Firmware 1.1.1 size?

There's about a half gb discrepancy between the total size of my iTunes library and what iTunes says is "Used" on my iPod. Could this mean that the firmware is a half gb? Or why else would my iPod used space be a half gb more than my actual library? (I don't have photos & I don't use it as a hard drive.)

Library = 30.35 gb. iPod = 30.8 gb (capacity [55.6] - available [24.8]). iPod (30.8 gb) - Library (30.35) = 0.45 gb. But I don't know where it went?

  • ITunes Burning Error 4200 - Windows XP

I recently purchased an HPa1130n running iTunes 4.9. It was working fine up until a week ago when I started getting errors that say "cancelling burn... unknown error 4200". I have read a few posts in this forum and would like for someone to help me get my system back up and burning. I've done the obvious (slowing the speed, trying different disks, etc). I've also checked my DMA settings to ensure that they are correct. From what I have read so far, I think iTunes is having trouble communicating with my CD Burner.
Help me obi-wan-kenobi.. you're my only hope...

    (2) New software added
I recently installed NERO then updated to 6.6 trial. I suspect that this has something to do with it as the last time i burned a CD sucessfully was a day before I installed/updated NERO.
    (3) I tried to alternatively burn in windows media player and was also unsucessful.
    (4) I see a ton of 7 or 8 events ranging from 100, 101, 102, 103 that are related to database engines but nothing related to iTunes. I see two ACEEventLogs from today:
0000000001: 2005-09-03 12:40:07:203 Systemtray cannot start - ACE Runtime not detected
    Error Called by: ATI.ACE.CLI.EXE.CLI::Main processID:00348 threadID:(CLISystemtray ) domainName:(CLI.exe ) assemblyName:(CLI, Version=1.2.2006.283, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e)
    (5) It just got worse. I attempted to burn another disk and now I don't even get the error. When prompted to insert a blank disk and after clicking the burn icon, the top grey screen just blinks "checking media" a bunch of times then it times out. I don't even get to the "preparing to write" stage.
    Thanks again!

  • Large number of Transport errors on ZFS pool

This is sort of a continuation of thread:
    Issues with HBA and ZFS
But since it is a separate question thought I'd start a new thread.
Because of a bug in 11.1, I had to downgrade to 10_U11. Using an LSI 9207-8i HBA (SAS2308 chipset). I have no errors on my pools but i consistently see errors when trying to read from the disks. They are always Retryable or Reset. All in all the system functions but as I started testing I am seeing a lot of errors in IOSTAT.

I know all of these drives are not bad and I have confirmed they are all running the latest firmware and correct sector size, 512 (ashift 9). I am thinking it is some sort of compatibility with this new HBA but have no way of verifying. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Edited by: 991704 on Mar 12, 2013 12:45 PM

There must be something small I am missing. We have another system configured nearly the same (same server and HBA, different drives) and it functions. I've gone through the recommended storage practices guide. The only item I have not been able to verify is
"Confirm that your controller honors cache flush commands so that you know your data is safely written, which is important before changing the pool's devices or splitting a mirrored storage pool. This is generally not a problem on Oracle/Sun hardware, but it is good practice to confirm that your hardware's cache flushing setting is enabled."
How can I confirm this? As far as I know these HBAs are simply HBAs. No battery backup. No on-board memory. The 9207 doesn't even offer RAID.

I got a problem while start up my laptop Studio 1555 and after run a test from DELL Support Center recomend me to buy Iolo System Mechanic and run a test. After perform the test found a lot of problems and aparently fixed, but still a problem on a hard disk remained. Ammong the options to solve the problem were update the firmware, but my warranty already expired. What should I do? Do I need to buy a new HDD? Can I just update the firmware? How?

Having the same issue with a WD50000BEVT 500GB drive from 2012 I am preforming a Low Level Format on the drive at this time. The odd thing is with the reported sector count, 1% formatted showed at half the sectors that it should have. At the slow rate of this format it may take a week however it may just reset the drive to be usable again. I am using the free program from HDDGURU.com The paid version it faster however I have time and leave my PC on anyway. I will update to let you know it this did the trick.
There are also free programs that wipe the S.M.A.R.T. errors and drive with embed that also could be a issue. I am cheap and won't give up until the computer does not show the drive at all.

  • We want "screen lock" and "world clock"

Come on Apple, lets have the new firmware for our full size colour pods. The screen lock is what the iPods have needed from day one. I was always a bit scared of having phones numbers and addresses in it in case it got stolen.
Please, please, please do the features for us. you know it make sense

I cannot agree with your comments that apple always listen to users suggestions.
For the past three months on this forum people have been asking for a fix to the problem caused by the update released in June this year that stopped your iPod from updating your ratings on the fly. Before you could change a track from say three stars to five and it would move to that Smart playlist automatically without having to be connected to your compute or iTunes.
Now it only works if you are connected to ITunes which of no blooming use at all if you are away on holiday etc.
No, they could have easily rectified or looked into, but instead they stayed silent, and completely bypassed the problem.
I wont by another product from Apple if thats how they treat you. After all, apple made quite a big thing about that feature originally, thats partly why I bought the Ipod over another make, not for its looks.

  • Nokia N70-1 Music Edition - Phone Memory

After update the Phone software (firmware), My phone memory sizes show as free memory 18MB and used 524KB. Before that it shows 32MB free memory.
Kindly some body help to update me the Nokia N70 Music edition (Nokia N70-1) model Shared memory size (Phone Memory) and how to rectify the problem also?

    Hi ruben213
I don't know which firmware your N70-ME is using at the moment, key in in *#0000# on standby screen. Bear in mind that Nokia Software Updater just reads the "7 digit product code" found on label under battery to determine which software pack to offer, and you the end user has no say in this matter unfortunately. Also if phone was acquired pre-owned than the product code of the device may not necessarily be that shown on label for reasons which can not be elaborated on this manufacturer's sponsored forum.
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

  • E4200 - USB Storage limit of 2TB

Does anyone know if Linksys will be increasing the size limitation of the E4200 USB storage devices?
Will the next firmware allow larger drive sizes?
I only bought the thing to share via the router my digital content that is stored on an 8TB external device.
What is the perpose to the limit in the first place?  Is this a hardware or software limitation of the device?
Any answers would be appreciated.  I love the router, I just hate limitations...go figure.
    Thanks.

What is the firmware version on the router? As there is a new release of the firmware which adds the supports of 3TB Hard drive with NTFS and HFS+ format.
As well as here is the list of tested USB storage devices for the Linksys E4200

      Hi all,
Could anyone please help to provide procedure to change firmware from HPG8 to SN06 of Hdd ST31000340NS (Part number:9CA158-784). My controller LSI 3ware 9650SE support SN06 firmware.I am facing raid degraded issue.
Is it recommaded by HP to change firmware if we have any HDD failure.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hello Xenpus,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand the computer has a RAID degrading issue. I think that updating the BIOS is a good starting place. But based on what you told me, it seems like there is a hardware issue. If you cannot fix it, I would contact HP phone support for hardware assistance. You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: Contact HP Worldwide
