Firmware for HP OfficeJet 4620 corrupted on support Website?

Firmware for HP OfficeJet 4620 seems to be corrupt on the HP Support website... Unable to run - getting error message:
"OJ4620_R1404A.exe is not a valid Win32 Application"
Where else can I get this file?

Hi GTC_IT_TECH,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that your having trouble installing the firmware update.
What version of Windows are you using? Which Windows operating system am I running?
In the meantime, I suggest trying this method to install the firmware. Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates.
Hope this helps, and have a good day.

Most office jet printers are not very smart, so you may have to run a setup program (included in the download) to "discover" the printer.

  • Where can I get a replacement output tray flap for an Officejet 4620

Because of how my work area is set up, I've bumped the little plastic flap on the extendable tray for printed pages on the 4620.  (The little plastic pivot point on one side broke off.)  I fabricated a workaround using a soldering iron and later a straight pin, but it's not working the way I'd like.
Is it possible to buy a replacement part for this model?  If so, where and how.

Hello there, Welcome to the Forums! I hope you enjoy your experience
I read your post about your question about replacing a part that had broke. I would suggest calling into HP and inquiring with them to see if the part is available.
    Here is their contact info:
If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.
I hope this information helped you!

  • Time Capsule and AirPort Base Station (802.11n) Firmware 7.3.2 and the Apple support website link isn't working.  Does anyone have it?

    Hi,
I have a Win7 Premium and a Time Capsule bought around 2009.  I'm using airport utility 5.5.3 and the TC has the 7.6.1 firmware.  I can both wirelessly and using the ethernet cabl connect to the network but not to the hard drive (I get the netbios error lthough netbios is enabled).  I have pretty much tried ALL the solutions that have worked for many people... too many to mention... the only thing that many people have claimed worked for the (albeit the posts are a bit old) is to revert to the 7.3.2 firmware which I cannot find.
http://www.apple.com/support/?artnum=305301 brings me to the default support page for apple products, so no joy there.  this is causing my hair to go prematurely gray.
I am willing to try almost any solution you guys may suggest, but in addition: does anyone know where the 7.3.2 firmware can be found?
I don't need a book corner as I read most books in e-format...
    thanks in advance.

    Model# A1302
When I do the "firmware update" I have no options except:
    other
as a former IT, I have exhausted all options I think except for rolling back the firmware.
The apple site isn't down but the page: http://www.apple.com/support/?artnum=305301
which has the link for the 7.3.2 firmware takes me to the default support page.
On another note (for anyone who has run into this problem and recognizes the symptom), when I submit the password on the apple popup that says "network disc detected, enter password" the pop up pauses for a good minute (not responding) before the #53 error with the netbios comes on.  I have also turned off the McAfee firewall and tested it... no joy.
Thanks for your help in advance

  • Satellite A210 - can't write DVD-DL - need firmware for LG GSA-T20N

I have problem with my DVD drive... I can't write DVD-DL discs (DVD+DL too).
I'm looking for a firmware for my drive.
On Toshiba Support I can find only firmware for Pioneer and Toshiba (TSSTCorp) drives.
Lg says that Toshiba should have newest firmware.

    Hi
I checked the Toshiba European driver page and found tree different firmware updates for TS-L632H, TS-L632 and TS-L632P but there is no update for LG GSA-T20N.
If you are not able to burn the data on some double layer disks then you should try different brands.
As far as I know your user manual should contains some details and information about the supported and compatible disks.
    Check it!

  • New BIOS firmware for B590 Notebook (20206)

    Hello.
Where can I find new BIOS firmware for B590 Notebook (model 20206)? support.lenovo.com provides an earlier version (08 Oct 2012), but I need at least the same as in the notebook now (15 Nov 2012).
Just wait for a new firmware becomes available at lenovo.com?
How can I find out when it will happen or whether happen at all?
Or at least how to save the current BIOS? Preferably by regular means. It looks like Lenovo utility can only update (and reported that the installed firmware is fresher).
    Thanks.

Still nothing. Is there any hope?

  • Officejet 4620 prints from HP Printer Assistant but shows as offline for normal print jobs

I just purchased an Officejet 4620 to use wirelessly on our home network -- we have two Thinkpads running  Windows 7 64-bit.  I followed the installation instructions and successfully printed out test pages using both the Printer Properties page in Windows and the HP Printer Assistant (which, by the way, shows that the printer is online and ready).  However, when I try to print from any other program (Word, Chrome, etc.), after a moment or two I get an error message saying the printer is offline and asking if I want to cancel the print job.  Yet when I check the online status, it again shows that it is online and I can, again, successfully print a test page.
What could possibly be causing this?  It makes no sense to me.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi oyfpro,
The Xfinity router may need some tweaking.
Login to your router using the provided instructions by Xfinity and navigate to the wireless settings.
Change the channel to 11 or something less crowded.
Change the network encryption to WPA2 as it is the most secure and most reliable.
Last but not least, update the firmware on the Xfinity router to make sure it's fully up to date with everything.
    Thanks.

  • How do I connect to my wireless HP officejet 4620 printer? I was connected when I set it up, have not used it for 10 days. Cannot figure out how to connect.

I purchased a new hp Officejet 4620 wireless printer about 10 days ago.  I followed the directions with installing it and it worked great.  I did not use it until yesterday.  I was not able to print from the wireless printer.  How do I correct this issue?

I called Office Depot where I bought the printer.  I reinstalled the product software and it is printing.  Thank you for your response.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • WHERE IS CREATIVE SUPPORT AND FIRMWARE FOR THEIR PRODUCTS???????

@WHERE IS CREATIVE SUPPORT AND FIRMWARE FOR THEIR PRODUCTS??I swear I can't believe Creative is getting away with what they are doing. I can't tell you the amount of people that are infuriated with this company. Creative seems to be more concerned with releasing a hundred versions of the same type of mp3 player instead of supporting the mp3 players they've already released. I have owned multiple Creative products including soundcards and mp3 players. The lastest one- the Creative X-FI(with wireless lan) is one of the glitchiest players I've ever owned yet their last firmware update was 2 years ago- 2 YEARS!!
!!! I've had it with this ridiculous company. They would be the envy of Apple if they could only get their customer support together instead they'd much rather watch their customer base slowly evaporate.
    Dave

I TOTALLY agree. Not only does their product support blow, so does their customer support. I can't find anywhere to contact these people regarding my warranty return status. I have typed the RMA info in for 3 days now and all I receive is an internal error! WTF
The contact us link is just another link back the same options on the page. SO "contact us" really means "Good luck clicking around in a circle until you give up." I really hope that they send me my product back, lord knows I can't track its status anymore.
This will be the LAST thing I ever purchase from Creative until I've heared that they have gotten their act together.

  • Bonjour64 error: "The configuration data for this product is corrupt.  Contact your support personnel."

Have use WinRAR to pull out only Bonjour64 from iTunes 11.1.5 (and prior releases) to do an install of only Bonjour, as all other iTunes-related software loads fine (have used 11.1.4 and new 11.1.5).  I get the error: "The configuration data for this product is corrupt.  Contact your support personnel."  Have tried everything suggested on net and this forum, including uninstalling everything, cleaning registry, disabling firewall, etc.  Not worthwhile to reinstal Windows 7.  What do I do?

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:

  • Officejet 4620 Refuses to print black!

Have an Officejet 4620 printer hooked to a Windows 7 computer that absolutely refuses to print any black ink. I've run a dozen print head cleanings, updated firmware and software and installed all new HP ink and nothing has helped. The printer hasn't printed a single ream of paper yet and already it's as useful as a doorstop.
I've performed every HP support suggestion with ZERO changes. The colors print perfectly, but not one pinpoint of black ink hits the paper.
I've been a computer nerd since 1973 and I know what clogged heads and low ink situations look like and this isn't it.
Furthermore, I am the "computer 'go to' guy" at my senior center and people ask me for help with their issues all the time. I've seen this exact same scenario on two other people's HP inkjet printers. One lady unplugged the machine and gave it to me then went and bought a new one. One lady's printer miraculously started print perfectly after two days.
My point is that there's something wrong with these printers that causes them to stop printing with black ink. HP support has no solution other than checking the venting, using authentic HP products, running head cleaning, etc.
Judging by the number of posts regarding this NO BLACK INK issue, this is not an isolated issue, but HP doesn't seem willing to acknowledge that there's a problem. Like other posters on this forum, it's starting to feel like I've been scammed.
Why do other inkjet printers have removable print heads, but the OJ 4620 doesn't?

  • OfficeJet 4620 regularly loses connection with HP drivers - but is still connected to network

    Hello,
I recommended an HP OfficeJet 4620 printer for my parents a few months ago. I'm about to leave for a new job and want to make sure it's working properly before I do. Their home network uses a Motorola SBG6580 cable modem as a WAP, but the following problems have also been observed when using other routers. There are at least four computers hard-wired to the network (Windows 7/8).
The printer has been configured to connect to the wireless network, with excellent signal strength and a DHCP lease of 192.168.1.17 - a static IP configuration with no lease has also been tried, it doesn't seem to help at all. The printer's webserver is always accessible at this IP address, and the printer's LCD screen always reports that it is connected.
When using the latest official HP drivers to communicate with the printer (whether 'full featured' or 'driver only'), all functionality is available - scanning, printing, retrieving ink level, etc. - for at least a few hours. After a day or two, perhaps after the printer enters standby/low-power mode, or after an incoming phone call (i.e., potential fax) the printer connection is no longer available. The exact error message given by HP Printer Assistant is 'the computer is unable to establish two-way communication with the device'. Print requests go unfulfilled, the scan-to-computer service goes offline, and so on. However, when the HP driver is uninstalled and the Windows 8 OEM driver for this printer (as provided by Windows Update) is used, printing always works. Manually power-cycling the printer and resetting the IP address used by the HP driver can fix this problem and allow printing/scanning to resume, but only for a limited amount of time.
The following troubleshooting steps have already been tried:
    - Configure printer to use a static IP/gateway/etc. - doesn't really matter, the printer is always connected at the same IP
    - Power-cycle router, reset router to factory defaults, use different router - no effect
    - Restarting clients, or HP services, etc. - no effect
    - Connect printer via USB to each client and use 'Convert to Wireless' afterward - doesn't really do anything useful
    - HP Print and Scan Doctor - doesn't report any problems when successfully connected, and isn't helpful at all when it isn't
    - Move printer closer to WAP - signal strength is excellent, there's no other interference and the printer webserver is always accessible with no problems
    - Disable firewalls, etc. - no effect
    - Firmware / driver updates - everything is already up-to-date
The following actions are not acceptable solutions to the problem:
    - Connect printer via USB and use SMB/HomeGroup to share it
    - Use only the Windows 8 OEM driver (no scanning functionality, and driver doesn't show up in Windows Update for Win7)
If I can't resolve this problem, they will likely return the printer as defective to the retailer and buy a different brand instead.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi,
When connecting to your network via the computer, insure you set sharing to enabled. Turning off sharing when connecting to your network in Win 8 can sometimes cause a disconnect
