Firmware for Create Zen 20gb DAP-HD0

Hi there,
I got a new Zen (DAP-HD005) 20gb player off Amazon and its great however when I use the autoupdate tool on the web it doesn't detect te device only my N200 ! Also when I look in support for updates for the device or associated software it isn't in the list under the Zen selection ! Any idea's folks ?

The Zen 20GB firmware is available on the Singapore version of the website. Use the Region / Country selector at the top of the page - don't worry, it's in English!
It also works if you type the model number into the Search box on the Download page (Support, Downloads) - use HD005 not DAP-HD005 though.

Hello,
I bought some months ago by Ebay the .
I happy with this product.
I want now to use ZENcast Organizer.
I installed It and it doesn't recognise the player.

It is written that the ZENcast Organizer Requires an upgrade to PlaysForSure? Firmware.
I didn't find it for my model.
Can you please help.

Zen 20Gb (DAP-HD005) is only one or two year old and already it can't benefit of new features or upgrade ...
My understanding now is that in fine, I won't be able to use ZENcast Organizer.
I am really disappointed.

Where is the Firmware for the Zen Sleek Ph

Hi,
I've been having problems with my Zen Sleek Photo ever since I bought it 2 months ago. Every so often it would freeze on boot-up, so I would have to reset it with a pin to get it to start up. This morning it started going really haywire so I decided to reload the firmware - of course, my disks are at home and when I looked on the creative site here at work, there was no sign of any firmware for the Zen Sleek Photo (it's almost like Creative don't realise this product exists!). Anyway, where can I download the latest firmware?

I think Creative should add the Sleek Photo to the player list in downloads and add the latest version there (I have version .0.0e). I ordered my player in December (for Christmas). There are a few issues that I have addressed in my "A few annoyances with Zen Sleek Photo 20GB (Request)" thread.
Sadly there has not yet been an update to fix the artist listings etc. as mentioned in my thread
I got in contact with another Creative Zen Sleek Photo user who also li'ves in Switzerland and has the same problems (tracks not been sorted correctly even with correct ID3 tags, which work in many many Windows applications).
By the way, sadly the Sleek Photo gets a load of dust under the screen too, unless you are very careful. I have been unable to remove most of the dust even using compressed air! I would rather not have to get it replaced because of this (unless Creative makes a slightly new casing model to prevent dust under screen) as I would probably end up paying rather a lot for postage (it's going indirectly through another company)
I hope there shall soon be a firmware update addressing these things,

Hi,was wondering if anyone can help me,my mp3 zen 20gb?player after few years of use now starts up and says firmware problem after trying to rebuild library, i have got it into recovery mode,and downloaded the firmware from asia creative website, however when try to start the application, it asks what language,i have chose like 4 different languages,but everytime,nothing happens after click language,just goes off and back to desktop, when click alt cntrl delete,says program not responding,and i have to reset PC. Does anyone know where can get orignal firmware,or the new firmware that actually works for zen 20gb?cheers for help

Petition - Zen 20Gb (DAP-HD00

I have recently upgraded my music player from a zen micro to a Zen 20Gb and I am surprised to find that it is a step backward in terms of firmware.
The zen micro went to deep sleep mode after 4 hours. However this player is still using the old setting of 24 hours before going into deep sleep mode.
This adversely affects battery life.
So I have decided to ask creative to change this setting in the future.

Are they getting any closer to releasing a new firmware for the Zen Tou

I mean so I wouldn't have to use stupid Mediasource to transfer music, and could just plug my Z. T. into any computer and transfer music. It seems to me that some bright consumer could write a program to do this, or is it impossible for this to happen for some reason?

I think its pretty bad that a company that made over $375 million in Q2 and reported sales of over 2 million mp3 players is putting such little investement into providing updates for existing (still on sale) products, mainly the Zen Touch and Zen Extras... They seem to think that only Zen micro users deserve Firmware updates despite the fact that a large number of us have bought and continue to buy other existing creative models! Surely with such high profit and demand they must be able to put more resources into updates for their players (mainly Firmware), or at worst give us a serious time frame as when to expect the updates (if i had known how long i would be waiting i might not have bought my Zen Touch in favour of a differnet player). I have always looked upon Creative as a very trustworthy company that deli'very high quality and high spec products. I never for a moment thought that the updates would be so few and far between! Where can I find older firmware for my Zen Micro? (Also, firmware install troubl

I recently got a Zen Micro for free. It had several problems, most of which I've fixed, or can not fix until I solve this one:
Every time I start up, it gives me an "Overheating, Shutting Down" error. It's not overheating (I drenched the circuitry in circuit-freezer), and the one thermostat chip I could find is working normally. Any clue where others are? CPU, perhaps? (The problem does not occur when hooked up to the USB)
I read something about firmwares .02 and later having an overheat shut-down program integrated into them. So before I give up on this thing, I would like to try firmware .0 or lower.
Of course, the Zen being out for 4+ years, such old firmware is hard to find.
You guys, being Creative people, should know where I could find some. If any of you have any on your computer, could you send it to me?
Also, I tried to install firmware .02.05, but when I load it, the program gives me an error telling me to update my jukebox drivers to the latest version, of which they are. The latest . and P4S firmwares load fine onto the Zen. Help?

MTP is microsoft's media transfer protocol. Essentially, your micro can now connect to WinXP SP2 computers with WMP0 without loading Creative drivers.
The new firmware you installed allows you to drag and drop files to your micro using windows explorer. In order to use any of Creative's software, you'll need to download and install updated versions from their website.

Updating firmware for the zen x

i got an error on my player saying "firmware problem". so i went about removing the firmware from my player and updating it. i downloaded the file, proceeded to update and it seems like it goes ok. my player resets itself like the support page here says, once past the splash screen it still says firmware problem. is my player done for or are there older versions of the firmware i can try?

Where to Find the Firmware for Creative Zen

Hi I am having firmware problem in my Creative Zen 20g (The larger version of Zen Micro).
I tried resetting the player and the Firmware Problem always appear.
Can anyone send me the link where could i download this firmware?
I tried searching it on the web and found no luck.

If support have a firmware they might be able to send it to you. But often in these situations they want the player returned. It's a shame that the base firmware isn't available for download.

I wanted to download some music from napster and to play it on my player it told me I needed a firmware upgrade. I knew from buying my player that I probably would need to upgrade so I did. Once I installed the upgrade, and plugged my zen micro in and now it will only let me use windows media player? to transfer my music to my player. I hate this software as it doesn't work brilliantly, I was really happy with the creative software, but now when I plug in my micro and open the creative software it won't recognise it. I've tried reinstalling the creative software but its made no difference. Also, a box keeps coming up with something called MTP what is this? Can anyone help me with this problem? I would really appreciate it!

Cannot update firmware for my ZEN MicroPhoto in Vista or XP

Windows Vista detects my player, but the firmware update program will not detect my ZEN MicroPhoto. I have no firmware on my player and it is stuck in recovery mode... Please help!?:mansad:
