Firefox wont save my downloads to the location i have selected....just keeps saving them to my c drive
my problem is very simple......firefox wont allow me save my downloads to any other location than my c drive....for example i have gone into options and set save downloads to my e drive....but still firefox keeps saving them to my c drive....i have 4 internal hard drives in my rig....and have tried saving downloads to them all.......why this is happening i cant understand....i have tried lots of suggestions....and have re-installed firefox multiple times
hello, there's a general regression in firefox 27 that won't allow files to download directly into a root drive. please try to create a subfolder (like ''E:\Downloads'') and set this as default location for downloads...

My frustration is just with the fact that Apple have become so arrogant as they have grown and have stopped considering their customers like they used too. When releasing new products they make changes like this that provide no benifit at all and they dont think about how it will affect their whole user base.
Bottom line is that I shouldnt have to resort to a forum and then follow a process to create a bootable disk for Mac OSX when I could do it with the last version with no problems......another example is the removal of the YouTube apps from iphone and ipad just because its owned by Google....its pathetic!
Anyway sorry to go on about it........for others looking for a solution to this problem, this link provides a good, simple process to allow you to create a boot disk for Mountain Lion. -
Every single time I launch Firefox 20 under Mac OS X 10.7.5 I get the click-thru warning message "'Firefox' is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?". How do I stop this? There are internet postings and previous postings about solving this using Terminal commands for OS X 10.5.x & 10.6.x, but these commands do NOT work in 10.7.x or 10.8.x. This seems to be a Firefox ONLY issue, and solving it by globally turning off OS X security features as recommended before in a previously closed thread seems like a really BAD solution. Is there a "Firefox only" solution, or will I just have to stop using Firefox?
I had upgraded to Firefox 20 using the automatic update process, so the last time I'd downloaded a .dmg and manually installed Firefox was a long time ago. I trashed Firefox 20, downloaded a new .dmg and manually transferred to Applications folder and this persistent message ended. I assume if I'd ever launched from the open .dmg the same error message would result, so the fix offered was a solution even though the cause was something different since I only used the automatic update process and never manually handled Firefox .dmg downloads.

I have my Preferences set to 'Show my home page'.
Every time I close FF with the X in the top left corner, it comes up and asks me "Do you want Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts?". I check the box not to be asked next time, and have tried both Save and Quit, and just Quit. When I open the browser again it seems to randomly decide whether to open all the tabs I had last time, or sometimes (rarely) just my home page tabs.
I don't want it to open all the tabs I had open, and I don't want the question every time I quit FF. I've used FF for years with XP, but I am new to Mint.Does setting the "warnon" prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page to false has any effect?

If it says your billing info is wrong that means that your credit card issuer is refusing to approve your account. You will have to solve the problem with your bank or credit card company.

In order to get those to work you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

Hello, is there any way of having a reboot disk for lion that I'm downloading, like the one I have with snow leopard ?
Once the Lion download is complete quit the installer and follow these directions. The file you need to make a boot disk disappears after you install Lion.

However, the Lion installation includes a recovery partition. It won't be of help if your entire HD dies but is very handy otherwise. This Knowledge Base article has a lot of good information about Lion's recovery partition.

It's hard to tell what's wrong with your Apple ID. Maybe the country you have registered is different from what your friend have registered. Apps are available differently in different areas. That's what I see.

You should be storing your music on a computer that you sync your iPad mini to. You can then sync your iPod to the same computer to copy over the music to the iPod.
