Firewall message sharing from Organizer to Facebook

Firewall message in Elements Organizer when trying to share photos to Facebook. Have used it many times in the past with no problems.

Me also. In the past no problem. Went to use it today, and it won't work. It states I either am NOT connected to the internet, which I am; or the firewall is preventing, which it isn't. This is very frustrating.... From the posts now, I see, its a photoshop/facebook problem....I hope they fix it FAST !!!

Items or messages shared from within apps by email don't get sent but sit in the Mail app outbox until sent manually.

Many apps, including the Photos app, allow many options for sharing or social networking. When I select to send by the Mail app the message never gets sent as I would expect, but remains in the Mail Outbox until I remember to drill down to the Outbox and send it manually.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Is this normal?
Is there a 'Setting' that causes this?
Why doesn't the message just go?

I've been having similar issues with my iPhone 5 and the latest iOS version. I read somewhere else about an issue with having Exchange and Imap in use with Mail being an issue. I had both, but had my Exchange connection to Gmail off. I was still having the issue.
The solution that worked was to delete my Exchange Gmail account. Now, emails are being sent immediately. If you have Exchange and Imap Gmail accounts on your iPhone, pick one and delete the other. Good luck.

Why can't I see any notification when message come from Tweeter or Facebook?

After installed OSX 10.8 GM and Facebook developer perview. I double check my setting, suppose it can receive anything form Facebook and Tweeter. But the result is, nothing show in the notification center. At the sametime, new mail can show up!
Do I did something wrong?
Anybody can help?

i dont think OS X 10.8 grabs your twitter or facebook feed and displays them in your notification center. it only allows you to share stuff (links, status, etc) on those services. at the moment fb is not built in to the OS yet, it will come as an update in the fall.

Sharing a photo from Finder to Facebook reduces picture size

Yesterday I installed 10.8.2 upgrade and I tried sharing from finder to facebook. Picture size in finder is 720px × 437px and after sharing 346px × 210px in Facebook. How can I keep original size of the photo after share?

iPhoto for iOS always optimizes the shared photo for the site it's being shared to. The only way to edit a photo and export it that I know of is to share it to iTunes. Unfortunately that means to get the photo you have to sync with your computer, export it from the file sharing section of iTunes then share it to the site you want to put it on.
To get around this limitation I use an alternate app. My favorite is Photoforge2. It will work with any photo you have in the Photos app and export at the file size you want. You can leave the file at its original size or make it smaller. Your original file will remain untouched and the edited file can be shared back to the Camera Rool in the Photos app if desired. You can also share to a variety of sites like Photobucket or email the photo.

Message recall from shared mailbox greyed out Outlook 2010

Can anyone advise if it's possible to recall a message sent from a shared mailbox? The user has full access permissions to the shared mailbox but the 'recall this message' option is greyed out.
We have installed the hotfix below but it says the update is already installed on the system?

Try to remove and grant the user the permission to the shared mailbox again to see if the issue still exists.
This issue should have been fixed by kb2475877, please also make sure Office is patched up to date.

Problem posting photos to facebook from Organizer

I have always exported photos from Organizer and then posted those .jpg files on Facebook however, this has suddenly stopped working. I am still exporting the same way to a .jpg file but Facebook now tells me that it can't read the file. I have confirmed that the files are under 4mg and they look normal in Finder. Nothing has changed on my computer and I'm baffled as to why this has happened.
Please advise on how to fix this problem!

Thank you. I'm not sure how to capture a screen shot but the error is "Can't read Files. Your photos need to be less than 4MG and saved as JPG, PNG, GIF or TIFF files"
My file was exported as a .jpg and was 1.2 MB but I still got this error.
I tried your suggestion listed above and restarted but when trying again, got the same error.
I tried to export the file as a TIFF and it seems to work fine. This seems to have something to do with the process of exporting to JPG. I have been using the same workflow for a year and I'm not sure why it stopped working.

In my enviroment , I have Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007 - i have a shared mailbox called
ServiceDesk. I have added this mailbox to user "Mike" and given mike "Send as Permission" .
The problem
When ever mike sends an email from ServiceDesk
- the email goes to his personal sent items instead of the sharedmailbox
sent items. Is there a way to force any email sent from serviceDesk Mailbox to its own sent items folder? .

This is maybe the wrong forum for this question, but anyway;
Thie site you were pointing out's solution is valid.
Please look in to the following KB article that describes the steps needed to solve this issue. A hotfix package (which you might not need and a a "fixit" dowload for it, but will also change the registry key.

If you have a larger environment and would want to deploy the registry value, I'd suggest using Group Policy Preferences Registry settings.

Messages not working while using Internet sharing from my iMac ... Any troubleshooting tips/approaches ?

I am connecting to the internet using the Internet Sharing from my iMac ...
The trouble is the messages in the Messages app are not sent when I am connected through my iMac ... When I key in a message and hit send a progress bar appears fills up till 90% and just gets stuck there and after a while the red exclamation mark stating the message was not sent appears ... Now if I connect through my wi-fi router or thether through my phone it works fine ... I can send / recieve messages ...

Creating a new album on FaceBook when sharing from Photo app?

With the FaceBook camera app you can create a new album while sharing photos from their Camera app on my iPhone 5.
However, I only can see a way to upload to existing albums while sharing from the iOS 6 Photos app. Is there a way to create a new album while sharing?

You need to sync all the photos that you want in one go - only the contents of the most recent sync remain on the iPad (as you've found out). If you want separate folders/albums, then the folders to sync need to be directly off the same parent folder, select that main/parent folder i iTunes, and then chose which of the folders underneath it to sync: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236

1. When "sharing" from imovie to idvd, error message appears reading: "unable to publish project due to error-41."
2. Successfully "shared" once, with the first clip upside down.

Most probably it's the Start-Up/Boot/Mac OS hard disk that has less than 5Gb free space.
To let iDVD run OK - This Start-up hard disk should have 25Gb or more due to that
Your Mac is running a sort of UNIX (Mac OS) and this makes Mac OS and iDVD to use
lot's of temp files - AND they can not be addressed to any other hard disk at all.
More RAM - will not help
External/Second hard disk will if You first formatte it as Mac OS Extended and
move material over to this (or use it as Start-up hard disk)
External Start-up hard disk must be FireWire - NO USB2 will do this.
Must be Mac OS Extended formatted
Western Digital - My Book Serie - Can't do this.
My Lacie - works gladly as secondary start-up hard disk.

How do I show in Facebook message "sent from mac"? Is it possible?

I was wondering if there's any option as such which would show "sent from mac" in facebook. Please, free to leave your ideas. I'd love to hear them.

Uploading from PSE10 to Facebook

I've been unable to upload from PSE10 to Facebook and have been getting an error message to say that I need to check that my firewall settings are not preventing access and that I'm connected the internet. I've checked both of these and checked that there are no proxies running. I've also reset the accounts, cleared online service data and restored the default settings under edit>preferences>adobe partner services. The photos were shot in raw but I've uploaded in this format using the same cards and camera a number of times before with no issues.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I am having the same problem. I used to be able to, now all of a sudden, I can't anymore. I haven't changed any settings on my computer or the Photoshop Elements. How and why is this happening? I don't understand. I have an internet connection at all times, and the firewall is set to allow this program. So, why did it stop all of a sudden???
