Firmware takes too much space any way to reduce it?

when i updated the firmware i noticed i had less Mb in the 515 player is there any updated firmware that takes less space?
why is there only 241Mb free if its a 256Mb storage thing? Tnx in advanced for ur answer

I have never used any of MSI's MP3 players, but do they show up in my computer? If they do right click on the drive and go to properties. Down at the bottom it will show the capacity. As an example my 128MB USB flash drive show 130,019,328 bytes, but that equals 123MB. What does yours show?
Also without any music on there how much space is used according to the property page?
Good Luck
Jeremy

I restored the boot disk (Macintosh HD) from TM's last backup.
The first new backup takes too much space on your external drive!
    Is it true?

  • Ipad 3th gen photo sync problem take too much space / wrong color

I am so happy after i got my 3th gen ipad i start sync 7k+ photo off my computer here problem i got and play phone tag with techsupport until now i still have this problems i wonder if anyone counter those and got tip to solve it.
    1. photo size in computer and ipad not match.
my computer show 5 photo take 6mg
i try a lot photo show in computer 386mg show in itune capacity 14.5gb i check in ipad do some + n - it take around 6.6gb
i resize photo to so small it come out same problem
    2. photo color show not correct.
most of my photo sync to my ipad show in green or purple color.
I find out that any photo not in sRGB and do not have iccc color problem will have this problem i can be fix by convert it to sRGB and add iccc profile but it should not be this way ..
the problem just with photo app that come with ipad, i test with adobe photo express it does the same problem color go all jack up.
as now big big problem is can't seem to get photo sync correctly without 1 problem or other .. with 32Gb hdd i can't even get all photo that show 15gb in pc
    system
win 7 home 64bit with latest itune 64bit
    ipad 3th gen 32gb with at&t 4glte

I'm running iOS 5.1 on my iPhone4 and my new iPad3. But I never saw this color effect on my iPhone3G or iPod2G as well. I did sync some slideshows as well, but that is done on a Mac, not a Windows PC.
What are the settings on your camera when you shoot the photos? Is the sRGB profile embedded by the camera? Any RAW formated pictures involved?

  • Printing takes too much space!

    Hi,
I need to print a JTable's contents. This JTable has about 10 columns and about 500 rows. I print the column header in each page, and as many rows fits in a page until it is done. I separate each row with a line.
Now, this takes about 10 MB in the Windows spooler, which also make the printing slow too.
How can I do to reduce the quantity of memory it takes to print?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gabriel

In general, in JDK 1.2 printer engine not compare to speed even with JDK 1.1 - all fonts are conwerted into shapes (maybe this is not true for jdk1.3+ for some set of fonts - but by sources of JDK1.2 this is it) this aproach caused even moderate amount of text, produce huge amount of shapes. So, if performance is the key for you application - try to play with rasterisation options or take look at non standart printing engines and on JDK 1.4 it is still beta but printing systeme take serious step ahead.
If you dont statisfy java printing at all - try to extend com.sun.awt.windows.WPrinterJob - this is not violate any Sun's right but strongly not recomended.

  • White MacBook takes too much time to boot up

    Hi there.
I got the topcase(keyboard) of my MacBook repaired. (White MacBook 2006) and after that it takes nearly 7 up to 10 seconds after pressing the power button that I first see apple logo and it boots up.
I'm not sure but seems like that detecting the hardwares take too much time .
    any solution?
    PS: I'm running Snow Leopard(10.6.2)

OK, 32 seconds is not good. I don't think it has anything to do with a keyboard repair. You need to try a little maintenance: Reset Pram - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238
    Repair Permissions - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1452
Run Disk Utility >applications>utilities>disk utilities>verify disk
How much free space do you have on your HD: Right click on HD icon and select "get info" in the drop down menu (if you don't have right click capabilities, highlight your HD icon, go file in the Apple menu, and select "get info" in the drop down menu. Let us know your results.
Yes PRAM was the the problem, I've already tried it from this thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2303507&tstart=0
by the way thank you .

  • Bookmark toolbar takes too muck space

Here is screenshot demonstraiting the problem:
    [http://wstaw.org/m/2012/07/17/snapshot2.png Screenshot]
    Main Toolbar is disabled
Bookmark toolbar contains a few folders and located at the top row along with the navigation buttons and page tabs.
The problem is bookmark panel takes too much space (it is too width) - lots of free space is unused.

It never occurred to me to put the bookmarks on the tab bar. They don't seem to auto-size correctly there. (On other bars, you can re-fit the bookmarks using: View > Toolbars > Customize ''or'' right-click blank area of tab bar or navigation toolbar > Customize, then just clicking Done.)
There are some methods for applying style rules to the Firefox UI that might help in this case. For example, you might be able to specify a maximum width for the bookmarks part of the bar. For example:
    <br>#TabsToolbar #personal-bookmarks, #TabsToolbar #PlacesToolbar {max-width:350px !important;}
To apply such a rule, you can use the Stylish extension or the userChrome.css file (as described in other threads, but I'm short of time to search them up at the moment).

  • When I plugged my iPhone into a computer, the music that I deleted are still present on my iPhone but are grey/ghostly. Is there any way I can delete this!? It's taking up too much space!!!!

I deleted a bunch of songs by sliding over the song, and simply deleting it. When I plugged it into my sisters laptop, the music is still present and ghostly/grey looking. I can't slide over it and delete it. It's taking up too much space on my iPhone!!! How can I delete these!?
(the computer used to sync music from my iPhone and such isn't working, so I do everything not from a laptop)

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it.

  • The iCloud Drive folder in Library/Mobile Documents is taking up way too much space on my startup disk.

The iCloud Drive folder in Library/Mobile Documents is taking up way too much space on my startup disk
I was hoping my files would stay in the cloud and not take up a ton of space on my machine (only a 128gb SSD).  But while performing an overnight time machine backup I came back to find a "Startup Disk Full" error message.  I only have about 20gb used locally but over 200gb in iCloud Drive at the moment.
Is there a way to clear the cache so my files stay on iCloud and not hogging space on my SSD? Or a way to redirect this library to my 2nd hard drive?
I'm using a 15" mid-2012 Macbook Pro with a 1TB hard drive and I've replaced the optical drive with a 128gb SSD for my OS (which is where my library is, hence the difficulty).
    Thank you!

While puttering around after posting this I think I found my personal solution here: http://macs.about.com/od/diyguidesprojects/qt/Move-Your-Home-Folder-To-A-New-Loc ation.htm
I'm just going to move my home folder to my 2nd internal 1TB hard drive to solve my problem.
But my question remains, how can we minimize the amount of local space iCloud Drive ***** up?  I wanted to get the rumored new macbook air that might come out next year but this is a big turn off if iCloud drive is going to overwhelm the SSD in the AIr.

  • Upgraded to iPhoto '11, info tray takes up too much space?

Is there a way of resizing or moving the info tray from the side of screen to the bottom like '09 version?
Mostly interested in minimal view to see date, size of photo taken. Screen size on 13.3" so info bar takes up too much space.

No.  That feature is hard coded into the app.  Send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.  The Command+i key combination can quickly open and close the Info tray to get it out of your way.

  • HT1473 I have a whole bunch of CDs that I would like to import into iTunes. However, I'd like for them to be stored "in the Cloud" as opposed to on my PC, which would simply take up too much space. How would I go about doing this? Thanks so much

I have a whole bunch of CDs that I would like to import into iTunes. If I do that, would the songs still reside on my PC (which would take up too much space), or is there a way to get them "into the Cloud"? Thanks so much

Sign up to iTunes Match, though I'd consider investing in more storage. If space is a problem now then you're probably not backing up your existing media and content, which you should most certainly do.

  • What is the best way to manage my iPhoto, which is taking up too much space on my MacBook Pro?

What is the best way to manage my iPhoto, which is taking up too much space on my MacBook Pro?
Specifically, I'd like to keep some of my favorite pictures on the laptop while moving the rest to an external hard drive. Is there a way to tag just a few pictures inside an event/album as "favorite", while storing the rest in an EHD, but still keep them connected to the same event/album? I'd like to have just the favorite pictures on the laptop, but when I have the EHD connected,  be able to view all my pictures in the same place, and not have to browse through separate hard drives. Ideally, whether or not a picture is designated as "favorite" will determine where it resides.
    Is this at all possible?
I have only 7 GB left on my HD and I'm desperately needing a solution!
    Thanks!

You need two libraries to do this. One on the external with all your Photos. One on the internal with a subset - your favourites. You do it this way to make backing up easier - that is, back up the library with everything, so you're only backing up one.
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
Now you have two full versions of the Library.
    3. On the Internal library, trash the Events/albums/photos you don't want there
Now you have a full copy of the Library on the External and a smaller subset on the Internal
    Some Notes:
As a general rule: when deleting photos do them in batches of about 100 at a time. iPhoto can baulk at trashing large numbers at one go.
You can choose which Library to open: Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
You can keep the Library on the external updated with new imports using iPhoto Library Manager

I was copying files to my time capsule when it crashed when it was almost finished. Now I am stuck with a light grey folder I can not delete. I would´t care if it wasn´t for the fact the folder is 1 TB size and takes up too much space. I have tried turning on and of Hiding Files in Finder and what not with no success. So, how do I delete this folder. Remember, I am not extremely familiar with technical terms.

I recommend you erase the TC.. it is the easiest and fastest solution.
In Airport utility open the disk tab and select erase.. choose quick erase.. it will take less than 1min.
Start again but copy files in small amounts.

  • Bookmark Toolbar bookmarks have icons & take up too much space.

Firefox 4 beta 3 added icons to the Bookmark Toolbar, i.e. folder icons next to folder drop-downs, and mini-icons for links. While they're pretty, they take up too much space. Beta 2 didn't look like this.
How can I get rid of them?

    Not on OS X.<br />
It is probably the first Firefox version that will have icons on the Bookmarks Toolbar if you get them by default.<br />
In previous Firefox versions you need a special theme or code in userChrome to accomplish that.<br />
Now you will need code in userChrome.css if you want to suppress those icons.
    Add code to [http://kb.mozillazine.org/UserChrome.css|userChrome.css] below the @namespace line.<br />
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_configuration#How_to_edit_configuration_files<br />
    <pre><nowiki>@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */
    #personal-bookmarks .toolbarbutton-icon {
    display:none !important;
    </nowiki></pre>

  • How do I remove the Icons next to each bookmark on the bookmark toolbar? They take up too much space and all the bookmarks I need on the toolbar dont show up.

On my bookmarks toolbar, each bookmark has the associated webpage icon next to it. I would like to remove those icons, as they take up too much space.
    Thanks

The icons, if you are familiar with them or they are obvious, take up less space than the words. You can abbreviate the names down to next to nothing or even nothing.
To save space and help organization you can group bookmarks into folders on your Bookmarks toolbar.
