Firefox won't maximise from taskbar and beeps, takes up to 20 times to actually reopen, anyone help?

When I have a window minimized to taskbar, when I click the taskbar to maximise it, I get a beep and nothing happens, the only way I can open it is it click between 3 and 20 times with right click and restore, but for the many times inbetween it finally opening I get the beep and nothing happens, its quite annoying lol

Firefox often doesn't close properly if I have been using the Blackboard 'virtual learning environment'. Task Manager always reveals that the Firefox process is still running and Java as well. Killing Java allows Firefox to close. Is there a more elegant way of ensuring that Java isn't going to block Fx from closing, e.g. because an applet is invisibly waiting for something? It would be good to have a way of pre-emptively 'clearing' Java before closing Firefox. (Gryllida's solution of disabling Java altogether isn't suitable, because Blackboard and many other sites need it.) Thanks.
I run Firefox 4.0.1 on various machines with different OSs: Win XP Pro x64, Win 7 Pro x64 and Win XP Pro x32. All behave the same in this respect.

Firefox won't print from websites and tries to save files instead

When I try to print (print an email, print a receipt from an online purchase, etc.) firefox instead opens the "save as" box and wants to save a .xps file. When I then click either save or cancel, I get an error message stating than an unknown error occurred when trying to print.
I am able to print the same items out of internet explorer, so the problem seems to be tied to firefox and not to, say, my printer.

My grandson deleted Safari and camera from my iphone. When trying to restore the icons it deleted all my photos from phone. On top of this the computer I always used crashed and unable to recover them from there. I think I might have saved the them on the icloud but have no clue how to restore from there. You can't delete Safari and Camera - the most you can do is to move the icons to a differents screen.
If you have a backup of your iPhone, you can do a Restore from Backup. If you didn't have a backup, I'm afraid they're gone.
For the future:
Alway always always keep a backup, on iTunes (my prefernce) or in iCloud (more convenient for some). There is always a risk to anything that's only on the ihone

With Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to 'Lock Rotation' have you then moved the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad above the volume control 'off' ?
Or with the switch set to control 'notification mute' you should be able to unlock rotation via the far left of the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Three beeps at startup almost always indicate bad RAM. You probably need to get your RAM replaced. Bring it in to Apple for a definitive diagnosis if you are unable to run the Apple HardwareTest

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Depends where you purchased it. If it was directly from a cell provider at a subsidized price, it may be locked. Orange in the UK does this.

3GS IPhone shuts off from incoming and outgoing calls 2 or 3 times a day. The phone stays on but I can't call out or receive calls till I turn the phone off and back on.

I have the same problem with my 2 month old 3GS phone. It will shuts off from incoming and outgoing calls 2 - 3 times every day. I would miss important business calls. And will discover it only when I need to make a call. In this case screen looks normal. I choose contact, go to next screen - call in progress, it also looks normal, but there is no dial tone. Than I would restart the phone, and it will work again, displaying my missing calls, and angry voice messages of my customers, which trying to reach me. Please help us solve this problem (or maybe it is time to exchange my 3GS for a new one?)

Yes, a very frusterating issue indeed. Someone else had mentioned a possible issue with real player, I tried getting rid of that and same issues. I even got completely rid of firefox for the moment. Guess what, problem still is persisting. I think this means it maybe something else altogether. I will go back to re-add firefox after I get this straightened out but now using Chrome for the moment.
What I've also found out is that the sound can be restarted when I unplug and replug in the 3.5mm speaker cable from the audio output jack on the back of the computer. Any ideas?
