Firewall Settings - Always allow a certain application to have access

Every time I open iTunes it prompts me to allow it access to through the firewall. Is there someway that I can tell the firewall that it's really OK and that iTunes can ALWAYS have access?

I was playing around in there before and I can't see anything that allows you disable the prompt permanently, from what I'm reading from som, it's an iTunes bug.

If you can't correctly guess that address, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

Query to extract users and the applications they have accessed?

I have been requested to list users and the external applications they have accessed (if they have that is!)
I produced a list to show they had logged on using the object orasso.wwsso_audit_log_table$
and I extracted the the applications they had access to using the objects orasso.wwsso_application_info_t and orasso.WWSSO_APPUSERINFO_T
But what I need to find is whether the users have access the applications listed in.
I have looked at alot of objects but nothing seems to spring out at me.
Please can anyone help?

How do I change my firewall settings to allow Spotify?

I get a message pop up that says.... A firewall may be blocking Spotify. Please update your firewall to allow Spotify (error 101)
Please help I am so terrible with anything other then the basics.
I found my firewall settings but I could only figure out how to turn them on and off. This did not help.

Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. Finder always restarts. I can't have access to folders.

Everytime I doubleclick any folder on my desktop, the folder will appear for only a split second and then disappears. Finder seems to restart every time. I have access to all my files (opening them from within the applications). The dock works fine.
I have a MacBook Pro which is one week old. Until now everything was working fine. Any idea what this might be?

Log back into your normal user account:
Here's the whole litany for thoroughly checking your home folder. It's not as daunting as it looks.
1. Navigate to ~(YourHome/Library/Fonts - drag this folder to the desktop.
• Restart and test your applications.
• If they work start adding the fonts back few at a time.
( Likely suspects are Times RO & Helvetica Fractions, also if you do not use Classic you can trash the classic fonts.)
2. Check Preferences Thoroughly;
• Navigate to ~(YourHome/Library/Preferences drag this folder to the desktop.
• Restart and test your applications.
• If this works, save the old preferences folder somewhere else or on disk, name it "old prefs" .
** Note: A very important file is the "com.apple.Mail.plist" preference file located in the Preferences folder which contains all email account settings and general mail preferences (hold this one and replace if your problem is not with Mail).
You'll have to go through some of your System Preferences and apps to set the preferences back to how you like them. (Or if you have the time and inclination, "cherry pick" through until you find the problem one or two.)
3. Check Permissions Inside Home Folder
• Navigate to YourHome/Library.
• Get Info (Command - i) on folders for apps you are having problems with.
• Open the "Ownership & permissions" disclosure triangle.
• Make sure you are the owner, with "read and write" access.
• Click on "apply to all"
• If this is correct, open the "Applications Support" folder and do the same procedure (Command+I) for the folders with the names of the applications you are having trouble with.
Note:
The reason to check this is because repairing permissions with Disk Utility doesn't touch permissions inside your home folder.
4. Navigate to YourHome/Library/Caches and drag this folder to the trash, then log out and back or restart. There is no need to replace this folder.

When I start Firefox it is always looking for a proxy. I change it in settings but it won't save it. I have the latest version.

First I want to say that I did read the "Read this first" sequence, but I have no idea how to find out where all those posts are or how to browse for them, so PLEASE do not be cross with me if I am asking something already addressed. Here is my problem: I downloaded and installed the latest version of flashplayer according to the instructions. That gave me the flashplayer debugger and it all works like a charm on my administrator account. But as soon as I switch to a regular user account (any non admin, acct) it is as if I had not installed anything that is the videos do not get displayed instead I get a blank space, My computer Operating System is a windows 7 and I use Internet Explorer version 8. the win 7 runs both the 32 version and the 64 version of the IE8 but I never use the 64 (because I read somewhere that does not work), Thank you very much!

First thing(s) to try:
on the limited account, can you see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?
if yes, can you right-click on the Flash object, select Settings, then disable Hardware Acceleration?
if still not working, can you check IE Tools | add-ons, if Shockwave Flash object is enabled?
If it still fails, can you try the following:
download the executable installer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe (save to disk)
still on the limited account, right-click on the downloaded installer, then select 'Run as Administrator')

How do I remove "Allow all connections" for Pando in my firewall settings?

In System Information under Firewall Settings - Applications, I see the following: com.pando.pando: Allow all connections. However, when I go to System Preferences and look at the firewall options, this is not listed, nor can I find any trace of Pando anywhere else on my computer. Is this hidden somewhere, and how can I get rid of it?

If you are talking about "Avast!" Security Software, either the free or the paid version, the following may apply to you:
There are three main levels of Security in the Avast! software: Home, Work, and Public
Home is the setting many people use when "at home", that is, connected to the home network. The home network is sometimes defined as the "192.168" network: these are the computers and printers that you have and use in your home environment. The network is (most usually) private and (should be) secured with with a passphrase at your router. The Avast! Software sees the "Home" network as a "safe" environment: devices connected within the "Home" network are allowed to "talk" (communicate) with one another without undue restrictions.
Work is the next setting. The software places some restrictions on this level of communication. Home users can certainly use this setting -- in many (most) cases, the "Work" setting is a solution that provides for communication and a bit more security for the home network and its devices.
Public is the strictest setting and is meant to keep your computer safe in a public place: the library, coffee shop, on a street corner. Outside "prying eyes" are prevented from peeping and outside communications are restricted.
If you have set (or left) your Avast! software set to Public, or even Work (and you do not know how to handle the restrictions), then you may have simply locked out the communication between the printer and the computer(s) on your home network.
Open your Avast! Software and set the security level to either "Home" or "Work".

Advanced Users Only - You will know if you changed the Rules... this is not something one does by accident.
If you have changed the rules within the settings, you may have locked yourself out. Make sure you have both "in" and "out" traffic settings adjusted correctly for each rule you change / adapt / add.

Allow AIR desktop application throw windows firewall

Hello.
i have created a samll AIR application that interact with other applications using p2p (stratus). the application works fine however on windows 7 the firewall blocks all incoming calls (and the applications simply does not recive them with no spceial indication from windows on the block). when i add my application to the allowed progrmas in the firewall settings everthing works fine. the problom is that i want that many users will install my application.
how can i add the application to the allowed firewall programs (on windows 7) automatically during the applications instaltion (i created the instaltion using the "Export Relese Build" in the Flash builder).

I have a strange but irritating problem. The funny thing is that it suddenly started happening barely a week ago.
My firewall is switched on. Every single time I start iTunes, one application that's having the issue, a question box pops up asking me:
"Do you want the application "iTunes.app" to accept incoming network connections?"
Now the issue is that in my advanced settings under Firewall I have added iTunes, and all the other apps that are doing the same thing, with the "Allow incoming connections" showing next to it. It's only happening with a few apps too which is the annoying thing.
So can someone please tell me why it keeps asking me if I've already allowed the apps in my firewall settings? Better yet, would someone help me get rid of it?

I don't know how to solve your problem, but would ask one question that may make it all moot... are you using your machine behind a router? (If you are using your own wireless network at home, for example, the answer would be "yes".) If so, the firewall is completely unneeded, as unwanted incoming connections will never make it past the router. So, you might as well turn it off.
Cases where you might want the firewall (and I emphasize the "might" as Macs are pretty secure to begin with) would be:
• You're on an open wireless network where you can't predict who else might be on with you and what they might be up to.
• You're connected directly to some "dumb" network device like a cable modem, without a router in between you and the wider world, and thus will receive all manner of unwanted incoming connections.
