Firmware on cp1518ni failed. lights on printer stay on.

After updating showed complete, the lights on my cp1518ni color laserjet stayed on. The printer no longer comunicates with my PC. What can I do to fix this problem? I suspect the firmware had errors in it when I downloaded it.

TC 3.5 trial - Robohelp fails to make printed documentation

When attempting to generate printed output, fails - says it can't find Word.
At first, I installed the Office 2010 x64 trial, and that didn't succeed.
In Word, File?options>trust center, enabled macros and access to the object model.

Windows 8 CP1025nw Printer stays offline

I do not know squat about windows 8 other than my opinion of it which is not good. I managed to get the printer installed to print wirelessly, now all of the sudden it's just always offline.
I read somewhere to change the IP address to a static one but that post has zero information on how to actually do that. I know the printer is online because when I connect to the network I can print test pages to it, but I can only do that from the print dialogue the printer does not come up in any printer lists. So If I go to the device webpage it will print from there but only the test pages (I'm sorry if I'm not making sense I'm frustrated and about blind from doing this crap today)
The driver that installed is for CP1020 not the CP1025nw when I try downloading and installing the full software package it fails every time, doesn't matter if I try to set it up to print to the network, wirelessly or USB, it just fails. I thought maybe the current download package wasn't set up for windows 8 so I also downloaded the drivers alone thinking that might help and again nothing. I've attempted 10 times to install and set it up just today (and it's been more than today that I've messed with it).
The printer shows everything is fine, when I run diganostics on the computer everything is fine. But the printer is just showing offline continually.
I read somewhere else too that I could reset the print spooler, but on windows 8 I can't even find that. I am typically great with computers and figuring out issues, and this has honestly left me wanting to rip out my own teeth as I am sure it would be less painful.
Can anyone help?

I'm having the same problem. I'm using a new shuffle usb cable in my 2nd generation shuffle and nothing shows up on computer. I'm wondering if the dock for the second gen is different than the new usb cable direct into the 2nd gen shuffle. I don't have a dock for it. Before I buy one on ebay I hope someone can assist.

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

Not knowing which wireless keyboard you bought, it is difficult to be specific. but ...
it is quite normal for the keyboard's power light not to stay on - it is a way of conserving battery power.
Try this:
turn you keyboard off
on your iPad go to Settings > Bluetooth
if your keyboard is listed under Devices, then touch the little blue i to its right and choose Forget this Device
now reset your iPad: hold both the Home and Power buttons down for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears, let go promptly when the Apple logo appears and wait another 30 seconds for your iPad to turn itself on
After your iPad is back on again go back to Settings > Bluetooth
now turn your keyboard back on and see if it appeard under Now Discoverable
if it doesn't read your keyboard guide to figure out how to put it into Discovery mode
touch the listing for your keyboard under Now Discoverable, it should now appear under Devices
touch the listing for you keyboard under Devices, and choose to pair with it.

Filter failed message from printer

I get the filter failed message from printer - an Epsom 387.
It has worked wirelessly for over a year - today it will not.

Failed to get printer information

I have a legacy application in C++, now ported to VS 2010. All works fine, except I get an intermittent error. I'm printing a CNiReport to a pdf printer (Win2Pdf). Every so often I get an error dialog pop up with the message "failed to get printer information" and the print fails (no pdf produced). This comes from the CnIReport:rint. Unfortunately I'm trying to run my program unattended and this dialog hangs waiting to be dismissed. If I dismiss the dialog and let the program continue, it does and then may or may not get the same error on the next Print. It fails both if I pass the printer name to Print and if I pass an empty name to make it use the default printer.
Can someone from NI confirm that the dialog is coming from CNiReport:rint and is there anything I can do to stop it? Also, why would it happen only occasionally?

Hey Phil,
Could you post a screen shot of the error dialog?
It is uncharacteristic of NI software to have an error cause a dialog to popup. Typically an error code is returned passed and dealt with in error handling or the execution (compiling, run, etc) failing. so I am inclined to say this error is associated with the printer driver.

Depending on how often you use your shuffle (how many charging cycles it's been through), a 2nd gen shuffle from 2008 could have a worn out battery.
Battery charging is not dependent on iTunes running. If you connect it to the laptop without iTunes running (or even installed), it should charge. If you connected the USB cable to one of those USB power adapters, it should charge. It just needs a USB 2.0 port with power.
When you connect it and run iTunes, does the shuffle still appear in the iTunes sidebar? Can you still sync it from empty to full?

Frequent FAIL light on my FiOS ONT

I just got FiOS a month ago or so. I frequently get a blinking red FAIL light on my ONT, and when that happens I have no TV, no phone, and no internet. To"fix" it I have to disconnect my battery backup unit, power off the ONT, wait a few seconds, then reconnect the battery and power the ONT on again. About two minutes later, everything's fine.
Normally (?) this seems to happen once every few days, but it seems like when I use my washer and dryer, it happens like once an hour or more. The ONT is in my basement, fairly close to the washer and dryer.
So, I thought maybe the washer and dryer are causing voltage fluctuations for the house current - they have big electrical motors that turn on and off. So I put a line filter on the ONT - no improvement. Then, I just unplugged the house current from the ONT and let it run off the battery backup - but it still fails frequently when the washer and dryer are on. So, I think this means the house current is not the problem.
Could the ONT be getting some sort of RF interference? This seems really weird!
By the way, the ONT is the 612A model. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When you add this printer, did you get any error message? Did you open Event Viewer and check if find any relevant
