cannot use any of my 3 TomTom apps, nor does it give me handsfree as before. It will not pair, although I have held in the reset button until it beeps, then entered my PIN when instructed. It also sometimes gives the message that this device is not supported by iPhone (although I have been using it for several years) with my UK and Ireland, Western Europe, and USA and Canada apps. Just replaced my 4 with a 4S rather than a 5, which won't fit the mounting kit.
From their web site Tom Tom actually offered a converter kit at one point however all it was a 3mm thick bit of plastic with a self adhesive tape backing!

This first thing that comes to my mind is that the battery is completely drained. But you say you left it plugged in to charge over night. Was the iPad plugged in to the charger or to your computer? If it was connected to th computer try plugging it into the wall charger. Wait 30 minutes then reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot. But it the iPad was plugged into the wall charger overnight and it still doesn't respond, the iPad most likely has a hardware problem Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

I just downloaded the new Mavericks everything was fine this morning then my screen went black as it usually does when I leave it for an hour or so. I usually push the on button once and it comes back this time it didn't. I hold the button down and it'll go off I hold the button down and I hear it make the start up sound but nothing comes on the screen it's totally black. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with downloading the new Mavericks does anybody have any ideas. Is there any way to reboot when you can't see what's on the screen. I believe it's coming on but I cannot put in my password because I cannot see where to type it in.
This is really unfortunate. I'm sorry that nothing works. I was going to mention holding down the power button and doing a force shutdown but you already did that. You might need to take it into the Apple store. I don't know if booting into safe mode would help. You would have to turn off the machine again, hit the start button and hold down the shift key after you hear the tone, but normally you would let go of the shift key when you see the apple logo and spining wheel. Maybe by holding down the shift key after you here the tone will cause the screen to come back on? The other option is to start up from the 'install disk' if your machine came with one. You would insert the disk, then shut down the computer, and hold down the C key right after hitting the start button.

I am trying to mnaintain my sanity when browsing and had No-Script, Request Policy and Ad Block installed and working well. I made a mistake and some malware got in there. I reformatted my drive and tried to restore via Moz backup but it will not install any add-ons in ANY version I have tried thus far.
Might be totally unrelated to the problem you're having, but saying it since it's still important: you should definitely upgrade to Firefox 3.6 asap, as 3.0.x is no longer supported by Mozilla. This means that you're no longer patched for security holes and are exposed to online threats like viruses, etc.
Upgrading is easy - just go to mozilla.com and download the latest and greatest version of Firefox. Good luck! -

My time/calendar can't determine location. Was fine before now says unable to determine location
I need some help in getting my clock/calendar to work again. Was fine till recently then reverted back to 2000 with messed up time. Tried to use set time automatically function but says unable to determine location. Went to manually set time zone, date and time but the time now wanders off and does seem to properly keep time. Anyone know what I can do to get the auto function to work again?
Hey Man I have the same problem, One day the screen just went black and from then onwards it has been reall problematic, I went to the apple store but they wanted about 100 bucks to have a look at it, although they did a diagnostic for free, but it didnt reval anything.
They said it was either the screen or the graphics card, and each one cost 750USD but 100USD to find out which........ I didnt fork out the cash though, a bit expensive!!!!!!!
However I did get the computer back up and running, by holding Opt on start up, mostly it goes to the f**king dark blue screen with the vertical lines. But every 10 to 15 goes I can get to the disk utility, If you run the repair disk and repair premonitions, then start up again it should boot up, you may get a day or two out of it before BOOM back the blue screen of vertical death.
I believe its the graphics thats busted, (which is soldered to the logicboard) so the only to fix it according to the apple guys is to get a new one at 750USD and about 2 weeks to get it done. here is a app called gfxCardStatus, and it tells you which card ur using (there is 2) when the card switches the computer crashes, you can set the app to only use the "Intrergrated card" but you cant watch movies or iweb, camera, just web browsing and text stuff....... the other HD card does all the other heaver graphic processing............
I hope this helps, but all in all, lots of people have had the same problem and Apple have not declared it a fault on there part, they boast about the quality of there products but in essence my last macbook died suddenly........ I invested in a macbookpro (early 2011) the graphics card is broke, the trackpad doesnt work properly and the screen has screenburn all over the edges and sides........... Seriously!!!! and the reply was buy another computer from the apple guys!!!!!! Pretty disappointed. -
