Firefox won't close down when changing websites

I keep getting a dialog box stating that Firefox is running, but is not responding, and that to clear it I need to re-start my computer. By the 10th or so time this happens in a day it becomes just a tad trying.
Cures? Hints? Suggestions? Anyone??

Basically whenever I watch a video and I exit out of the video I have to restart my computer to get Firefox back open. Try holding control, alt and delete down in succession and then a dialogue box will appear with windows task manager. Once open click on the Processes Tab and look for firefox.exe. Highlight this and then click end process. It should come up with a warning but just click Yes. This should then close firefox and allow you to reopen it from your desktop without shutting down your computer. Hope this helps.

Firefox won't close down completely when I close the program

When I close Firefox I can't reopen it later as it still shows it as running in Task Manager in Win XP. I have to go into Task Manager, shut it down there and then I can reopen it normally.

Firefox won't close. When I shut it down, the window closes, but I can't reopen it. I get a message that it is still running. When I shut down my PC, I get a message that Windows can't shut down Firefox.

The question pretty much details my problem. I have to force a shutdown of Firefox and reboot to be able to browse again.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in <u>Safe mode</u>:

Another possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Hi. First time of asking a question so hopefully I will include all sufficient information.
Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit.
iTunes latest version as of today (15 April 2015).
iTunes won't close down. Continually freezes and I have to use Task Manager to close it down. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you are having some unexpected behavior from this app you got from the app store.
I would recommend the troubleshooting in this article named:

1. Update your device software
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
2. Check for app updates
You can setup apps to update automatically in Settings > iTunes & App Store, but make sure that your apps are up to date:
Open the App Store and tap Updates. If updates are available, tap Update All.
If prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information. App Store will then download and install the app updates.
Note: Some apps may require a Wi-Fi connection to update.
3. Install another app from the App Store
If none of your user-installed apps will launch, there could be an issue with Apple ID authorization. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information. You can also remove an app from your iOS device and download it again from the App Store or sync the app from your computer.Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.
4. Restart the app
If the issue affects only a single app, try closing just that app.
5. Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
6. Reinstall the affected app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it:

Right (Command) click on the iPhoto icon in the Dock and see if you can select Quit there or if you get an iPhoto not responding message. If you do get that message you'll have to the the  ➙ Force Quit... menu option then figure out why iPhoto is stalled.

My tool bar won't drop down when I'm online and I can't click out of tabs

When I'm online, my tool bar won't drop down when I move my mouse to the top of the screen. I have to keep pushing the ESC key until the screen finally minimizes. Also, I no longer have the little x in the left corner of my tabs, I have to right click the tabs in order to exit out of them. It's really frustrating and this just all of a sudden started yesterday. Any advice as to how I can fix this?

No - there is no x in an active tab, either - that's my problem! It's nuts.
I can't exit a full screen using option+command+f. ESC was my final straw. Thanks anyway.
I guess I should emphasize that I'm not new to Apple, so I know how my computer works. But I am new to this particular problem, and like I said before, this just started all of a sudden.

Hold down Option Command Escape at the same time, In the window that Appears choose Force Quit Safari...
Or you can click on the Apple Icon (top left) > Force Quit > Safari

Genius screen won't close down on main app store screen

Have now turned off genius in App Store but despite clicking on 'done' it won't close down. Any suggestions as the App Store now cannot be accessed?
