Saying the given disk is in use by a driver.Even though it s for "Mactionish HD" Disk . Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Macbook display sometimes fails to turn on after shut down (2008 2.4Ghz dual core 2 duo - 2GB DDR2 running OSX 10.6.8)

I own a black macbook (early 2008 model) and for the past few months the display has occasionally (although recently more often) failed to turn on when booting. This only happens every one in four times after a full shut down. When I turn on the computer, I hear the hard drive boot and the fans start going, I also get a response in the white light indicator. When this occurs, I then have to press the on/off button to shut the macbook down, then press the button to turn it on again. Sometimes this works on the second try, but other times it takes 3 to 4 times turning it on or turning it off. Initially I thought it was a hard drive issue (and planned to purchase a new hard drive), but after connecting the laptop to an external screen, the desktop shows up (macbook display remains off despite unplugging or replugging external display). Used TechTool Deluxe - found no issues.
Booted computer and pressed D to perform a Mac hardware test - no problems found.
Not sure what to do now...

Hi. I have a Sony LED Bravia KLV-32r402A.My TV is failed to turn on. This is the chronology.1. Turn on the TV.2. Sony Image appears3. Turn on for less than 1 minute.4. Off immediately.5. Please perform power reset. Here are the steps.
Turn off the television.
IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
Turn on the television.

I have a problem with my Qosmio X500-10T:
After placing it into Sleep mode, upon waking it up again (opening the lid, pressing a key, moving the mouse or pressing the power button) the screen fails to turn on (it could possibly be a black screen, although I doubt it as I cannot really see any traces of the LED backlight). The only way beyond this is rebooting by holding down the power button.
I appreciate any help.

I have a X500-10T, under 4 weeks old. Straight from the box it had the problems with going to sleep/hibernation and the only way to bringit back to life was to remove the battery and follow the reset procedue as instructed by Toshiba technicians. Currently the sleep and hibenation has been disabled, it was unuasble. I have a bluetooth mouse that also is a nightmare, it drops in and out of operation at any time, mostly if left untouched for a while. Some times a reboot brings it back to life whilst at other times it takes 30-40 minutes of switching on and off a number of settings, cant' realy workout what's going on. This unit was supplied with the latest BIOS ver 1.4 so not known any difference.
Technicians aslo did a full re-set bakt to factory defaults, this did not make any difference apard from giving me several hours of work in restalling all my programmes. I am worried as I only have just over 11 months warranty left. I have been advised not to use the fingure print identification system as any protected data will be un recoverable if it goes wrong, I would be interested if any other users have any concerns about this, the reminder to set this is driving me crazy, and apparently it can't be switched off when I asked.Has any one who had thee issues managed to get it sorted. The big question for me is it a BIOS problem, graphic card software issue or a Windows 7 issue.

I just had the same issue.
resolution:
get to your network settings - disable wifi, then enable 3G and cellular connection
Now get back to icloud backup menu and try to enable. of course it wont work. back again to network settings switch wifi back on, and got to icloud again. This time it will allow you to set your backup

Sony A7 failed to turn on after updating firmware 2.00

As i mentioned, my Sony A7 failed to turn on after updating firmware 2.00. It just appear a blank screen after click the finished button on the updating app on Mac. I waited for more than an hour and there is still no thing happened.

I have an iPhone 3GS. It It shutdowns random, it fails to turn on, it displays a white screen with colors lines.

I have the 3GS and it recently started the RSD. At first I thought it was just the batter not holding a charge and being lower than what the display showed. However, even when fully charged the RSD's occur mostly when loading either Apps or web pages in Safari.
I have not experienced the white screen and colored line, yet apparently. Is this the logic board like in the MacBook's?

To unfreeze it, reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.
To troubleshoot your problem with backing up to iCloud, this may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your iPad that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

My iPod now turns off after failing to turn off.

When my iPod couldn't turn off and the battery drained, I deleted "the song" when the problem came, full-charged it via the computer and it haven't occurred again.
I occurs to me:
1-Sometimes certain files get corrupted, for example word files, and get the application fail. I am not sure this fixed the problem but for the moment everything is OK with my iPod.
2-I noticed that when my iPod is recharged, I need to wait two or three minutes for turning off, otherwise it is imposible. And if you hear closely there is some noise in it. Don't try to turn off inmmediately after recharging it.

Hi Lieu.
The system automatically sets the status for the load to incorrect if the waiting time is exceeded. The load will still be running even though it might look incorrect, and that is why it turns green when it is complete (and everything is correct).
You can set the waiting time if you go to the monitor -> choose a request -> settings -> waiting time up to status incorrect (ctrl + F9).

Backlight failing imac turns black

My screen turns black, randomly... and sometimes within 10 second of turning it back on.
Genius bar, and all other generic analysis have shown 'no hardware problems'
Since it looked like a software thing, I went all the way.
I erased my iMac, and started from scratch... re-installed Mountain Lion.
but yo!
It happened again!!
My screen blacked out.. hasn't done it repeadedly -yet though.
When the screen blacks out, the cpu and hard drives keeps going.. it's not going to sleep.
It's just the backlight (or whatever is controlling) it is failing... over and over.
Haven't found an answer yet...

Yep, we have 2 from work that are the same
We took them to apple and then the next day they said they couldnt fail them.. the tings fail constantly and on any mac pro.. thyey must not of even looked at them,
They lost the sale of 2 monitors as they didnt test them so why would I spend any money with them on new ones..
This is the trouble with companies making a lot.. they forget about how hard the journey was to get there..
I have contacted Nextbyte 2 times as I have a mac with a dodgy seagate and I stated that I wanted to lodge my Mac, 2. If they could ghost my currently drive I would be happy to pay for it
Nothing, they have not responded..

My iphone is failing to turn on when i plug it into a computer

so a couple of weeks ago i was at work and my iphone randomly went into the connect to itunes screen and i didnt know why but i turn my phone on and off and it was fine since then my iphone has slowly been dieing of batterie when i had tones of charge it started turning off at 10% then 15% then 20%, 40%, 50%, 80% 95% and now the only way i can have it on is if i have it constanly charging but then the other day it came on with the connect to itunes if i connect it to a charger it goes to the connect to itunes screen but if i try and connect it to a computer to do that its just goes to the loading screen for 5 seconds then turns off then turns on for 5 seconds ect. i left it there for a hour or so to see if i got lucky and it would turn on and it crashed my computer :S i NEED HELP i really need my phone for work can some one please help me fix it? im not very technical person so if some one can fix it i would be very greatful and also i dint really understand how to setup an appoint ment with the apple store if someone could explain that also

It is usually given as a communication error between Apple, iTunes (your computer), iPhone. Somewhere they are not communicating, so the iOS you are trying to install cannot be approved by Apple. Trouble shooting steps include, making sure you have Current iTunes installed, make sure your Hosts file of computer is not blocking Apple. Try restoring on another computer.

My computer failed to turn on, how can I get my music back?

My computer (windows) turned off the other day and will not power back on. We swapped out the power supply and it still does not come back on.
How do I get my music back? I am afraid to log into another computer with my username and password because my library is sync up on the computer that is broken. I have a lot of purchased songs that I was not able to back them up in a few months.
I also have an iPhone, so I will need to keep it up to date with iTunes, but once again the computer will not turn on.
Please give me some advice.
