Firefox wont load pages
Firefox won't load any pages. It just does nothing!
I used to use it a lot until this happened a while back. I have reloaded it. I have started in Safe mode.
If I run the mouse over buttons, they change shade, and some work.
But if I want to look at connection settings Tools > Options >>> then the Options box will pop up empty.
If I enter a URL, lets say www.bbc.co.uk nothing happens, no matter what I hit.
I have also tried closing my firewall but still no results.
Any ideas??
Sometimes you only disable the user interface of security software, but the firewall services are still running in the background.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Firefox wont load pages, other browsers do, firefox solutions did not work?
Hello!
I have Windows 7, and run Firefox Beta 36.0. I have it set to update automatically, and it seems there was an update yesterday, and now Firefox will not load any pages.
I have tried changing the proxy settings, configuring the firewall, and restarting my computer; none of them worked. :(
After configuring the firewall, there are now two Mozilla Firefox programs shown (in the allowed programs and features list)? I had made sure to delete, then re-add them, but it made two Mozilla Firefoxes in the list appear. Not sure if this effects anything though.Ah, I figured it out by changing the firewall settings on Norton to allow for firefox and the firefox add-on, instead of auto. Hopefully putting the setting on allow instead of auto wont make me vulnerable to security threats!
I was about to cry haha, Chrome wouldn't download as I wanted to use it until I could find a solution, and I though I would be stuck with IE for forever. xD
Thanks, hopefully this will help others! -
my company have two internet connection ; 1 is dsl connection , firefox working fine on it ; 2 is my company's own cisco 2911 cisco router with internet connection , firefox wont loading pages except just the homepage of google.com and that's it , and the problem is that whole company is using company's internet connection which means that firefox is death for all of us.
Reseting firefox works but just for one day and after that it stuck again. also tried other solutions like malware removal , re installing firefox etc but not worked
Thanks for any kind of solutionthanks alot for your quick reply fredmcd
i have searched alot on the internet and got the solution , it was a thread known as "l.yimg.com". every time i open a website ,it stucks in "transferring data from l.yimg.com" , so what i did is;
1) End the process "random.exe" from task manager
2) Delete all the history and cookies of the infected browser.
3) Opened Registry Editor and delete these malicious entries:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ L.yimg.com
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\L.yimg.com \DisplayName L.yimg.com
HKEY_USER\.default\environment\temp
HKEY_USER\s-1-5-18\environment\temp
HKEY_USER\ s-1-5-19\environment\temp and so on
4) Search those malicious files on your hard disk and completely delete all of its components.
%AllUsersProfile%\{random}
%AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\.dll
it really worked for me , if anyone have the same problem then try it , hopefully it will work for you too.

Firefox 4 wont load page completely or play videos on youtube after clearing cache
Firefox 4 wont load page completely or play videos on youtube and ive noticed its always after clearing cache. after a while it will start working properly but its kind of annoying. Know what the problem is?
oh, there is still a pending issue with youtube unfortunately. I can play videos individually but if I click on a video that is part of a playlist it lags and then goes to a blank space where the video should be. Is that a flash player issue? So, I can play videos individually but not playlists.
Any word on that would be awesome
Thanks again

Firefox wont load but other browsers will
from the start page firefox wont load websites-my other browsers work just fine
hi, such issues are often caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

Firefox stops loading pages after trying to open a heavy page
firefox stops loading pages after trying to open a page with alot of pictures etc, with big size. it just keeps on loading pages with no result.
my internet is fairly low speed so i take my time but this happened each time i tried to open such sites.
even when i close that '''tab''' and try to open just '''google.com''' , it wont load.
its solved after closing and opening firefox again . but happens again if i try to open the same heavy siteWhich security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

firefox is loading pages very slowly, most of times saying server not found. Same pages loaded quickly in ie9. Previously FF used to load pages fast.
FF version 8.0.1, windows vista & windows XP.
Please help
Generally we dont get any reply to the questions asked here!65kid wrote:https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=162327
Thank you for the link, but I am not sure how this is going to help me: I am not booting straight to an X session, but prefer to log into TTY1 and have my login shell handle everything from there.
Here is the relevant part of my .zprofile:
if (( UID )); then
[[ -z $DISPLAY && $XDG_VTNR -eq 1 ]] && exec systemd --user

As far as I understand, your method works if I enable the [email protected] template when actually booting straight to X. -
Firefox wont load gamesite past 70 percent but internet explorer is ok. whats wrong?
firefox wont load forge of empires gamesite past 70% but internet explorer does but my progress is lost. I want to use firefox. what can I do?
You can also check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Firefox wont load any flash player or let me download anything
Firefox wont load any flash player videos and when it does it only buffers so far. I can't download anything like anti-mal/spyware to check if its anything like that.
Try to boot the computer in Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works.
Do you have access to another computer to download the anti-mal/spyware programs and put them on a USB stick with the latest updates or their databases?
You can also try to download them via sites like FileHippo. -

If you are using SpeedDowload, that could be a factor.

LSP causes firefox to load pages very slowly
I'm a developer for a company that produces content filtering software. Our filtering component is an LSP that monitors network traffic. For some time now, we've been experiencing periodic issues with Firefox and our LSP.
This is not a crash, and Firefox is not frozen. But when you try to load a page, Firefox comes to a point where it just spins trying to access the same socket over and over again. Clearly our LSP is doing something that Firefox doesn't like, but eventually Firefox breaks out of the spinning and loads the page.
I'd like to know if there is someone involved with Firefox development that I can communicate with to resolve this issue.Hi coverton,
I did pm you:
You may not easily see this. Initially I do no want to answer your question on the forum, as an answer may then deter others from replying. This is not something that I understand but my suggestions are:
you say for some time you have had a problem <br>
if this is a Firefox regression which version did it occur on <br>
file a bug on bugzilla https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi#h=dupes|Firefox
<br> or you may in fact find it is a known issue, an example of a bug fixed in Firefox 13 is
<br>Bug 712363 - SSL connections do not work correctly when not managed by the socket transport service (including especially when the socket is not non-blocking)
<br>have a look through the mailing lists and forums you may find a useful one http://www.mozilla.org/about/forums/
<br>also consider looking on the various mozillazine forums http://forums.mozillazine.org/index.php
This sort of problem is probably slightly outside the range of problems we attempt to solve on this forum.
My view is that basically if the problem clearly does not exist in one version of firefox, but does from a certain later version then there was some sort of change, and if that was not intentional it is a regression and appropriate to file a bug for. <br/> ( If the change was intentional there will almost definitely be a bug filed documenting the change. )
If you do post a bug suggestions would be
* First try it in the latest nightly just in case the problem was fixed. http://nightly.mozilla.org/
*Try to narrow down a regression window,<br/>so please test in Firefox 10 and 11.
*There is a tool for narrowing down regressions by automatically downloading a bissected range of Nightly builds and running them in turn with a dialogue to confirm or otherwise that there is a problem (last time I tried the tool I had a problem with it but it was probably user error, or is now fixed )
** see https://github.com/mozilla/mozregression
Obviously you will need to rule out that it is due to changes in third party software, and to demonstrate the problem you will need some reproducible steps, so it could be appropriate to try discussing the problem on a forum in order to build some sort of test case prior to filing a bug.
As you have asked here it would be useful to know what happens so please post back if you file a bug or find a forum or mailing list that provides a solution.
Good Luck
P.S. <br/> I note you filed '''''Bug 756216 - LSP Causes Firefox to Load pages slowly ''''' -
Firefox wont load all the page
when trying to add monies to my national lottery account, the security page that validates the payment will not take the password. When trying to reset the password the page which enables this is incomplete.
(enter button displayed) so I am unable to reset. On contacting the lottery they say Oh its firefox and the page is incomplete use another link ie int ex this has persisted for over 6mnths to my knowledge, cannot a service such as yours cure it? it seems unusual to have to change links to get a page to work (It does on int explorer)It seems you may of either in some way damaged your device or downloaded some dodgey software, my best advice is take it into repair before it gets worse, or maybe consider a upgrade for a new phone.
@livvy10 I'm sorry to say but you won't find a solution on such short notice but what you can do is try see if you can get a last minute repair for you're phone, but that's just my suggestion have a look around google for a solution but if you're phone is not loading up its most likely damge of the devices software. The best of luck to both of you, feel free to PM me if you need help with something similar or otherwise else.
