    Have you tried reloading the firmware again? If the firmware in the N200 is corrupted then the loader might still be able to connect to it and be able to load the firmware again, even when you can't normally connect to it or switch it on.
    If you can't reload it then you'll probably have to contact Creative and arrange for it to be repaired / replaced.

    Be aware that you do not need to purchase SmartNET for your APs.

    Be aware that nearly all 802.11n APs (some exclusion to AP1250) are covered under the new Cisco Limited Lifetime Warranty.  Read through the link provided.  This is why I posted that you do not need maintenance contract for the APs.  The main thing to understand is that if you need to RMA your AP, it'll take 10-business days for the replacement part to be sent.
    I have spoken to some Cisco Authorized Reseller and some Cisco TAC engineers who insist that the Cisco LLW don't exist or doesn't apply to BLAH model.  Don't be fooled.

    Make sure you are updating your phone the correct way, by connecting to iTunes and clicking Check for Updates on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings.  Do not try to download the firmware file from the internet first.  Also be sure iTunes is up to date before updating.
    Delete the existing firmware (.ipsw) file and try again.  You will find it at one of the following locations:
    Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
    Windows XP: %AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
    Windows Vista: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
    Windows 7: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

    the whine startet in my machine after the SMC firmeware update today. Before that, my MacBook was really quiet. Anyone had that experience, too? I want to call Apple thats why i ask...

    MacBook (I usually do anyway) or 2) Ignore the sound,

    yeah, the whine is a voltage issue. nothing serious. Most desktops have this issue and it doesn't damage anything. I have an old P3 that once you open it up, stop the fans, and listen you can hear a whine. Though it's not limited to CPUs - my mom's PDA has a high pitch whine. She can't hear it because she's old. Anyway, TV's produce this sound too.
    I don't find it too distracting and most other people can't hear it.

  • Wrt610n wireless network does not work after firmeware upgrade

    Hi
    I just updated my Wrt610n hardware version 1 to the newest firmware, it did finish with sucess, I did factory reset reboot and reconfig. But the wireless network does not work , cant connect computers to it. Did downgrade the firmware to the same it was and restore my settings but still wireless does not work. But router works fine with lan.  Any suggestions? maybe the firmware tosted the router?

    Update -
    After last reset and reupgrade with the newest firmware for hardware version 1 I could config the router and connect 2 computers with wireless - but only for about 15 mín - then they lost connection and could not reconnect.
    I did then get the newest update for hardeware version 2 - just to try and upgraded with that and got success, and now I have reset the router again and config it and those 2 computers are connected and have been for 1 hour now. So seems to be working - is it okay to have the firmware for hardware version 2 on my version 1 router?
    Any thought what is going on - could it be that the other firmware had not loaded compleytle or?

  • Lost 1 of 3 UCS chassin when upgrade firmeware on Cisco Interconter 6120XP

    We have the following system \ environment, two redundantly connected Cisco 6120XP interconectorer linked to three Cisco UCS 5108x chassis with 13st cisco blade servers configured.
    As information, I can say that we have NetApp FAS3240 storage and no Nexsus switches. We have vmware virtualization platform.
    This is what happened.
    We'd upgrade UCS Manager from version 1.4 directly to 2.03 (c).
    At the time we had done a failover from the primary to the secondary interconector. We ran at that this time all network traffic through one I / O module on each chassis. When we pressed the upgrade on the primary interconecter so suddenly chassis number two reboot and we lose about 40 servers. VMWare has taken them down neatly but we lost it unfortunately. Now the question is why did this happen?

    Please confirm the sequence of events
    1)  You initially upgraded secondary FI and when you activated it,  secondary FI  along with IOMs attached to it  came up successfully with upgraded version. Is this correct ?
    2) Then you made upgraded ( secondary ) FI as primary by issuing " cluster lead " command from operating primary.
    3) Initiated upgrade on old primary. Then activated new version.
    Now servers lost connectivity.
    Is my understanding correct ?
    Few questions
    1)  Did all servers lose connectivity  ( if you have multiple chassis ) ?
    2)  If not, do you know list of servers that lost the connectivity ?
    3)  Both LAN & SAN or only LAN or only SAN connectivity ?
    4)  Did you make any changes to resolve the issue ? If not, how did the connectivity got restored ?
    I would suggest to you open a TAC SR with above information and UCSM and corresponding chassis tech support bundle.
    Please include approx date / time of the event.

    Hey fi've-string,?I also emailed Creative's technical support team hoping to get some help with this problem. I received a response from them saying that because it is over a year old it is no longer under warranty. They basically told me I could request an RMA for an out of warranty servicing. The email continued to say that a replacement cost would be $88 and a refurbished player would be $50. However, they made no mention of actually attempting to fix the problem on my current player. I am more than a little peeved about that.. I have to say that the lack of a technical support phone number is really annoying. And the fact that the technical support team suggested i purchase a new or refurbished player is unacceptable in my opinion. There is obviously a serious hardware/design flaw with the player that they are not willing to admit or own up to. There is no way a player like this should break down in .5 years of normal use (has not been dropped, thrown, damaged, etc.). I would not be happy with the response you got either...$25 just to take a look. And I am going to bet that they will tell you it will cost $85 to fix it (with no guarentee on how long it will work for) or you can purchase a new or refurbished one for $90 or $50 respecti'vely. So basically you are just better off purchasing a new one.... Considering taking my business to iPod (Apple) after this type of problem resolution....will keep ya posted when I receive another response from them... Mike

    I just bought the nokia 6220 classic, and installed software for the pc (win xp nokia pc suite 7.1 the latest) and there was option to update phone software so I did it. I followed the instructions and everything... and last screen showed an error but the phone continued to blink, and i didn't tuch anything it finished and there was the new software 04.13
    everything works fine but i have some new things like share online and one really anoying thing:
    on the top right corner just before you see the key icon when the keypad is locked, there is icon of envelope or message which continously blinkinking. there is no new sms or mails on my phone but i don't know how to get rid of this.
    Anyway i rerun the software update but still the same, can you please help me fix this.

    forgot to add that during first update there was download in progres something big as 154MB.
    anyway.. after the phone booted up with new software i uninstalled nokia pc suite and everything, rebooted my pc... install it again and run the update again.. this time also the 154MB progress bar appeard to download it finished, and update was successfull with no error messeges, and the phone is working fine, everything is ok except that blinking envelope icon on top right corner.

    Have been?e-mailing Creative support team over last few days to let them know my Zen Sleek has packed up, only had it for 3 months, month past warranty,? followed all steps to update firmware but just reads HARD DISK PROBLEM. Creative said out of warranty, need to pay 78.83 then another customer?support person?e-mails and ?says to repair will cost 82.83. How can they?quote to different prices for same service?On this forum i have read about so many problems with these players. I also went onto Amazon.co.uk and there was loads?of more unhappy buyers. I have asked for a name or number for the?complaints department or MD that I can write to with my frustration of owning such a poor product but no one at Support has advised me what I can do next, other than pay the fee above. I think all faulty products should be exchanged, if this is a common fault with this product then they should find a solution not make you follow a load of steps that takes you nowhere.   • Restoring Firmeware

    Can anybody help me find the Firmware to restore it on a Power Mac G4 AGP Graphics. I need to downgrade from Leopard 10.5.4 to Panther 10.3. I cannot find it anywhere. I need to do that because the computer is not reading the Panther install disk, only reads the Leopard disk.

    You cannot "downgrade firmware." If you cannot read your Panther installer disc it would not be due to any firmware upgrade you have done. You may have a bad or dirty disc or a problem with your optical drive. If you need to downgrade from Leopard to Panther the best way is to first backup your files to an external drive, then erase the hard drive and install Panther using the Erase and Install option.
    Optionally you can try doing an Archive and Install, but moving from Leopard to Panther this way could prove problematic:
    How to Perform an Archive and Install
    An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
    Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
    Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

    My creative Zen vision m 30g had started playing up, songs were being played super fast, or not being played at all, it would also go to FM radio randomly. The first step I took was to format the player and put my music back on, but the problem persisted. I then decided to do a clean up, but again the problem still persisted. I finally decided to reload the firmware, I first downloaded from the site, but when it had got to the final stages it took me to connect my player, but my player was actually connected!
    I then downloaded the Creative MP3 player recovery tool, it detected that I had a creative vision Zen me but it told me in the final stages again that my player wasn't connected. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
