Firefox4 does not run on Mac OSXv10.4.11. Can NOT reload v3.6.12. What do we do

I was forced to update to firefox v4, only to find out that it does NOT run on Mac OSX10.4.11. I can nor re-load the older version v3.6.11. It means that we need to migrate to anther system provider. This is a shame since we like Firefox's features. Can you help suggest way forward pls?

Sun Studio 12 does NOT support RH5 -- only RH 4
Sun Studio 12 update 1 supports RH5, RH5.1, RH5.2 and RH5.3
Oracle Solaris Studio 12.2 supports RH5 - RH5.4, with some testing on RH5.5

I close Firefox then when I try to reopen it later it tells me its still running and I should close that before opening it again... But its NOT running in a way where I can close it!?! What should I do?

I am using Firefox in a Windows 7 64-bit environment. I have what I feel is a fairly standard set of programs installed. MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Nero Burning ROM, Diskeeper... etc. And I have the latest regular version of Firefox installed, version 3.6.13.
And lately 2, out of 3, times I close Firefox it must not be closing correctly. But I cannot tell until I need to reopen it. Then I get an error message saying that it's already running and I should close the "current instance" of the software. Now I can either start up the task manager and kill it ... or I can restart my computer. And I've done both. But it keeps happening.
So I am wondering what might be causing this to happen? And If there is anything I can do to correct the issue?

The easiest way would be to update to at least 10.7.5 (supported on most older Macs) but maybe you have strong reasons not to do so, however it will put you in to more trouble in the future because newer applications have more often the habit of not being able to support older OS versions due to limitations of this old OS.

However PS CC should still work on your system and otherwise CS6 should. As a cloud subscriber you still have access to both CC and CS6 on the Adobe CC download pages. But only PS is a major upgrade (changed to version 2014) and Bridge has just a minor update and should still work on 10.6.8 I would think?
Installing the updates and upgrades did not remove or uninstall the CC versions of PS, otherwise use CC application to install CC again.

Yes, the file extension is M4R. Does it matter where I save these files on my Macbook? I then opened them in Itunes and played them. I did find the Tones folder in Itunes but the Tones or Ringtones tab does not show up when I select Iphone (within Itunes). When I open the Tones folder in the Library, it is empty. You mean the default OS X mail app? Try reinstalling OS X Yosemite if that's the case.
If you are referring to 3rd party mail applications, that's a compatibility issue. Some apps don't work in the new operating system. You have to wait until the developer updates the app, or you have to revert back to Mavericks to continue using it.

I got a message that 4.0 was available for downloading. I downloaded 4.0 and installed it in apps. when clicked firefox the error message advised me that 4.0 would not run on mac os x.

Try a hard reset and go from there. You might try a manual install (using DFU Mode), as outlined in the link below.

InDesign CS5 (Mac OS 10.6) can not open its own file

I need guidance to open an artwork file that in one hour I have to send to the print shop. InDesign refuses to open its own file.
Any clue? Adobe, please help.

Thank your for helping us out. It was really necessary to ask a coworker to open the file and export it in InDesign markup language.
Three hours later than expected, but it's done!
We are stuck here. I'm a Master Collection user of CS5, using only Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge and Acrobat Pro. (I don't know why I bought the Master's). My coleague former Window user, got a Mac in May and downloaded the trial version of Design Studio Standard Collection of CS5.5. Before expiring, we purchased its license and filled it in the active trial version.
A couple of months ago we noticed that were missed Plug Ins on his version and contacted Adobe who instructed us to download the whole files again. We never did because it is a pain to get rid of the missing parts of a pre installed trial version etc.
I will ask Adobe to send a CD disk for his version.
