Firefox wont always restart on the home page - goes back to the last page viewed
will close firefox,and when i reopen it, it will reopen on the last page rather than what i have set it up for our home page..

The above should be more then enough detail. I do not want the page I was on saved if I close firefox. I didn't used to do this. Before I performed a reformat(yesterday) firefox always went to my home page on launching firefox. I don't know why, it just always did maybe it was a carried over setting from the previous version of firefox or something. The only time it ever didn't was if firefox crashed, which in that case is the only time I want my current page and tabs saved. Can you tell me what I can do to make it so it doesn't do this? This is extremely irritating and unless I can fix it I'm switching to chrome.

I have followed the instructions for setting a Home Page. Firefox always opens in the last page I viewed. Clicking on the Home icon does take me to my Home Page once Firefox has opened.
You can check if you have an user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.

Your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
you can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Since latest update...Firefox will not allow a new page to be opened from a link in a current page. It will allow a new tab to be opened (with tabbed browsing checked) but i prefer a new page. Even in tabbed browsing links to things like a pdf will not work at all.

You can't but you can navigate to Google and add that to your homescreen as a shortcut. Press the arrow on the bottom.

When I open firefox it is returning to the last viewed page instead of my homepage even though I have the settings set to clear history every time I close Firefox. I check and all of the previous history is still there and not deleted..
Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that that there are no longer Firefox or plugin-container processes left on the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Otherwise session restore will reopen the page(s) from the previous session.

I have tried to set my homepage to a specific website. However, whenever I open a new Safari window, it always returns to the last page I was at before I closed Safari. Any ideas? I did this under Safari preferences, open new window to homepage...
Safari is opening using the resume feature. To disable that, quit Safari using Command+Option+Q or Hold Option when choosing the menu item Safari>Quit.

Internet Explorer and FireFox do not support Go To A Page View links between PDFs created with Acrobat 8 Professional. Safari does support the links. Similar problem on both PC and Mac.
Two possible errors occur: (1) the error message “page not found”; or (2) nothing at all happens – the reader does not leave the page.
Do you have any suggestions?Check the target field in the Firefox desktop shortcut and make sure that you do not start Firefox with the -no-remote switch or have set the environment variable MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 (Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment variables).
Always make sure to start at least the default profile without the -no-remote command line switch.
If you need to have more than one profile open at the same time then start subsequent instances with the -no-remote command line switch.
You can not send links from other programs to a Firefox instance that is started with the -no-remote switch.
In such a case you need to drag links in a Firefox window or paste the link in the location bar. -
DVD always starts from the last point
No matter what change I make in the project, the DVD always starts at the last point I stoped! And I need it to start at the main Menu every time.
I've already read many of the topics with similar problem, and tried so many suggestions... none worked for me! Maybe I'm doing something wrong!
I'm using iDVD 7.0.4, Revolution theme.
The first top left auto-start box is empty. Then comes the Main Menu. From it comes 3 other boxes with chapters, all of them with Slide shows (built directly on iDVD) and a few 90 seconds movies (on iMovie, then Exported - not shared with iDVD)
I already tried to delete: com.apple.iDVD.plist and burn the DVD again. I've burned almost 10 already, with different settings!
Please, if anyone can help me, I would appreciate!
Message was edited by: Lu DamasioAll you need do within apple's dvd player app is to select menu and it will remember that spot next time the dvd is inserted into your mac. Or at least it should. If not, then there's something else going on.
A third party set top dvd player (in most cases) will also take you directly to the first menu of the dvd. Unless you simply hit "stop" in which case you should be prompted to resume playback at the last point played. Or again, you can select Menu from the remote to bring the dvd to the root menu page. Your choice. -
Licence is not Authorized for this Home Page View

I am working on siebel 7.7 Industrial Application.When i am going to open the siebel Hospitality Management Application , it is showing that ypu are not having the authorized licence to open the home page view.
What i have to do to open the home pahe for Hospitality application

I am able to get it to appear in the history if I do About View...Try repairing IE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378
You CAN'T download Flash Player ActiveX for Win 8 from here. There's a Windows Update KB patch that prevents it. -
Siebel eService - license error in Home Page View
We installed Siebel CRM v8.0
When we try to log on to eService, get the following error:
View 'Home Page View (eService)' is not licensed for this site.(SBL-DAT-00327)
Any help on this error is greatly appreciated.
