FireFTP seems corrupted. I can't go to FTP sites and it opens itself in a second tab whenever I open Firefox

When I open Firefox, a second tab opens at the same time: chrome://firefrp/content/fireftp.xul. When I open FireFTP I cannot log onto an FTP site. I can't add an account or access an account

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling FireFTP?
In order to uninstall an extension, please do the following:
#From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select ''Add-ons'', or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the ''Tools'' menu and click ''Add-ons''.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

First of all, thank you for replying so promptly to my posts this morning!
I can't remember how I got the software on his computer, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't through migration assistant.
I was looking into doing an uninstall of InDesign and a fresh install. However, I initially downloaded the CS5 suite digitally and I can't find out how I am able to perform a fresh install of InDesign. Do you know where I find this info or gain access to download just InDesign again? I can't seem to find anything in my Adobe account that shows where I might do another download.

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

How can I find out the server port for a secured FTP site and creating a FTP Connection Manager

I have to create a FTP Task to go out and get the files that our 3rd party vendor will be dropping on a secured FTP site. I have all the credentials to access that Secured FTP Site and have successfully done so through FileZilla.
Now I need to set-up a FTP Task to go out and get their files and in so doing create a FTP Connection Manager. Is there any way I can determine the
Server Port number from the Secured FTP site? I let it default to 21 and tried the Test Connect and it failed.

SSIS has a built in FTP task, while this only works for the FTP protocol, it doesn’t support SFTP. But there are some free clients like WinSCP and
SSIS SFTP Task Control Flow Component
available in the CodePlex which can invoked from SSIS.

I can find no way to have 2 windows open as we used to do, to be able to browse the iTunes library in 11, at the same time we have our own library open. I figure this ability must be here, but the right-click option seems to be gone.

I don't want to write them on paper and seems a little dangerous to just make copy to a disc like I did with others things (programs, fotos etc...)

How can I export my Active logins and my extensions list to my new laptop (( I'm using Firefox 3.6.4 and Win. 7 on both ))

I just want to export my big "login" list as because of depending on firefox to remember it and automaticly retype it I 've forgetten many of them! so if I can move this list to my laptop it would be easier and greater than login to every site and fourm I've joined and re-join again and lose my member or I've to ask a new password from each site then go to my email and login then change the password to the old one, it would be very nasty to do this to all of my logins!.
and also can I move my installed extensions with there currently option to firefox in my laptop having the same version of firefox "3.6.4" or I've to install them again in the laptop?.
Note: both my computer and the new laptop running on Windows 7 professional OEM and having the same firefox version

When I open Firefox, google comes up as my default page. This is fine but if I open additional windows next to the default page nothing comes up.

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".

I can't remember by FTP login and password CS4

How do I find out my login and password with Dreamweaver CS4. I can't upload any modified web pages without this password. Can I have someone e-mail me a new password? Can I just change to a new password?

No, that's not the problem. The credentials you enter in DW must match your FTP account credentials of your site.

Can't save-All-relative files and don't see check_cs5.css under tab index.html

after closing check_cs5.css in the second tutorial I was suppose to get two tabs (source and check_cs5.css) which I could click on (underneath the index.html document tab). I don't see these. I can't get both the Design window AND the check_CS5.css code window. I only get the code for index.html and the design window. For some reason when I was suppose to save "all-relative-files" ... that was grayed out so I "saved ALL". I don't know why that was but it probably had something to do with the problem I just mentioned. This occurred near the end of tutorial 2 of the beginner tutorial.

How can I create an ftp site when using Airport Express?

I am very new to computers and have never used a Mac before. I'd like to create an FTP connection with a friend in another city to get large files transfered. I've followed the instructions in the Sharing pane but my friend still isn't able to get through. I'm assuming it's because there is a firewall in the Airport express and I need to create a port to get the files through. Can anyone help with this? I seem to be having trouble creating an address that works. I also seem to have a non-static IP address since it changes each time I check it.

Can't login to certain sites and Firefox doesn't set changes for Permissions

Each time Firefox upgrades I have difficulty logging into www.cokeunleashed.com.au. Had this problem in the past and was fixed by going to Tools, Page Info, Permissions. When I go to Tools, Options, Privacy and make changes, click OK but when I go back the changes have not happened.
I am also having difficulty logging into to supercoach on www.heraldsun.com.au website

Rename the file "permissions.sqlite" to permissions.sqlite.sav in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file is corrupted.
This will remove all exceptions (cookies, images, pop-ups, software). 
If renaming didn't help then you can undo and rename the file permissions.sqlite.sav to permissions.sqlite to get back the old exceptions.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
