Did you submit crash reports?
If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). 
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. 
You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

There have been reports that the latest Flash 10.2 r152 version can cause problems and in that case you can try to downgrade to the previous 10.1 r102 version.

Make sure your Mac qualifies to upgrade to Mountain Lion > Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.
Installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo) reinstalls the App Store for you which may help the product distribution error.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installled. It's ok to do this even though your Mac already has v10.7.5 installed.
Then try downloading Mountain Lion.
FYI ... For downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
You may also need to temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.
Apps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent apps from downloading including Mountain Lion.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

When I try to open Firefox, my computer crashes and I get the blue screen then my computer restarts. I found the plug in npdeployJava1.dll and tried to remove it but I can't. I'm wondering if this file has anything to do with it crashing my computer. If so, how can I get rid of it?

Hello I am writing here because today as I was using my macbook air, a software update popped up. I updated everything that needed to be updated, and when my computer restarted I went to use Safari and it simply will not work now. When I try to open it, an exclamation point pops up and it says "Safarir wuit unexpectedly while using the TelevisionFanaticToolbar plugin." I believe that my internet connection is not the problem, because iChat and iMail seem to be working just fine. I really need help immediately, can anyone possibly run me through some steps on how I could possibly get it working again. What can I do ? Help !

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. From your description sounds like you've got something installed in Safari as a plugin. Whatever this "televisionfanatictoolbar" thing is, you should probably get rid of it.
In Safari try going to Preferences -> Extensions and seeing if you have any plugins installed that you can disable. That is likely the reason for your problem.
Another thing you can do is remove your Safari preferences file by doing the following:
in Finder hit command + shift + g and enter "~/Library/Preferences" with out the quotes.
Find the file called com.apple.Safari.plist and delete it. This is completely safe, all it will do is reset your Safari settings.
If you go to "~/Library/Internet Plug-ins" you can also look in there for anything suspicious and throw it in the trash.

After updating to 3.6.7, Firefox will not start on my Mac. Happened also with the last update. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm running updated OX 10.6.4 on an i7.

Last time (a few weeks ago) I had to uninstall firefox and reinstall it. Today I moved the last version to the trash and reinstalled the new version, but it still won't work. When I downloaded the latest version about a week ago, this started. Any time it is opened, it goes to session restore. When I click anywhere on the screen, the tab says not responding.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?
