firefox 3.6.12 won't print with my new HP P1102W laser printer. The printer will print if I use IE8. Please advise settings tomake firefox print with my new printer . I spoke with HP tech support. We reinstalled all drivers. They adamantly say it is a Firefox issue and you should have some modifications for it.
When I try to print from the internet using Firefox, a dialog box pops up which says "preparing to print." However, it hangs and I have to manually shut it down. Doing this terminates the Firefox session, and it will not restore upon restart. This printer will print files on my hard drive, and if I use IE8, which I do not want.

It must be a Firefox problem, since it works perfectly in Chrome.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?

I accidentally turned off bluetooth and now my keyboard won't connect. I already tried to reboot the computer. I can't use the mouse because I ca't get past the user log-in screen. Please help

My firefox was working perfectly before when I had the 3.6 but now it just won't load up at ALL! I've dealt with it crashing on me while I was on the internet but I've never clicked on the tab OVER an OVER again an still not even having the home page show up on my screen. Here is the unsuccessful solution I attempted (3 times):
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then disable Virtualization and reinstall Firefox.<br />
Other security software may have similar features to prevent Firefox from updating files properly.

Adobe Reader XI won't print PDF's in color
I recently built 4 new PC's for my office. They all have Windows 7 64 bit, and are all networked to the same Canon Copy machine. They all print Office documents just fine, in color or black and white as needed. And all but one of them print PDF's just fine as well. However, one of the PC's is only printing in black and white, even when we change the settings to color and even when the preview pane shows the document in color. Gray scale is not checked. I was able to get documents to print in color, but I had to change the "objectives" setting from "General" to "Publication". What I'm wondering is, is there a way to change the settings on this computer so that "General" objectives print in color, or so that the default objective is set to "publication" . Please advise.
Thanks to the previous post by KCoons, I figured out how to fix a similar issue.
MY SITUATION: I was printing thousands of concert flyers to a fairly modern Ricoh printer, and I noticed that even though the source document was B&W, Adobe was printing the greyscale as dots of color, seriously depleting my color toner. I had to play around with the settings to get Acrobat Pro to print it in true B&W, using only black toner.
Later on, I discovered Acrobat would not print ANYTHING in color, while other programs had no problem with color.
THE SOLUTION: This is not exactly the same as the one posted above, which is why I am posting this as a possible alternative for users with a similar problem...
In the PRINT dialog, click on the ADVANCED button to the right of the printer selection field.
In the ADVANCED PRINT SETUP dialog, in the selection field just above the print image, click on COLOR MANAGEMENT.
On the right side, under Color Management, for COLOR HANDLING, select "Printer Color Management."
This solved the problem for me. Now I can print in color again. And it was indeed an ADOBE setting, not a printer setting. -
IPhoto won't see iPhone. No problem with iTunes. Please advise.
I have upgraded to iPhoto '11 v. 9.1.3 a few weeks ago. At some point since then I have noticed that my iPhone will not appear in iPhoto so I cannot import photos. I have tried all the obvsious ways around this but it's not coming up so I have no way of backing up my photos. Can't even get the Bluetooth route to work but that's another question! Have done all the usual such as re-starting both devices etc and nothing. I also recently had to do a restore on my phone and the problem may have happened since then. The phone appears in iTunes no problem.
Please advise as I have some lovely pics of my kids that I want to back up asap! ThanksGreetings Lisa,
The most common cause of this issue is #1. Incompatible picture (received via email or downloaded from the Internet) in the camera roll and #2. Issues with the iOS (not up to date, damaged, etc). As you just did a restore we can probably eliminate #2.

Can't even get the Bluetooth route to work
iPhoto does not import images over Bluetooth from an iPhone that I am aware of. I certainly wouldn't recommend it given low data transfer rates of Bluetooth and the possibility of wireless interference were it possible.
Please advise as I have some lovely pics of my kids that I want to back up asap!
Email the desired images to yourself if you need them off the phone quickly.
Try using Image Capture to import your images. It is found in Macintosh HD > Applications > Image Capture.

Please advise.Once I downloaded the update, I was unable to right click "run as administrator" from the exe file. How I was finally able to update to the newest version was to:
* click the start menu
* click search
* type in firefox
* scroll down to Firefox setup 7.0.1.exe
* right click and select 'run as administrator'
The rest was 'easy as pie'. Hope this helps those that had the same trouble I did.
