Firfox will not open google calendars

New firefox user here. I can browse, yet, when I try to open my google calendars, firefox will not allow. The redirecting will start repeating itself and the green bar at bottom will start repeating itself. and it stays there until I choose a new website.

Try deleting Google cookies and clear the cache. This will usually fix this type of problem. For details see [[Deleting cookies]] and [[How to clear the cache]]

Installed Adobe dlm add-on and now Firfox will not open. I see the process starting in Task Manager but no window opens. Unistalled Firefox then re-installed but still no luck. HELP ME!

I installed Adobe dlm add-on and now Firefox will not open. I see the process starting in Task Manager but no window opens. Unistalled Firefox then re-installed but still no luck. HELP ME! I do not want to use IE! I presume it has something to do with Adobe DLM as ever since then it is not working.

I had this problem for a couple weeks as well and it was extremely frustrating considering we use firefox for all our company tasks. Here is the solution:
First of all if you have no bookmarks you want to save, then go directly to step 7. If you want to save your bookmarks first, then follow these steps.
1. Shut down the computer
2. Reboot and open firefox
3. Go to Task Manager, right click firefox.exe, and click END PROCESS TREE
4. WAIT 30 SECONDS! Then Double-click the shortcut to try and open firefox again
5.Repeat steps 3 and 4 until firefox finally opens (trust me, eventually it will)
6. Once it finally opens, backup your bookmarks,
7. Download a copy of firefox from there website
8. Uninstall from programs menu and make sure to check the box REMOVE ALL COMPONENTS
9. install the new copy and BOOM! it works
If it doesn't work, you're an idiot. If you don't want to reinstall firefox, then you're out of luck. Good Luck!

Firefos will not open google maps does

after installing google maps toolbar firefox will not load. Icannot get the google toolbar off my screen to open anything else or uninstall it . nor can i get to a restore point. My opening screen is frozen so I cannot get E-mail directions!!

Firefox will not load google calendar, IE will. Error states "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

Using Firefox 3.6.10 with Windows XP. Gmail loads fine but Google Calendar will not. Cookies are accepted without restriction.

After deleting all the cookies, It was possible to load google calendar.

Firefox 3.6.13 will not open Google Docs on MAC OSX 10.6.6. This is extremely irritating. Is this Apples way of persuading us to use Safari?

Another problem is that I can't open web links from '''Tweetdeck'''. Then I get the message:

I can't use Firefox any more if this continues.

I can't even force quit Firefox. I'm running MAC OSX10.4.11. Can't shut down computer without hard turn off on back of MAC. When I turn on again, the same frozen Firefox is on the screen. Can't escape this junk. This has happened so often that I may never use Firefox again IF I CAN EVER QUIT out of it.

Safari will not open google or youtube

Hi all,
I've been visiting this site as a non-member for a while now and I've always been able to find the solution to the few problems that have presented themselves on my mac. Until now. I've a problem loading a few webpages. The two that I've found so far are YouTube ad Google. I'm not concerned about YouTube but I use Google Scholar for university and that is troublesome as I'm about to start study for this year.
So here goes- I'm running an iBook 1.42GHz PowerPC G4 with 1.5GB of DDR SDRAM. I ran a software update one week ago and I'm running OS 10.4.11. Safari version is 3.0.4 and Quicktime is 7.4.
Everything has been running normally since I did the update. Yesterday as part of my regular maintenance I ran a repair disc permissions using disc utility and then checked and repaired the directories using disc warrior. It seems that the problems occurred after I've done this (but I cannot be certain). After noticing the problems I re-ran both the scans which did not find any problems.
I checked both sites using my wife's MacBook and it runs fine (and alot faster than mine). I've also checked both sites on my iBook using Firefox and Explorer 5.2 and neither will load the above mentioned sites.
I have several internet plug-ins which I think may be the source of the problems but I don't know how to approach it. Do I delete them all and see what happens. If I do delete them where do I get the right plug-ins?

Hi Rod,
I know this sounds too low tech, but have you tried powering off/on the modem/router you connect to the internet with? Some people have had similar issues in the past (i.e. one machine works fine, the other doesn't) and sometimes it works. Worth a try at least!

Firefox 4 will not open google chat - it works on Google!

I cannot use Google chat with the latest download of Firefox. Google chat works perfectly when I use the Google browser.

I had this problem as well, but was able to solve it using this procedure:
- Close firefox from the menu (don't use the 'x' as firefox may continue to run in memory for a while)
- in your start menu, enter the following into the "run" prompt: firefox.exe -P
- The firefox profile manager will open (see attached image)
- In my case I deleted the "default" profile because I didn't care about losing any settings. You may want to simply create a new profile instead in case you need to save your settings.
- To avoid being asked about which profile to be used you can highlight your new profile and then make sure the "Don't ask at startup" checkbox. When ready, press the "Start Firefox" button.
- Voila! That fixed it for me. Like I said, I just created a new "default" profile and everyone worked fine for me; use your own judgement here.

Firefox will not open Google Home page at start up

When I start up Firefox browser my Google home page does not appear.

Have you checked to ensure Google is still set as the home page? See [[how to set the home page]] for details.
On the same part of the preferences dialog that you set the home page, make sure the setting "When Firefox starts" is set to "Show my home page".

Safari will not open google or amazon

i have a curious problem!
after purchasing a new belkin router i have problems with opening certain pages such as google or amazon. there are no error messages but the blue progress bar simply stops. the previous belkin router gave no problems at all
my husband is on the same router on another mac using 10.3 in the household and has no problems accessing any pages. have tried using an ethernet cable to see if the problem is with my airport card but still no joy.
my neighbour has a wireless netgear router that shows up and when i move onto theirs i have no problems accessing any pages. does anyone have any thoughts to help? thanks

If you are connecting wirelessly, some have fixed connection problems by putting the 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 DNS Server numbers in the Network System Preferences.

Firefox Will not open a link in a new tab after I right click and then click on open link in new tab

When I right click A bunch of new options pop up and firfox will not open links in new tabs. Safe mode did nothing.

Can you open a new tab by clicking the plus button on the Tab bar?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

Firefox will not open Gmail, or load all the data on the google tab and will not load Outlook lite on a webpage correctly.

In the last couple of days when I start Firefox it will not properly load the Google home page I set up. It will not load the calendar or Date and Time. When I try to open gmail it will not open. I use Internet mail using outlook lite and it does not open properly formatted. All of these problems did not exist until two days ago. I have even gone back and did a system restore 8 days ago to see if that would correct the problem.

Check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If that wasn't the issue, try using OpenDNS.
Use OpenDNS for better speed, more security, prevents the, "can't connect to server" issue, includes anti phishing filters, prevents browser re directs, and it's free.
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
Click +
Enter these addresses exactly as you see them here.

My calendar and contacts will not open on my pc

the calendar and contacts from my ipad were working fine on my pc, now they will not open.

Try force-closing all recently used apps, then reset it again: from the home screen double-tap the home button, tap and hold any app in the list at the bottom until they all start to wiggle, tap next to every app in the list to close them. Then reset your iPad again as you did before. Any change?
