"Firewire connections..." Won't stop showing that message.

My Ipod keeps saying:
"FireWire connections are not supported. To transfer songs, connect to the USB cable provided. Press Center to dismiss."
when i press the center button it just flashes the message again and it won't go away. my ipod is fully updated, i have tried restoring it several times and it keeps saying this message. Well, first a couple days ago it would not turn off, so I figured it needed to be updated. And now this..
If anyone has any help i would greatly appreciate it!

You may be using a firewire from a previous ipod. The 5th generation ipod will not support firwire. It will only be good for charging.

Are you running the most recent version of iTunes for Windows on your PC? You may be running an older version that is incompatible with the 4s.

My system won't connect to server after showing that update for 29.0.1 has been accepted

I receive notice that an update to 29.0.1 is available and have for a week or so. When I install the update a window opens that shows a progress bar that continues to respond, as progress message shows.. connecting to server. I have waited for up to 10 minutes with no change to progress. When checking with mozilla my system shows that I have the latest version. These updates are for security purposes and I need to know if there is a problem or if my system is at risk. Is this update notice a glitch?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if the email text shows when you re-open the Mail app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Instead of doing it's normal thing of showing the box with '1 new message from (name)' it now just plays the tone and shows unread message icon at the top instead of the proper notification, i've tried restoring factory setting but it stays for a few texts then goes away again? =/
I can't find a setting to change it >.>

Hello!I had the same problem...and I deleted all my messages from my inbox, switched phone off/on...then sent a message to myself...that seemed to help.

What is the IP in Settings/Wi-Fi? Tap the arrow on the right of the name of your network. If it is 169... than you are not really connected to the Internet.

Disabled guest account won't stop showing up during start up.

My MacBook Pro started displaying a guest account option (next to my log in) when I start the computer. I disabled the guest account but it still shows it on the start up screen (and allows for anyone to use safari without having to log in -- if I click on the guest account it says that it will restart in a safe mode to allow access to safari). Is this normal ? Thanks

Have a read here OS X 10.7.2 with iCloud showing Guest user account at log-in
To get rid of it, uncheck "Find my Mac" in System Peferences -> iCloud

Mail stopped showing new messages

The Mail program stopped retrieving new emails. It shows my last email came last night, but when I sign into aol.com I have 8 new emails there. Tried closing/rebooting but no luck. Also it's not giving me a password prompt like it sometimes does, so I know it's not a password issue. Any ideas?

Hi, I would like my voice memos to be under music in my ipod so that I can do other things while listening e.g. writing notes. When im connected to itunes it shows that my voice memos are now under music in my ipod but in the ipod itself theyre not there.

How can I have voice memos in music (in ipod)?

You can try syncing them to your computer. Then copy/move to a reular play list and then go to the Get Info for the memo and then to Options and chang the Media kind for Voice Memo to Music or another option depending upon where you want the old memos to go.
