Firefox will show 'done' on a page that is not fully loaded, how do I fix this?
When trying to axcess, any website really, it will display the word done as if the page has successfully loaded yet most of the content on the page is missing. How can this be resolved?
hello, this is currently a problem in firefox when you first close all open firefox windows and then close the application afterwards - the bug should be addressed in a later version of firefox.
as a workaround in the meanwhile you could close firefox (through firefox > quit) while the browser window is still running or try this: enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash'''. double-click it and change its value to '''false'''.

That's a problem that all users of a second-hand Mac released after the OS X Lion launch have. OS X, iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand are registered to the Apple ID the first owner used to register the computer, so you can't use them legally without repurchasing them. Furthermore, there's a bigger problem: you have to get iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand on a DVD, because the App Store makes impossible to purchase these applications on a second-hand Mac.
Nothing will happen if they are already installed, but you won't be able to reinstall and update them, so I recommend you to delete them and buy iLife '11 on a DVD to install the applications from there. Also, take note that you can't also reinstall OS X, so if OS X gets damaged, you will have to take your computer to an Apple Store.
Open > About this Mac, and tell us the OS X version you have. If you are using OS X Lion, you can upgrade to Mountain Lion with your Apple ID, so then you will be able to reinstall OS X -
iCloud on my pone states the account is not verified, but then directs me to check my email at an address that is not mine. How do I correct this?

My ipod classic has started making a mewling sound and all it does is scroll through the songs. It does not play on my Bose sound dock or through earbuds. It will play when connected to the computer...but that makes it hard to take it on a walk with me I thought it might be a synching problem so tried that--still doesn't work. How do I fix this problem with out restoring it to the factory setting? I do not want to lose all my music content as some of it I cannot replace easily. Please help with suggestions and advice. I can not perform software updates or download any programs. They appear in the download box as images that are "not recognized". I thought maybe my antivirus software was setting up a firewall, but I have disabled it, so that's not the case. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
If the downloads are gone, it's possible that Windows is removing the downloads based on security policies set in IE. I realize that sounds strange, but it's related to Firefox's feature of submitting downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.
To test this theory, you could try disabling the scan feature. I assume you have good "real time" antivirus protection which checks every file saved to your hard drive. (If not, you really should get that, and you can use Microsoft's free [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Microsoft Security Essentials] for now until you have time to review all the available choices.)
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''scan''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone''' to toggle its value.

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.

We have one computer in our home and two user accounts, his and hers. On my account at the top of the page I have file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, tools and help.
On the other account it will not show any of those topics. Its very discouraging first its there and than it dissappears so that we cannot find our bookmarks.

We heard firefox had crashed, friend 4 hours away has same problem. She got hers fixed but even tho I can get a message that firefox is running , its not functioning so I can use it. Had two updates to do, one automatically, one I started at firefox request. Since then, we can't get on the internet or any programs. Unless you can tell me what's wrong, I'll have to have a computer company come in to fix problem.
It is always a good idea to back up your bookmarks, if you are able to do that now it may help, and if you are considering using them in an alternative browser it may be a good idea to back them up as HTML as well as the default .json files.

Have you read the articles shown in my first message above with the blue clickable links. One of the first things to try is using Firefox in firefox [[safe mode]] which should be available from your program list, BUT when trying that on the first dialogue do not make changes just click on continue.

My video will play on keynote only on my mac, not my iPad how do i fix this?
I have a video that will only play on the keynote on my mac. when i switch it over to my ipad it wont work! only on my mac will it work, i just do not understand what is wrong. I've also emailed this video to another computer (that didnt have Quicktime Player), it wouldnt play. The video only works through Quicktime too. Another thing is, its not an .mp4 file, instead its an "MPEG layer 3, GIF"... weird, i dont know what to do could you help me out please?

I had not set up iCloud on my iphone...my oops. Photostream is off and iPhoto on the mac is still trying to download from my iPhone. I have tired shutting off the phone, plugging it back into the mac and still no luck. It still has 53 remaining and the little colored wheel is turning.

Computer has windows xp professional sticker on it. that is about it. Any help u can suggest would rally great if there is a fix. I like the system it is good for me, as it challenges me.
