Firmware Update Notifications From Other Peoples Devices!

I have a MacBook Pro which backs up to a TimeMachine at work running under 10.5.4. This works great.
But my machine (Airport Utility) sees many other Mac devices somewhere else in the building ... an AirPort Express and an AirPort Base Station among others.
Right now I regularly get automatic pop ups asking me to download firmware updates and configure these other devices, which of course I can't... I don't have passwords to access! My Time Capsule is up to date.
Any ideas on how to stop this happening ?

I don't run it. It just runs itself! As soon as I open the lid of my laptop Time Machine usually starts a backup since it hasn't done one all night. The Time Machine drive mounts on the desktop and data starts moving. The the Airport Utility pops up with firmware update notifications...
Maybe there's some auto update turned on somewhere...

I made my own Apple ID because when I was logged into my dad's my family was receiving my texts from other people. I want to add my device to my dad's "find my iphone" app but without signing into his Apple ID on my phone because that was causing them to get my texts. I was told by Apple I could add my device to his by signing into icloud.com but there is no option that I can find to add my device. And I don't want to log back in to his.. Any ideas???

Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

TS4268 My husband and I use the same apple ID, after the update he started getting all my texts from me to other people and from other people to me. Anyone know how to turn this off?

My husband and I share the same apple ID for purchasing apps and what not, ever since the update he started receiving all my texts from other people and I am not even getting them half the time. Any thoughts on trying to fix this would be appreciated. I tried turning off imessage but then he got no texts at all.

Make sure that on each of your Settings>Messages> Send and Receive Addresses have only the appropriate phone number and email checked at the left. If his is checked on yours click on his it will uncheck

There's an article that Apple has acknowledged this issue. They recommend turning off imessages, reset all settings and then reactivate imessages.
If that doesn't work, you may just have to wait until they release an update, which should be pretty soon.

The home sharing is now off and still has all the songs one there. Even rebooted the wifi modem, supporting hard drives and all computer involved in this catastrophe!! :( all computer are all updated and updated to the new iTunes.

Basically anything not purchased from iTunes that is on my iPhone 6 will not sync over to my MacBook. I have tried to just manually back it up but only the purchased music will sync over to iTunes.

If the books were all purchased from the iBooks Store, then you should be able to download it again. On your iOS devices, check in Settings > iBooks to see if Show Purchases is turned on and then open iBooks and they should be there. Do you recognise the id e.g. has anybody else used your iPad and downloaded and/or synced apps from their account onto it ? If so then those apps will be tied to that person's account, and only that account can download any updates to those apps.
Otherwise you can log out of the currently logged in account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and you can then log in with a different account.

I cannot send email - error message as follows : 'The sender address (my email address) was rejected by the server smtp.tiscali.co.uk.' I can send email from other apple devices, and the email settings are identical. Any ideas?

For some reason I cannot send email - all was working fine, but now I get the following error message when I try to send email:

This may because the attachment is a winmail.dat file. I would recommend taking a look at the article below for more information. Note: the article is written for OS X mail, but does also apply to this situation.

Is some sound manager preinstalled on your notebook? You can find it in control panel. Is there something like Realtek sound manager?

People can share/publish playlists to the iTunes Store. They can either gift those tracks to selected friends or you can purchase the tracks of published playlists. Perhaps not quite what you were asking, but when you purchase music you buy the right to listen to it personally, not to give it away to others.

1. Go to system preference and select Sharing.
2. Check the Bluetooth sharing.
3. Specify directory to which you want to recieve files from Blue tooth device.
4. Turn Blue tooth off and make it on.

OK, now I think I understand your problem.
If it is your calendar that is being shared with other users who have been granted editing priviliges, you will not be able to exclude those events from printing.

ITunes purchased videos and all DRM movies will not play on iOS 8 devices when streamed from an external drive (or streamed from other wireless devices). Any solution in sight?

I am not sure if you really understand the issue at hand. Possibly that you are just scanning, not reading the whole text, or simply that you just want to close a thread with your last words or derail it for whatever strange reason. So far you have been more destructive than helpful, but again this could be ignorance at best.
If you would have had the decency to read the entire thread you would have come to the conclusion that every manufacturer, I came across, has posted FAQ's to this issue but Apple. Find a short excerpt below:

I cannot recieve I messages from other people. My friends have tried sending it to my mobile number and it will not go through to my phone. I can I message them, but it goes through as my email(AppleID), not my mobile number.

I have reset my phone, logged out and back into my AppleID, and have been searching for answers and nothing seems to be the solution. Please help! I am worried I am not getting important messages from other people.

Well, All they ( your friends ) have to do is to add your email address with which you can and will send them iMessages to your contact in their Phone.
Then they will be able to send you iMessages through your email address ( in your case Apple ID )
Also I'm not sure for iPHone 4s, but I think in the iMessage settings you can choose how can people send you iMessages, by phone number or you can also list a few email addresses and choose one as primary. ( this is confirmed on iPhone 5 or later )
