5- open a new tab.<br />
6- enter the following address:<br />
''http://4downloads.ir/1391/05/%D8%AF%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%84%D9%88%D8%AF-%D8%A2%D9%81%DB%8C%D8%B3-2013-%D8%A2%D8%AE%D8%B1%DB%8C%D9%86-%D9%86%D8%B1%D9%85-%D8%A7%D9%81%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%B4%D8%B1%DA%A9%D8%AA-%D9%85%D8%A7%DA%A9%D8%B1''<br />
7- now your windows size is different than the firefox aims!

Thanks for your answer.
This problem was cause by '''No Script''' plugin! I was very busy and never thought it maybe caused by an extension!!!
thanks again.

You have probably clicked on a mailto: web link which directs links to send e-mail messages to wherever the webmaster chooses.    Go to the View menu -> Show Statusbar if it available, and then make sure the bottom of your screen is visible.  When you hover over a link, if it says: mailto: it will open in your default e-mail reading application set by your browser or your e-mail program preferences.
Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Software Update lets you change how often you see the software update window.

    Hi,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
If the problem persists, you can try to right-click the taskbar > '''Start Task Manager''', click the '''Processes''' tab > '''Show processes from all users'''. You can then search online for suspicious '''Image Name''' and try uninstalling the external Windows program behind the suspicious name via Start menu or Windows '''Control Panel''' > '''Programs and Features''', or at least make settings changes in the external Windows program. The dedicated security forums will also be helpful:

  • Firefox doesnt seem to work with some sites, ie Linkedin cannot use drop downs etc works fine on IE or Google Chrome.

When using certain sites like Linkedin Firefox seems to bug out, for example drop down menu's do not work and oddly enough when I reply to any email Firefox seems to be unable to register who I am replying too, this was fine until last weekend. I have tried reinstalling Firefox and checking add-ons nothing seems to work, other browsers like GC and IE work fine,
Also not a great support system for FF
    Thanks

Please see if the sites you are having problems with work in Firefox's safe mode. Exit Firefox then Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (safe-mode).

  • When visiting some sites i can not return without quiting and opening foxpro a second time

Step by step, how did you arrive at seeing this agreement?

  • I pressed Windows-M to minimize all screens, then Firefox 6.0.1 (Win XP VM) started to open large number ( 70 in a few seconds) of new Firefox windows (stopped only when I killed the Firefox process with Task Manager). Firefox had no focus at that time.

Windows XP 64-bits Virtual Machine, ServicePack 2, 4MB of RAM, dual processor running on a Windows 7 64-bits host machine, ServicePack 1, 8MB, 8-core processor.
I have worked with that for half a year, no particular issues.
I was working in other program in my VM (so Firefox had no focus) , then wanted to view my VM desktop, so I pressed Windows-M to minimize all windows in my VM. Exactly at that time Firefox 6.0 started to issue new empty Firefox windows, at a pace of about 4 or 5 per second. So I killed the firefox.exe process in my TaskManager to prevent my machine of running out of memory. Then I started Firefox again, without further issues so far.

I'm a Chrome user by choice. I use Firefox for two reasons only:
    1) Speedbit video downloader
    2) A second browser to handle secondary Google and Facebook sign-ins.
If I remove Speedbit, I lose 50% of my reason to use your browser at all.
Speedbit and Firefox worked together just fine before version 19.
PLEASE PROVIDE A PATCH. DON'T BLAME SPEEDBIT.
    Thank you.

  • Firefox keeps changing the address of some sites I use, adding 'www' when it isn't part of the URL. How do I stop this?

    I'm using Firefox 3.6.13
I googled and found an answer I was willing to try, that required typing about:config into the location bar and changing some parameters. And guess what? It added www. to the beginning and told me it couldn't find the site.

Ummm ... see above ... I '''did '''type about:config into the location bar - and it added www. to it. It's adding www. to '''everything '''in the location bar. It does it if I type in an address manually, if I follow a bookmark, and when I use the 'history' link.
Thus it tried to take me to www.about:config and said it couldn't find it.

    No additional information is available

Changing versions often does not cure problems, but it does increase risks.
    * ( Do Not ) [[Install an older version of Firefox]]
The search options will not be changed by downgrading, but there is a method of changing that without downgrading.

I am not sure the changes in Firefox 35.0.1 would cause your audio issues
    * https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/35.0.1/releasenotes/
The first step in troubleshooting that may be to identify the tab or page involved, then try Firefox with only the newtab page and the problem page open.
IIRC Firefox is intended to continue streaming audio even if a tab does not have focus. That enables users to stream audio in the background whilst browsing. What you hear may be intended behaviour.

  • Firefox fails to respond when searching some websites

example.Start a search in ebay. no problem until trying to scroll down a list of items or trying to open a listed item's information. Programme appears to lock up or not respond, hourglass is present for long periods of time, double click on blue bar at top of screen, presents a message "Firefox not responding" this happens all of the time on ebay and TPG internet sites, I do have some problem with Commonwealth securities, some tabs open as blank pages yet the same page on ASX site opens with information. all other sites visited appear normal.

Try the first solution listed here below and you can try the other ones to speed up Firefox also.
How to Stop Firefox plugin-container.exe Process?
By TechnoGadge on July 15, 2010 at 6:30 am
    http://www.technogadge.com/how-to-stop-firefox-plugin-container-exe-process/
Firefox 3.6.6 make browsing slow on your computer? If yes, it may be due to plugin-container.exe, which was added in recent version of Firefox to prevent browser crash. New version of Firefox web browser loads certain plugins in a separate process (plugin-container.exe) to provide you uninterrupted browsing even when certain plugins stops working. But the problem is, plugin-container.exe may use a lot of memory and slow down your computer. You may experience the problem more often while viewing online flash videos. So, want to disable or stop plugin-container.exe in Firefox 3.6.6? Follow these simple steps:
SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE WHICH WOULD BE HERE
    Steps to stop plugin-container.exe process:
    • Open Firefox web browser.
    • Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter key.
    • A warning will appear. Ignore it and press the "I’ll be careful, I promise!" button.
    • In the Filter field type dom.ipc. Six preferences will appear for the filter dom.ipc.
    • Ignore first and last preferences. Toggle (double-click) each of the four remaining preferences to change the value from "true" to "false".
    • That’s it. Look the screenshot.
Explanation: The crash protection feature in Firefox 3.6 is enabled for certain plugins only. The four preferences that we modified here specifies four different out-of-process plugins. They are the the NPAPI test plugin, Adobe Flash, Apple QuickTime (Windows) and Microsoft Silverlight (Windows). These plugins are specified in a separate dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.<filename> preference by default is set to true. We can disable them by changing their value to false. And thus plugin-container.exe will not run. By default the preference dom.ipc.plugins.enabled is already set to "false". So, no need to touch it. The dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs is also not important here as other values are false.

Making Firefox faster Helpful sites – (Note some of this can be repetitive, and some dated.)
    1. I liked this one although not complete, tells you how to make adjustments based on your computer and connection speeds.
    http://www.dagorret.net/2010/04/26/optimize-firefox-as-equipment-characteristics-and-speed-adsl/

    http://webanthology.net/all-you-need-to-optimize-firefox-for-better-performance-33-tips/2009/11/29/
    3. This site has some screen shots which sometimes helps to visualize when you are doing this stuff. I do disagree with a blank home page though. I like mine to go to a search engine ( I use Google). I’ll accept the one or two seconds and takes to load that page and its’ resources. Blank pages are ugly!
    http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-ultimate-guide-to-speeding-up-firefox-3-5/
That should do it for Firefox, the rest of my links were for Windows Vista optimizing.
Again, if you don’t have them, I highly recommend the following add-ons:
Ad Block Plus – Who wants to look at advertisements anyhow? (This is just amazing on how it cleans up browsing!) - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/
WOT – You’ll need this because some of the features to speed up Firefox decrease its security supposedly. - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3456/
Flashblock – This I just added and am still tweaking. The thing you must do is create a whtelist for sites you want to have run Flash: YouTube, Gmail, etc. -
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433/
FastestFox- I don’t know what all this does, but just the scroll down for the next page feature for most web sites visited is well worth loading it.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9825/
Tab Mix Plus – I like this one just to be able to customize the tab features.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122/
Better Privacy – This can get rid of so called long term or permanent cookies that are not cleared when you clear your cookies history. Marketing companies, adware, spyware, etc. usually put these on your computer. They are called LSO’s here and can be removed. If you don’t have this loaded, you are gonna be amazed or freaked at all the sites that are tracking your key strokes.

  • Needed: Two completely separate cookies for two firefox windows (or tabs) for the same site in both.

    Hello,
I have searched and I can not a Firefox (FF) feature or an add-on that alleviates this issue, please let me know if either already exists, thank you in advance for your time.
Issue: I have had great difficulties in having two FF browser windows logged into different accounts on the same site at the same site.
For instance, say I have logged into gmail.com in browser window A.
Then I try to log into different gmail account in browser window B.
Every time I replicate this scenario with secure sites, problems arise one way or another.
It seems as though the two cookies are connected in some way, and I wish I had the ability to disconnect the two cookies from two FF browser windows.
Also, expanding this capability to two FF tabs in a single browser window would be phenomenal.
Thanks again for your time and please let me know of any suggestions that you have.

There is an addon that will allow cookies to be self-contained in tabs. It isn't perfect but it works http://www.nektra.com/products/cookiepie-tab-firefox-extension

  • Firefox won't log on to some sites

When I try to go to some web sites ie hobbypartz.com or nitroplanes.com all I get is google .
If I use explorer I go right to the site. I have cleared all history and cookies to no avail. I have ghostery active.
On top of that I never use google for anything.
System is windows 7 32 bit.
    Thanks
    Bob
