Firmware software corrupted

I uploaded firmware update tonight. Have internet access but the interface with the my linksys WRT54G Ver 1.1 is not complete. I cannot find the firmware update icon and cannot run this again. I have tried to restore the settings by using the reset button and then using the setup izrad off the cd rom supplied but still no luck.
How do I force the origianl firmware into the router?

Download 44.3 KB the TFTP utility and save it on the desktop.
Double click the TFTP.exe file and click run.For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router.By default, the router is 192.168.1.1...
For Password- Enter the password of the router. By default, the router’s password is “admin”.For File- Click the triple “…” button and browse for the .bin firmware file...Click Upgrade button to start upgrading. A progress bar should show up to show the progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
**Use hard-wired computer to upgrade the firmware.

Each time after dowloading, updating, backing up all of the sudden the same error came up for both my iPhone and hubby's iPod Touch:

Unconnect, reconnect, and try again later
Anyone know if this is due to way too much traffic on iTunes or did something go wrong in download? Thinking that was possible, I attempted to download again and it of course told me that I had "already purchased and dowloaded the update would I like to download again for free?" I tried that too, same error as stated above!!!!!

The article Ryan linked you to basically explains how to do this. Here's a step-by-step way:
Since you're on a Windows computer, here's what to do:
1 - Eject/disconnect your iPod, and close iTunes if it is running.
2 - Go to "Windows Explorer".
3 - Go to and follow this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
(If you cannot see these files, then try this: In the "Tools" menu, click on "Folder Options", "View", then select "Show hidden files and folders".)
4 - When you are able to view these files, drag the "iPod Software Updates" folder to your Trash bin or Recycle Bin on your computer.
Now this is complete, connect your iPod and open iTunes. Proceed to install the software update again, and see if it works now.

I have a HP LaserJet M4555h MFP, how do I know if my firmware is corrupt, is it in the event log?

With fax accessory for HP LaserJet MFP Analog 500 = CE737A
Firmware Datecode = 20120623
Firmware Revision = 2200643_228339
The inital issue was receiving faxes, so I updated the firmware to the above listed. In the event log it shows since the firmware was updated on Nov 7th the following:
The device keeps prompting to restart the printer.... I haven't been able to screen capture the message off the device yet... on the Information tab through the EWS it's shown: "An unexpected error occurred. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again." What is that suppose to mean?
Faxing has stopped working completely....
Can you tell me if this means the firmware is corrupt and show be re-loaded?
Or suggest what my next steps would be?

Hello, you can also try a partial clean and reload the latest firmware, see if that will work.

I was told that my 'Springboard' firmware was corrupt and taking my battery life down hard. If I restore my phone as if it is a new one, how then can I sync my stuff back onto it? It seems that if I restort as new, I have no sync info to work with.

Something is corrupting it.
Check your Login items under the Accounts Pref Pane.
Also check: Macintosh HD:Library:StartupItems
Try removing some to see if the issue remains.

Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Software Update Issue

I keep getting the Aluminum keyboard firmware software update in Software Update. I install it, but then it shows up again. No matter how many times I install it, it does not go away. Any ideas?

Have you verified in System Profiler that your keyboard has the update installed? Is the stated firmware for your keyboard correct?
For a wireless keyboard:
Open System Profiler.
In the Hardware section of System Profiler, select Bluetooth.
Locate the keyboard in the list of Bluetooth devices.
Look in the Firmware Version field: If the version number is 321, the keyboard has been successfully updated.
For a USB keyboard:
Open System Profiler.
In the Hardware section of System Profiler, select USB.
Locate the Apple Keyboard in the list of USB devices.
Look in the Firmware Version field: If the version number is 0.69, the keyboard has been successfully updated.
If it is not correct, manually download the firmware update and install. If System Profiler says that it has been installed then go into Software Update and tell it to ignore that update.

Ipod software corrupted

my 160 gb ipod classic stopped working yesterday. the ipod shows up on my desktop & in itunes but doesn't recognize any music or anything else. even when disconnected it shows no music.the macstore employee said it was due to a software corruption and i'd have to restore the ipod. i'd rather not lose all my music...
the ipod still shows that 30gb are being used but lists them as "other," not music. is there any way to save my music?

well if you have your music in itunes i dont think resetting your ipod will have anything to do with that... you should reset your ipod and then just sync all your music back to it.

Just recently my ipod started acting up and telling me that i can't sync anymore songs to it, so i figured i'd just do a system restore, but when i try to restore it it tells me that my firmware is corrupt and can't restore it... what can i do? This also means i can't update my ipod to more current versions...
