Firmware installation using FlashTool failed on RAY!
Dear Experts,
During using "Pimp my ROM" software, my RAY(4.1.B.0.587, rooted) restarts. Then i was unable to start any application software, it always shows error: "unexpected error".
For this i want ro repair my phone by using SUS/PC companion.
1st i tried Sony Update service (disable antivirus, full charge the battery) but failed.My phone was not power up after this operation.
Then i used PC companion and it also failed. It shows: Sony Update Engine Failure (error 100)
Then i tried Flastool (v0.9.13) with official ROM(4.1.B.0.587).

One thing i should share:
My phone can connect to flash-mode without pressing volume down key!

Thanks!The firmware version is different from the hardware version. This must be the reason why your device got bricked. You should have sticked with the correct hardware version of your router. If it still responds to a ping then you can still get that to work. But if not, and warranty still applies then you can get that returned to the store where you bought it from and replace it.
First, set a static IP on your computer and have that connected to one of the ports of your router 1234.
Assign a Static IP Address on Your Computer
On the command prompt try to ping
Ping the Router
Download this file and use it to flash the firmware
TFTP Download 44.3 KB...
Double click the TFTP.exe file and click run :
For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router that you assigned. By default, the router is 192.168.1.1...
For Password- Enter the password you assigned the router. By default, the router’s password is “admin”.
For File- Click the triple “…” button and browse for the .bin firmware file...
Click Upgrade button to start upgrading. A progress bar should show up to show the progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

Windows 7 Professional (64bit) installation using bootcamp
I've read a 100 different posts on this forum regarding slightly different issues on this problem, but failed to solve it myself. I'm installing a copy of windows 7 professional (64-bit) through bootcamp on my iMac (bought late 2009) running OSX 10.6.4. The issue may be that I'm using an .ISO file (legitimate digital version i bought through school, with a serial key). I've burnt many different copies using both disk utility and Toast Titanium to make sure the disk burns in a bootable fashion. However I've had the exact same issue every single time. After partitioning the windows volume through bootcamp and initiating the windows install, the computer reboots. A screen appears and says 'loading files' the progress bar fills up twice and it then commences to another screen that 'Starting windows'. After about 15 seconds the disk drive audibly stops spinning and the computer hangs at this point seemingly frozen. I've done it multiple time erasing and re-partitioning the windows portion each time yet still hangs at the exact same point each time and I have to physically turn off the computer and restart. The only thing I have noticed is that a orangey-brown pixal appears above the 'windows starting' as if to commence a progress bar. This is driving me crazy as neither Microsoft or Mac support these issues.
Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Burn the ISO in Windows?
*If you used Apple Disk Utility, as has been said 100x here, burn it at 2x reduced burn speed (sometimes it boots and installs but still fails otherwise).* -

Purchased BlackBerry today.
BlackBerry Desktop Software installs from distribution disc but then fails to open. Can see it in Windows Task Manager>Processes, as follows:

I UNISTALLED previous installation of BlackBerry Desktop Software, including user settings.
Downloaded and installed the installation file for BlackBerry Desktop Software version 4.7, “470_b050_english.exe”, but with same result. Uninstalled it, too.
As suggest elsewhere in this forum, I made directory as follows: C:\INSTALL\Blackberry
Then extracted the downloaded installation file for BlackBerry Desktop Software version 4.7, “470_b050_english.exe”, into it.
Then started installation by clicking on “BlackBerrySetup.exe”.
However, the result is the same, as described above. BlackBerry Desktop Software installs but then fails to open.
Any help would be appreciated. I would like to make this software work.
Is there alternative software available?

I uninstalled all Adobe CC software, ran Adobe CC Cleaner, cleaned my Registry using Piriform CCleaner 5, rebooted and reinstalled CC from scratch. Same problem--everything else installed correctly except Lightroom 5. Also tried uninstalling KB2918614--no joy.

you should dl lr 5.7 and then check that your download is complete. if the same error message results when you try to install, start here - Error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation

Installation of AnyConnect fails (because of a previous uninstall?)
Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client functioned fine some time ago. During a PC cleanup I uninstalled it. Now I want to use it again, but ... every installation fails!
When I install it using https://vpnua.ua.ac.be in Opera webbrowser I get the following error (useless message)
FAILED TO GET CONFIGURATION FROM SECURE GATEWAY
CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
which is me :-)

No Joy. Installation interrupts and fails.
Help is welcome.I was able to fix this problem by fixing windows firewall. I had two services that were missing...Windows firewall and Base filtering engine. what is unknown error(1) !!! it appears every time i tried to update and install iphone soft ware!!! Further, that error appears once the firmware installation is in process !!!
Usually occurs on devices that have either been jailbroken or attempts have been made to downgrade the iOS. You can try putting it in DFU mode to restore but you may not be able to fix it. If you phone has been jailbroken we can't support you in these forums as it is against the terms of use.

WSUS 3.0 SP2 installation is always failed.

uninstall WSUS directly and then install the WSUS again, Unfortunately it always failed with this error message:

Installation of *.pkg fails to due to invalid digital signature
I am a facing a strange issue, installation of quite a few pcakges downloaded from known/trusted sites fails due to invalid signature. To name a few, MS Silverlight, Google video chat pluging and GNU Emacs.
Please see the attached image for error message when I tried to install google chat pkg. It is strange that, digital signature verfication fails every single pacakge. Any clue what is wrong and how can this problem be resolved.

Trying to register the VirtualBox kernel modules using DKMS [FAILED]
Hi,
I am getting the following error while installing Oracle VirtualBox on OEL 5.2, 64-bit.
I am able to see Virtual Machine Wizard from "Applications > System Tools > Oracle VM VirtualBox". Can I go ahead and do 11gR2 RAC installation using Oracle VirtualBox ???
If I need to install DKMS kernel modules please let me know how to do that.
