Fireworks CS6 Unstable & Behaves Erratically After Opening Many Images

I use fireworks extensively for processing many images. However, after opening many large images or many more smaller images, Fireworks starts to get unstable and does funny behaviours such us keyboard shortcuts not working, tools buttons disabled even when the object is in focus, unable to select objects, etc.
It clears up only when I restart Fireworks.
Could Adobe look into an update for this stability fix? I would like to avoid restarting Fireworks as it resets the "Untitled" parameter and also forces me to open all the images again.
OS: Win 7 64 Bit
Version: Fireworks CS6

anyone with a solution? It doesn't crash, just behaves weirdly, enough to cause annoyances. Some behaviours I have noticed when it happens
- tools buttons are all disabled even when I have selected an object in the canvas
- Ctrl+Tab does not work anymore

I recently did a fresh install of the OS from online recovery. Mountain Lion was installed which I immediately upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2. The trackpad started behaving erratically after two days. I seems that it started since I plugged one of my wifi router on the lan port. The trackpad is impossible to move as it seems to have a mind of its own. An external mouse connected works fine. Any help please !

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

Consider resetting Bridge Preferences.
Close Bridge
Cmd+Opt+Shift held down, Open Bridge.

After downloading many images, my thumbnails are not coming up cleanly

I'm working on a PowerBook with an external drive for my target storage drive, and I'm finding that, after loading many images, when I click on the thumbnails to see the full size image, the full size image does not come up cleanly. Specifically, I'll see the top of the image clearly, then the bottom two-thirds is simply a block of color (not gray, mind you, but a color that is part of the palate of the image itself). Eventually, it all comes in, but it seems like it might be dragging because of the quantity of images I have stored on the hard drive. I can't seem to figure out why this is going this way.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to correct this? I'm worried that I'm heading for some sort of crash.

A few things I would do first for starters:
1. Format the card in the camera a few time consecutively
2. Verify/Repair Disk on the external drive using Disk Utility
3. Repair Disk Permissions in Safe Mode
4. Keep about a 15-20% headroom on all drives
5. Rebuild the Aperture Library
6. Empty the Trash

Display drivers crashing and restarting after opening any image in Photoshop CS6. After that Photoshop CS6 doesn't respond.

I have just purchased Acer Aspire R7 (2nd Genre). I have installed Photoshop CS6 as trial. Now when I open any image or drag any image in Photoshop I get this error in the taskbar "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". After that Photoshop doesnt respont and I have to force close it from task manager.
Can anyone guide me how to solve this issue?

Well, what more do you need to know? Update your graphics drivers and configure them suitably.

Fireworks cs6 file is locked after making changes

I am continuing to run into problems when editing fireworks files. I am using Fireworks CS6 running on Windows 8.1.
If i open up a previously saved image in any folder to make edits, when I try to save the file (back to the same folder) it does not allow me to because the file is locked. I can however save the file to a different folder. What causes this?
I've tried a few suggestions in the forums and still can't seem to figure out what the issues are. Any help would be appreciated.

Lightroom 5 Edit in CS6 under Yosemite Doesn't Open the Image

I just upgraded to Yosemite. Doing that fixed a bunch or problems but seems to have created a new one. When I right click Edit In, I get the following results:
Edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustments everything works correctly, CS6 opens with the image
Edit a copy of the original, I get a new copy in LR, but no don't transfer into CS6 and if CS6 is already open the image isn't there
Edit Original CS6 opens without the image
Has anyone else had this experience? If so is there a fix?

Trying to solve a similar issue where none of the adjustments made in lightroom are carried forward into photoshop when using the edit in. The dialogue box with the various option as to use the Lightroom adjustments etc is missing. The file just opens up unadjusted in photoshop. Wondered if you had found the solution to your problem. I've gone through all the preferences for file handling, and for catalogue setting. Tried checking various tick boxes or unchecking only to find it makes no difference. Have uninstalled reinstalled several times all to no avail. Sounds similar to your problem in some ways hence why the message.

Fireworks CS6 unstable in Mountain Lion?

I've got the latest versions of ML and FW and don't see any updates for FW. I am seeing increasingly bad behaviors in FW and fear it may be the end of the line for the program as Adobe seems to have abandoned any attempts to fix the program and is dropping it from CC.
Here are behaviors I see happening: It says it fails to save a new document, but it saves it anyway. It says item is open in another doc when it is not. It is still working but it just is showing signs of breaking down.
I rely on FW for web work and it creates much smaller files and crisper ones that Photoshop, plus it batches well for Dreamweaver and the like. I'm wondering if I am the only one experiencing these signs of age and incompatibility...

I just downloaded Mountain Lion and I'm using it with FW CS5.1, and i'm noticing all the same issues, as well as odd behavior with the selction tool not working and requiring triple or more clicks to select tools and shapes.
So dissapointing. I also use FW for a lot of my work-flow. In fact it's my go-to tool for anything that requires a quick graphic mock-up ( I always liked the way teh color-picker picked up colors from outside the workspace without switcing apps) and i rarely use it in the ways it's supposed to integrate with Dreamweaver. Still, I'm using it constantly, most days, and it's a real shame that it's so unstable in Mountain Lion

When after opening many tabs I wanted to leave in FF3 I was asked whether to remember them or not. Is that option in FF4 ?

In FF4 I have only 2 options: cancel or leave FF4.
In FF3 I could save those tabs and when I opened FF3 again I had them all.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

Opening existing animated GIF in Fireworks CS6

When opening existing animated GIF in Fireworks CS6, it always flattens it, opening it in its first frame. All other frames (states) are lost. What am I doing wrong?

That's perplexing. I haven't used Dreamweaver in a while. Even though Fireworks is listed in Preferences as my primary image editor, I'm seeing Photoshop on the Edit button, at least with an animated GIF on the page. If I ctrl-click on the image, I can choose to edit it in Fireworks, in which case it opens normally, with all the states preserved.

After using PS CS6 for well over a year, Bridge now will not open RAW images in Camera Raw, although

After using PS CS6 for well over a year, Bridge now will not open RAW images in Camera Raw, although Photoshop does. When I try to open them in Bridge, I receive a popup message that says that it "requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature." Obviously, I have done so hundreds of times since installing and activating CS6. What gives, and how do I fix it?

Things have now become significantly worse!
Now when I try to open anything from Bridge, or try to open PhotoShop at all, I receive a popup that gives me 2 options: 1) License PS CC, or 2) continue with my trial of PS CC.
So far as I know, I have not downloaded any trial of anything from Adobe in many months. In fact, I have no interest in PS CC. I wish simply to use PS CS6.
I have uninstalled my Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, of which my PS CS is a part, and reinstalled it but I still am blocked from using my properly licensed programs.
Please advise.

After installing Fireworks CS3, IE shows the download dialog instead of opening PNG images

After installing Fireworks CS3, when clicking a link to a PNG
image, IE displays a download dialog instead of opening the image.
I am not sure why Fireworks becomes the default file handlers of
PNG and GIF without asking or notifying the user during
installation, but I think this is the cause.
Does anybody know how to fix the problem?

Fireworks uses a form of .png as its native file format
(which many people find unfortuante) The Fireworks format includes
some additional information, allowed by the specification, so you
want to make sure that, if you want a .png for the Web, you
export from you Fireworks image, not just
save.
In any case you can re-associate the file types. Exactly how
you re-associate file types depends on your OS.
In Vista, right click on a .gif and select 'Properties.'
Under 'Type of file', click on the 'Change'
button and change the associate application. Make sure the
checkbox next to 'Always use the selected program to open this kind
of file' is checked.

Fireworks CS6 not opening files

Hi,
I installed the trial version of CS6 (Mountain Lion) the other day and created some files, the same files opened for me on another computer using CS5 (Mountain Lion) whilst I was waiting for the full version to get installed onto my Mac.
For some reason now the files are either corrupt or not opening (Could not complete your request, an error has occurred or unknown file type).
The only difference between the two installations of CS6 is that I only downloaded the trial version of individual products and now I've installed the whole master suite.
Please help!!

I am able to open files again after restarting Fireworks (Fireworks CS6 on OSX Mountain Lion). Pretty scary bug though, I really don't like the feeling of not being able to open any of my source files--files that have multiple pages worth of work that I would never be able to retrieve with another program.
Where is Adobe in this discussion?? Is Fireworks going to be made more stable?
How I feel about Fireworks right now is not great. I look really unprofessional when people ask me for something and my response is... "Sorry, my files seem to be corrupt let me just take 30 minutes to figure out what's wrong"
