Firefox won't let me play any videos (youtube, hulu, or otherwise)

Yesterday Firefox stopped loading videos. At first I thought I had been blocked by google because I used download helper to rip audio from a bunch of videos (lectures, not illegal downloads). But then I noticed Hulu wouldn't load and even facebook's video player wasn't working. I tried viewing videos on chrome and it worked fine.
I cleared the cache on firefox, ensured I had the latest version of flash and firefox, but that didn't help.
Eventually I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it and that seemed to help, but then this morning I started getting the same error again.
Any ideas?

IE and Google Chrome come with their own versions of the flash plugin, but Firefox uses a different version.
You can also try steps these for issues with the current Flash plugin:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

I got this new Laptop a few months ago and it has just recently started to play up slightly and not let me change my brightness settings at all and now it won't let me play any videos.

First check out your performance settings and if u dont know where to find it just right click on my computer and enter to propreties then click on performance and tools, then if the gamming and desktop aero system are 1.0 then you have three solutions.
1) Install a new windows
2) check out your computer driver and install tge latest version
3) or simply you can download DRIVER PAC SOLUTION and install it then after installation is done you might wanna restart the system and check performance again then it should desplay NEW HARDWARE DETECT REFRESH NOW then click on refreah and the rating is gonna go up from1.0.to higher than 4.0.

FireFox is not letting me play any videos at all!

"Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Try:

I'm not sure what you mean by "the + box". Is that a feature on one of your toolbars?

and from the Menu Bar select Store...
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Authorize.

IPhone 3G no longer has sound and won't let me play any music/videos

The other day a friend of mine tried calling me and when I went to answer I couldn't hear her. I saw that she left a voicemail and when I went to play it, the play but switches from pause back to play very quickly, which won't let the message play. This is also happening when I try to play music or watch videos. I've tried various things, like changing volume settings, plugging in and out headphone jacks, and rebooting the phone many times. Nothing seems to be working. I don't think it's a sound issue since the phone won't let me run apps that require sound. Does anyone know what is going on?

It started around the time I downloaded Google Chrome, but I'm not sure if they had anything to do with each other. Videos and Audio don't work on any site for me- I live in China so I use Youku, Tudou, Soso, Tumblr, and all of these sites used to let me see their videos and listen to audio on firefox but they suddenly just don't. I've tried restarted firefox, reinstalling it, and reinstalling adobe flash player, java script, but nothing seems to work. I know that the videos can work, because they do on Google Chrome, but Google Chrome doesn't have all the plugins I can get on Firefox, and I want to start only using firefox, but I'm unable to do that if all videos and audio refuses to work for me.

TS2972 Homesharing won't let me play consecutive videos. Help?

I have seen a few other users post issues similar (and identical) to mine but have yet to find any solutions to this problem. I have the 3rd gen Apple TV and am unable to play consecutive videos/movies. When my video ends I am brought back to the video menu, but when I select the next episode to play I get the loading screen and... nothing happens. In order for the video to play I need to get up, go to my laptop, and disconnect/reconnect Homesharing in order for it to play. If I don't do this, I stay on the loading screen until I shut it off or go back to the main menu (but if I select another video it will still not play). This is getting extremely annoying and I am quite disatisfied with my Apple TV so far.
I have the latest itunes installed on my laptop and the most recent firmware for my Apple TV.
Any suggestions? Or if this has been addressed and I missed it can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Firefox won't let me play certain games on Pogo WHY?

Certain games on Pogo will not play. Firefox closes it before it can open . I tried updated the new version of firefox and it wouldn't let me do that either.

Java security actually changed last year, and I'm surprised Pogo is giving you that message in 2015. Hopefully your connection isn't hacked and diverting you to a malicious site.

My Ipod won't let me play any of my songs

I just received the Ipod 3rd generation for Christmas I downloaded all my songs and was working great till I let my younger brother listen to it. Now when i press play
the songs aren't playing and I took all the songs of and reloaded them but didn't work.Does anyone have some advice?

Firefox won't let me open any other windows even my trusted sites what can I do to correct this?

When I check my email there are bills and work sites I go to I know that they are trusted but each time I click on the link a message comes up saying Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page. What can I do to stop this? It just isn't certain pages it is all of them I have to click the allow button on the right side of the page just to open the page. Because some of my game sites have pop up windows for the game I have unblock the pop up windows I have check everything else on my computer and all is working fine.

My firefox won't let me open any tabs at all. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

This happened a few weeks ago. I opened Firefox and hit command t and no tab opened. I then hit the little plus button and still no tab appeared. Finally, I went to the menu and clicked on new tab and still nothing appeared. I've never had this problem before. I've reset my computer multiple times, the application multiple times, and even done permission repair on my computer. It's interfering with my work so I really need to know how to fix this soon please.

We have seen reports about a Community Toolbar extension causing this issue with not being able to open a new tab.

Won't let me play my Videos (TV Shows) when the screen is locked...

So, like above says... Ever since I upgraded my Iphones software to 4.2.1 I can't start a TV show video and then exit/lock the screen and use my headphones to start it up again and basically just listen to the video and not watch it. I am wondering if this is becasue of the software update or if it is a glitch in my phone?? It's quite annoying because I don't like having the screen unlocked if I am not actually watching the video.

Looks like adobe messed up. Unable to install the 'required" upgrade required because it won't let you view any videos until you upgrade. Doesn't recognize new password that I changed because it didn't recognize my old one!

I have been trying to install the new Adobe Flash upgrade 17 for most of the day, it didn't want to recognize my password so I went to the web page changed the password and now it still dosen't like the new password. Anyone have solutions?

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
I am starting to believe that Apple is Satan.
