Firefox window display not working correctly?

A problem recently (in the past week or so) has arisen with my Firefox.
I had been using the latest Beta however have now rolled back to version 6.0.2 and am still experiencing this problem.
When I open a window and am browsing, if i 'restore down' the window, the top of the Firefox bar goes clear and I can no longer use the minimize or close buttons. On maximizing the window, none of the buttons (close, minimize etc) work either, and i can only maximize by double clicking where the bar would be...
I have taken a screen shot but don't think i can post it on here.. but can email it if required.
Even as I type this, I can see a folder on my desktop (while the window is maximized)... behind where the very top bar of the window should be... if that makes sense...
Is anyone else having this problem? Or does anyone have a solution?
Please help... it's annoying enough to not use Firefox any more if it can't be fixed...

Well, I can't say much before these cables arrive, so I will have to wait .... today, I dissasembled the iBook - but I stopped after I separated the display from the bottom part - and the cables seemed OK, but one cannot say just from looking ... well thanks anyway will try what can I do
(btw ... I dont know why people want cheap notebook like EEE that doesn't do anything useful, when buying old notebook is much better... but it's too far from the subject, isn't it)

I wish it were that but a long time ago when I had a problem with the gadgets with iGoogle back 6 months ago thereabouts I was asked to disable it then and I did and I just went to re-check and it is still not enabled, however, it will not let me un-install it though.. It only gives me an option to enable or disable.. Any advice ? So I'm wondering if it is something else still or is there a problem with the avast still ?

IPhone bluetooth Windows 7 not working correctly.

Just upgraded my computer to an Asus P8P67 which has built in bluetooth (Atheros). Was messing around trying to see what features I had connecting my iPhone to my computer via bluetooth. When I try to pair it the pair seems to work however when it installs the driver while pairing it says it installs "Not Supported Bluetooth Function" as a driver. The phone does say it connects via bluetooth however as far as I can tell I don't have the features that I should have. When I double click the phone under Devices and Printers it opens up the properties for the phone instead of the screen that shows options like syncing.
So I have two questions:
Is my phone connecting properly? If not is there a known fix for the issue?
What features should I have when connecting my iPhone 3GS to my Windows 7 computer?
I have tested the bluetooth connection with another device and it seems to work fine.

Is it possible to answer calls incoming to my iPhone on my bluetooth connected Windows 7 computer? I have handsfree turned on in the bluetooth settings and the ringtone is going through my computer however when a call comes in I don't see anything on my computer that would let me answer the call, so I have to answer it on the phone still.

Windows Vista not working correctly with Leopard 10.5

I just updated my MacBook Pro 17" by installing Leopard 10.5xx (erased and installed), then used BootCamp to partition disk and install Windows Vista. In Windows, my volume control is on, but no sound. I just got the error, "This problem was caused by a compatibility issue between Intel 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9 and Windows Vista. I am having problems with drivers, and as I'm a new user to Mac/Windows, so I don't even know how to identify which drivers (on Leopard installation disk)I need. In Windows Device Manager I have something called "Human Interface" that needs a driver . . . but my computer can't find it on my Mac or on the disk.
I purchased extended AppleCare warranty, but don't know how to use it, and my 90 days is up so I can't call. Is this warranty strictly for hardware? I don't understand how to get the support/how to information I need; I'm a Windows user and find Apple's support confusing and indirect.

sorry, can't help, but you're definitely in the wrong forum. this is about mac os SERVER (not client) and your problem is related to either the hwardware you use or bootcamp.

Display not working correctly... cant figure it out.

I have a MacBook Pro and for some reason today when I reset my computer and it turned back on the display was stretched about 10px on each side. So when I move my mouse around my screen is moving around now too. Very annoying. I had an external 20" connected to the display and was using it as an extention. When I have it plugged in now I see the 10px from my main display on the external. I have included some pictures because as we know pictures are worth 1000 words. I have tried reseting the CPU several times with and with out the external plugged in. I also tried reseting the display. Another side note on this; I have these random places on my screen that are about dime size that I can tell are fuzzy, the sharpness of the fonts goes away.

Anyone have any ideas of what this is or how I could better explain this problem to the Mac people. Im at a loss of words for what this problem is.

Ok one of those days. Some how I had zoomed in a little. I use the zoom function all the time for videos and such, but I dont remember ever initiating it. This would explain the floating on my mouse and the fuzzyness of the fonts.
LOL... A little more coffe and I will be fine.

To make a long story short, I was having a boatload of problems with my Toshiba Qosmio X505. I spoke to tech support and they had me reinstall the OS and completely wipe the computer. All has been well for days until today!
For some reason every time my screen turns off (for power saving), I can't get my computer to respond. I don't know if it's sleeping, going into hibernation mode, or even the difference between any of that stuff but when I press buttons, move the mouse/touch pad, try the media keys, the power button, nothing makes my computer come back. I have to hold the power button and completely restard the computer to get back on again.
Why is this happening? It was working fine for days, but I think it has something to do with the last NVIDIA driver update I downloaded. That's the main change I've made to the computer yesterday and now it seems to be doing it. Does anyone have any recommendations? How can I make my computer quit doing this? I have all my black screen options off for now but that doesn't seem like a good solution for this problem it used to work fine.

hi, yes my new Qosmio X500/02G is the same when i set power options so my screen turn off after 10 minutes it will not respond with mouse or keyboard like before.
i bought this laptop as 1 year old, and it had a fresh recovery done when i got it, so only had the nvidia graphic driver from 1 year ago (version 189.00) and the screen will recover ok.
i then install the new 270.00 nvidia driver and now the screen wont recover unless i do a complete shutdown using a hard press of the power button.
looks like i will uninstall this new driver back to old ones.
also i notice when this new driver is installed, the driver will scrash for a few seconds where the screen goes black, and comes back on with message to say the "graphic driver stopped responding and has now recovered" so maybe this is also the reason.

*EDIT: ok i just revert my laptop back to the original toshiba nvidia drivers and all is ok now, no problem with drivers or wake up the screen.*

Windows 8 - SC6 started doing weird things, not working correctly

Windows 8 and CS6 - Liquifying tool not working and and actions not working correctly, back ground screen flickers and changes color and does weird things. I have done a complete D&R and it does the same thing. Someone with the same problem suggested a D&R and deactivate, then reinstall and reactivate, could this possibly work? if so, how would you do that? Thanks

Yes, one I can think of. Get the make and model of your video card and head over to the card manufacturer's website.
Check for and install the latest drivers for your card.
Also see if changing the settings of your GPU helps. Uncheck everything (OpenCL Anti-alias 30 bit displays) and start at Basic. then work your way up to Normal and Advanced.

K8600 not working correctly on Windows 7

My k8600 just won't to print with the right scale on word, autocad, adobe reader and maybe the other software installed on windows 7. If i print a drawing or text on A3 sheet the result is that the print occupies only the top-left side of the sheet.
Does a win7 beta driver or an alternative driver exist for k8600???
I had problems with margins in Windows Vista too.... but not in this terrible way!

I can't find it in the support site and the default driver in Windows doesn't work correctly.
The link you provide indicates which printers will have drivers available from the install disks, Windows Update or download from HP. While many drivers have already been posted others are scheduled later. Your printer is scheduled to have full featured drivers available in Late January 2010 as described in [link removed - full featured drivers now available here]
What issue are you having with the supplied drivers?

HI Jason269. Thanks for your reply, however I wrote that I already have "All events" checked. If All Events is checked and it doesn't diaplay all events, how do I fix? It seems this is a common issue, as I have read many others on here state the same problem.
I believe my problem occurred when I synced my iMac calendar to my iPad calendar using yahoo. Yesterday, I unsynced them on my iMac controls. When I checked my iPad calendar, all of my old entries reappeared - but only for five seconds and disappeared again. So, the data is saved and still there but cannot be displayed, even when I have All events checked. In fact, it only shows my individual entries for the last two months, but does show all my recurring entries. If I switched to last six months, I will see everything for the last six months. If I switch back to all events, it is only for the last two months.
As I mentioned, others on here have expressed exactly the same issue, including the two month example and having used yahoo.
For legal purposes, I need to be able to use the information from my indidual calendar entries in an upcoming court case. So I really need to fix this ASAP!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

Elements 13 crashes - Windows message - this program is not working correctly - windows will close it.

I bought Elements 13 4 days ago through Amazon - so far it has not run for more than 5 minutes before Windows closes it down with the message - this program is not working correctly, windows will close it. I know this is not unusual but has anyone got a solution - apart from returning it
with a very unfavourable review? I have tried all the suggested fixes on the Adobe help site with no result. Elements 10 runs OK on the same machine.
Alternatively, is there any possible way to get support from Adobe?

Do you have any version of Premiere Elements 13 or only Photoshop Elements 13 which comes with Elements Organizer 13?
Let us look at the following for Elements Organizer 13....
1. Deletion of disabling the Elements Organizer 13 setting file which is named psa.prf. In Windows 7, 8, o 8.1 64 bit, it is found in the
path
Local Disk C
Users
Owner
AppData
Roaming
Adobe
Elements Organizer
13.0
Organizer
and in the Organizer Folder is the psa.prf file that you delete or disable by renaming it from psa.prf to psa.prfOLD.
2. If the above gains you successful entry into the Elements Organizer 13, then you can
a. create a new catalog
and/or
b. repair or optimize the current one
See Elements Organizer 13/File Menu/Manage Catalogs/Catalog Manager.
3. There are times that certain formats will bring the Elements Organizer down when you try to import those formats into
it. But, from what you wrote, your current problems do not sound media related.
3. At your earliest opportunity, please update Elements Organizer 13 to 13.1 using its Help Menu/Updates.
