Firm Planned order List out side Planning Time Fence
Dear Gurus
I have the following requirement.I need to get the list of Firmed Planned order list for my plant, which are the out side of Planning Time Fence.I tried by md19 but it did not give me any list like that.Any urgent solution is appreciated .
Regards
Jia
My requirement is planned order list beyond the planning time fence. In PLAF table we have option to give the firming indicator YES/NO .But while giving the date rage I have difficuly. We have several material which are planned in various plannig time fence and there is no fixed date range. There may be one material planned 21/04/08 to 25/04/08.At same time other material may be having 30/04/08 to 5/05/08 .So we cant give any fixed date range to segregate the firmed planned order out side the date range.
You soultion is appreciated

Planned order is creating before planning bucket for a specific material.
Planned order is creating before planning bucket for a specific material.
Eg: Planning Bucket future: 12 months & Start date- 01/02/2012, but Planned order Availability/Requirement date is 12/23/2011.
What causes this, how to fix it? Please suggest u2026
Thanks
RaviSince your planning bucket start date is in the future, so this is normal that the system is trying to satisfy the demand in jan2012 bucket by creating a receipt on Dec23, 2011.
Reasons for RECEIPT to be generated earlier is
(1) There might be a FIRM HORIZON( SNP PROD HOR)
OR
(2) There might be a GR time and the system is considering that time
In Customizing for Advanced Planning and Optimization -> Supply Chain Planning -> Supply Network Planning (SNP) -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Global SNP Settings, in the SNP:GR for Plnd Ords field, you have selected Processing Time.
Blank out these times and see if it works, else do one of the following:
(1) Set Period Factor(LOT SIZE TAB of PRODUCT MASTER) to 1, so that the receipts get created at the end of the bucket.
OR
(2) Create your demand at the end of the planning bucket period

Unable to convert SNP planned order to PP/DS planned order in RRP3
Hi,
This is an in-house production scenario. SNP planned order are created based on forecast, now i want to convert those SNP planned orders to PP/DS planned orders in product view. While converting i am getting the following error message.
Conversion canceled with error
Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP707
I have checked the SNP, PP/DS PDS, it looks good.
Regards,
LVHi Lingaiah,
Conversion SNP -> PP/DS SAP002 is scheduling heuristic
Heuristic for Conversion SNP->PP/DS as SAP_SNP_SNGL used for order conversion.

Handling Planned order created from Demand planning and Sales order in MTO
Hi all
In MTO\ Repetitive we genrate Dependent requirement from demand planning (PIR) after running MRP which finally planned order created but on the other hand in short term we have Sales order which generate planned order after running MRP(In MTO), How we should handle planned order generated from Demand planning and the ones generated from sales order.(both after MRP Running).
Regards
Babak BolourchiDear,
You can combine the planning strategy also main as 56 and second as 65 and in demand managment MD61 you have the option select requirement type.
Then while creating sales order use MTO strategy and take MRP run through MD50 and then MD02.
and if you want to assign the stock to sales order then you and do it through MB1b with 412 E movement type.
As per my knowledge, generally 56 strategy only takes Sales Order Stock into consideration.
Consider setting the Individual/Collective indicator to 2.
Mark those characteristics that should have a usage probability in demand management as Relevant for planning.
Hope clear to you.

Difference between snp planned order and pp/ds planned order
Hi to all,
can any one please explain the difference between snp planned order and pp/ds planned order. I am relatively new to this areaThe primary differences are as below.
1. The master data for SNP Planned Order is SNP PPM/PDS where the minimum duration for an operation is a day. So it is used for rough cut capacity planning.
The master data for PPDS Planned Order is a PPDS PPM/PDS where operations are down to minute and second level. Moreover sequence dependent operation planning is possible in PPDS Planned Orders. It is for detailed capacity planning.
2. SNP Planned Orders are created in SNP while PPDS Planned Orders are created in PPDS or when transferred from ERP to APO.
3. SNP Planned Order need to be converted to a PPDS Planned Order before it can be used in the Execution System (ERP) for further processing - like conversion to Production Order. Moreover the category types of the orders are different in APO (EE for SNP and AI for PPDS).
Hope this helps.

When I create a Planned order using PDS, the Setup time is coming as 0.
We have been using PPMs for a long time, and now we are trying to migrate to PDS.
We are currently in SCM 7.0.
I successfully created the PDS in APO (using CIF from R/3). In the PDS (in APO), for a particular activity, I see the activity type is "S", and the Activity Duratiion (Fixed) is 43,200 Seconds.
However, when I create a planned order using this PDS, the activity time is zero (End time = Start Time).
When we use the PPM the setup time comes correctly.
Any help will be appreciated..Senthil,
Thanks for your views.
I have checked all that you have suggested, and it is okay. The issue still persists.
One thing that I noticed was that it is working fine in the old SCM 5.0 environment - the setup time is coming correctly in the planned order.
However, we have this issue in the new SCM 7.0 environment. Is there something that is different in SCM 7.0 in terms order explosion ?

What are the ways to Copy Firm Planned Order from one ASCP Plan to another?
We run two EDD Plans with very similar options, but with different plan horizons.
To have the suggestions synchronized, we need to copy the "Firm Planned Orders" from one plan to another.
We tried inserting the records in MSC_ST_SUPPLIES with Order type 5 and firm planned type 1 with appropriate plan id, but Planning ODS Load is not considering those inserted records.
We don't want to insert directly into MSC_SUPPLIES.
Any inputs is appreciated.
Thanks
SundarYou can also call a custom DTSX package in SSIS via the datamanager.
there are at least 5 ways of transfering data in BPC between apps.
1. Through the front end (excel etc) via evdre/evsnds
2. Through Script logic using *Dest App
3. Using BPC's standard export dtsx package via DM
4. Using SSIS using BPC's custom SSIS tasks
5. Through Script logic using stored procs.
i am sure people will come up with more.
remember if you use ssis and move data into any table but the wb, you need to process the cube afterwards. -
MRP Planned order finish Date calculation (Planned delivery + GR Proc.time)
Dear Gurus,
Currently in our system, when MRP runs, Planned orders are created and the order finish date is calculate based on Purchasing processing time OMEW + Planned Delivery time from Material Master + GR processing time from material Master.
My business requirement is that, system has to take only Planned Delivery time + GR Processing time and exculde Purchasing PRocessing time.
I cant make it Purchasing Processing time as ZERO - because this is used for other Purchase orders and KPI will be affected for procurement department
Now we are going to Automate the Purchase orders for Materials - if outline agreement exist.
How to make system settings for a MRP run, the Planned order finish date - should consider only Planned delivery time from Material master + GR Processing Time ( it should exculed Purchasing PRocessing time). Is it posssible? if not by any user exit, ABAP coding should be done?
gurus please advice!
BADI : MD_PLDORD_CHANGE - is this can be used?
Please advice

I can't see planned order in Long Term Planning Stock/requirements list.
Hi
I am trying to use Long Term Planning in SAP.
I created scenario dates from 01.03.2011 to 03.09.2011. Between those dates i entered planned independent requirements as 300.
When i went to Long Term Planning Stock/requirements list, i can see all planned independent requirements but i run Multilevel single-item planning and then when i went to Long Term Planning Stock/requirements list again, i couldnt see planned order for planned independent requirements.
So what is the problem? Can anyone help me please?
Thank you.HI
check the planning scenario in MS31 and the PIR assignment in MS31 also check the plant assignement.
Check In MD61 you have enter PIRs in simulation version and the same version is to assigned in planning scenario
Also check T code OPU5 for LTP setting for planned orders

Planned order splitting during capacity planning
Hello,
anybody plese help me during the capacity planning in T.code.CM31 i want to split a planned order and want to assign alternative sequence. how can i do this and the capacity should be reschedule automatically to my requirement date. i am using backward scheduling.
plese suggest immediately
Thanks and reagards
BhaktaDear Bhakta
MRP does not perfom any Capacity Requirement Planning .While you are executing MRP with Lead Time Scheduling , MRP proposes Planned Order Dates based on the Routing Operation Timing not based on the Work Centre available Capacity because in SAP Std R/3 we did not have scope to check the finite scheduling and capacity requirement chek .MRP assume that Work Centre has infinite available capacity .
In MRP run , it will give you Detail scheduling of the Operation in Planned Order -Detail Scheduling tab and copied the routing , BOM as master data .When you convert that Planned order to Production order , it will copy the Routing details based on the Order Type denpendt Parameters -OPL8-Routing -Alternative sequnce and Automatic selection -3 option
Thats why we have Capacity Requirement Planning for Detail Capcity check and production order scheduling .
Note : Earlier to my first reply , please note that you have option in CM21 enter sequence number at order level which may applicable to you .CM21-Work Centre -exectute -Select the Order from order pool -Goto Order -Sequence number maintainence
This number( sequence number operation /order ) that can be assigned to production orders or planned orders at the level of the task list header and is therefore valid for all the operations in an order.
Hope this is clear .Revert if you nees farther help

Hello everybody
I want to make a different, in MD04, between the planned order for stock and the planned order created for a customer requirement
Thank for your helpHi,
True planned order are generated for both the cases but the planned order generated for sales order will have sales order number in the below column and for stock will show independent requirement. Mainly no sales order reference will be there for make to stock scenario.
Hope it will help.

Manual creation of PPDS Planned Orders by start date and time
Hi,
When an order is manually created in any ppds standard transaction the start date is calculated according to the availability date entered, the order quantity and the master data
Is it possible to manually create an order based on the start date and then the availability date is calculated according to the order quantity and master data?
Thanks
CTFCTF,
You can 'forward schedule' manually created orders.
Scheduling direction is dependent on the Strategy profile. During order creation, you can change this.
When on the order create screen (/sapapo/rrp5), select the strategy button at the top. This will bring up the default strategy for your userid. You can alter the "planning direction" to be 'forward' or 'forward & reverse' depending on your business requirements. Selecting Save will then make this scheduling strategy your default; otherwise just hit green checkbox.
Now the order entry screen will have 'start date' entry box. Avail date will then be calculated.

what is the application of firming planned order with out making any changing in the planning time fence in material master
John.Dear John,
Firmed procurement proposals are no longer changed by the planning run(MRP run). They can only be changed manually.
You can firm all types of procurement proposals:
planned orders
purchase requisitions
Delivery schedules (schedule lines).
The system flags firmed procurement proposals with a star in the stock/requirements list and the MRP list.
Features
Firming by Manual Changes
Procurement proposals that have been created or changed manually are given a firming indicator automatically by the system. You can cancel the firming by deleting the firming indicator at any time. You can also set the firming indicator manually, without changing the procurement proposal.
Firming with the Planning Time Fence
Order proposals that lie within a defined planning time fence are firmed for the planning run if they are set to an MRP type with the appropriate firming type. The firming indicator is not set and they are only firm as long as they lie within the planning time fence.
For schedule lines in the planning time fence, you can firm only the quantities that have already been transferred and not the current quantities. Transferred schedule lines are schedule lines that have been sent to the vendor by telecommunications and have been confirmed.
Firming with the Manual Firming Date
The manual firming date lengthens, if necessary, the planning time fence up to the date entered. This has the advantage over the planning time fence that you can firm procurement proposals for materials with an MRP type that contains no firming type.

After firming planned order, new planned order is generating in MRP run
Hi Experts,
I am using SAP AFS. Planning strategy is 21- MTO with Project settlement. MRP type is PD. Lte size is EX. Procurement type is X.
We are using the production versions. Individual / collective reqmts is 1. Planning time fence is not maintained.
In sap AFS T.Code for MRP run is /n/afs/md02. After receiving the Sales order, MD04 screen gets updated accordingly and I am running the MRP.Planned orders are generated accordingly. I am firming the planned order manually through MD04. The satr mark is also appearing.
My problem starts now. If I am running the MRP again for the same requirements another planned order of the same qty. is getting generated. That means after the second MRP run, I am having two planned orders (one firmed plnd order) and second is the new planned order. My requirement is that MRP should not generate any new Plnd. order / PR's if there is no new Sales order.
The parameters for MRP run are "1" for "Create PR's", '1" for "Plng Mode" and '"1" for "scheduling ".
I have tried in all the possible ways, but of no use. Still new plnd order is generated after firming the 1st plnd. order in MRP run. Thanks all for your feedback..
@ Vishal
1. Yes, Both Old firmed planned order and newly generated planned order have the same grid value
2. For both the planned orders :
Special Stock is E u2013 Orders on hand,
Consumption is V,
Sales order is the same (As we are using MTO , Strategy 21) and same WBS element.
3. First planned order is not in the assigned tab of MD04. This means that has been allocated to some object. u2013 I didu2019nt got this point. Can u please elaborate?
@ Nikhil
1. Quantity of sales order is not reducing after firming the sales order
2. Account assignment category for both the planned orders is u201CZu201D - Indiv.cust./project
I have made some more observations and found the following differences between the two planned orders
From MD04 , keep the cursor on corresponding planned order
& click on upward arrow ( available on bottom side of the report).
It will show what will be the originating requirements i e. for which requirements this planned order generated.
For Firmed planned order it is taking me to screen u201CPegged Requirements
u201D*And the following data is present:
Planned dates: 04.07.2010
MRP element No. 3100001185 (Sales Order No.)

Scheduling No. is 1

For new planned order generated, I am going to Screen *u201CProcurement without Requirementsu201D
