Firmware for Nokia 3250
Hi! Why in Nokia software update no updates? Last realease 4.14. I search for new firmware in internet and find ver.4.21,4.40,4.60 . Why NOKIA SUPPORT CAN`T SHARE IT? Or they illegal?

It maybe because the newer 3250 firmware are not yet 100% stable, hence not adviseable for public release. =)

Hello! My name is Paul.I am from Ukraine. I am Nokia 3250 user. There are lots of bugs in this smartphone which have to be corrected in the latest version of the phone software. The first thing to correct is the problem with the working speed. I mean that the phone is very slow. Some times I need to wait for a 30 seconds to turn on a menu, musical player,camera etc. Another thing to fix is the voice, because it became worse in phone software v 4.14 comparing to 3.21. The voice in Games and aplications is also bad. Also there are some problems with camera. As for me the main problem in it is that when I take a picture of a book or copyboook or simple page theri is a big orange spot in the sentre of rhe picture and also the picture not very clear. Then there is a problem with the Real Player. When I am watching video there the sound is going quicker then the picture. But that's not all.... I think it would be better to improve video editor. Because comparing to the phones of other brands there is lack of functions there. The thing to do about the phone is to do some improvments about the menu, maybe to provide more functionality.

New Firmware For Nokia C3-00 : Reviews and Problem...
Today i installed the newest firmware for nokia c3-00 : 8.65 with great anticipation that it would fix the problems and thats what i found out after hard and soft resets many times...
** Chat application is still not accesable. I just cant open it in the MESSAGING section even if i click it again and again ... can you fix this?
** As for communities, i am getting error of SERIVCE TEMPORARILY NOT AVAILABLE. I hope it really is a temporary error, and we dont have to wait for another firmware update.
** A CHAT APPS icon has poped up in my mobile phone and when i click on it , it takes me to nokia ovi's page of some mobile messengers and in which i can only download ebuddy and as for the rest i am getting error that 'THIS ITEM YOU ARE TRYING TO DOWNLOAD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR DEVICE AND/OR COUNTRY. DETECTED DEVICE NOKIA C3-00/PAKISTAN.
Does that means we wont be able to get our old ovi chat application ever? i liked that one because i had the facility to minimize the chat application and get notifications of messages. Cant you fix this because i cant do that with the 3rd party chat apps.

I had the same problem with this firmware update
and for a moment I thought I had ruined my phone, but it occurred to me
perform a factory reset on the phone and Communities and Chat surprise and something that works perfectly also note is that the browser to retrieve the factorygoes a little faster.
I mention it again from your phone please contact Menu> Settings> Restore FactorySettings> All, expect to complete the restoration and your phone is 100% functional.
Note: Before you restore a backup made of all your files, emails, contacts, etc. That everything is removed with the restoration. -

It's not about old or not, it's about that productcode which is under your battery. Take a look here, and follow the instructions. If there is not an update available, you just have to wait.

I'm requesting for a new firmware for Nokia N70, nokia n70 is a tough fighter. Competetive... But it needs new improvments.

-enhanced camera
-faster internet browsing
-listen to radio without headset

-needs sms accelerator, for faster sending of text messages.

Nokia does not provide/support any user-installable "language packs" to add new languages to phones.
Only a full phone software (firmware) package that includes the language(s) you want are available. With firmware versions, all possible language combinations are not available. Only in fixed/limited combinations depending on which regions a device is targeted to.
And also, a do-it-yourself firmware update 'a la NSU (Nokia Software Update) will update the phone with a newer firmware version that was put on the device originally when it was manufactured.
So, the most convenient and supported way to get a Hungarian language menu for a 3250 (or any other model) is to buy a 3250 from a legal reseller/importer in Hungary (or a neighbouring country, if it is a bigger region where phones with Hungarian are sold). -
Compatible Playlists for Nokia 3250

I wish to know if the Nokia 3250 is able to use the .wpl playlist format of Windows Media Player. I like to also ask if the 3250 has the ability to add more "smart" or "auto" playlists since it has 3 built-in smart playlists. This feature would be great although.

I was hoping that the 3250 has the ability to use smart playlists of WMP in which you can specify the parameters such as track length, no. of times played, etc. for more varied and more specified use of those playlists. Yes, it is advantageous to the phone for using ID3 tags to classify tracks but still the categories are limited for me though. Anyway, this is a great phone and I love it. I wish Nokia's into this and I hope in the future revisions of the phone firmware this feature would be hopefully included.

hello. Nokia 523x and nokia c6 are getting firmware updates. it got some interesting new updates such as qt 4.7.3 and symbian anna browser. so it will also be possible for Nokia 5800 to receive a firmware update ?
5800 had received many updates, even more than the N97/N97mini. It is less likely that 5800 or any other S60v5 handeset would get an update with new features. Not sure 5230 and C6 got updated to Anna web browser, because Anna update is only for S3 devices and when devices like N8 and E7 are waiting for Anna it is nearly impossible that older devices has got that update. You can directly install Qt to your phone anyway by downloading files from http://developer.nokia.com.

I'm updating my phone right now, but as all previous firmware versions, there is no change log. We have to figure out what has been fixed this time.
