Firmware update with muvo tx 128mb ..solved

hi all
today i have tried to update my muvo firmware with win 98 se
i have installed drivers MuVoTX_DRV_LB__00_05_250 but unfortunately tool for update (MuVoTX_PCFW_LB__0_05.exe)dont recognize any device
then i have tried usb 2.0 drivers (MuVoUSB2_PCFW_LB__20_03.exe)
and Creative MuVo USB2.0 firmware update .20.03...
i hold the power button on muvo and keep it pressed. Then plug the player to the usb-port of the computer and keep the button pressed for at least 5 seconds.
this time installer recognize muvo and i am able to flash it, unfortunately muvo with firmware .20.03 dont works anymore as mp3 player
solution: i have extracted files from firmware .0.05 and copied them in directory where i have muvo updater bundled with firmware .20.03.
this time all works and i have my muvo updated... <FONT color=#222222 size=>

ah. the file you linked twice to is for this: http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=23&subcategory=25&product=099 a completly different product than the MuVoTX 28MB (which for some reason is listed as a separate product from the other MuVo TX (28/256/52) versions...), that's why you were having the problems.
good to know you got your muvo working again though. Message Edited by batkinson00 on 02-24-2005 0:26 PM

  • MacBook Pro SMC Firmware Update 1.6 DIDN'T solve my battery issue.

About two weeks ago I opened my MacBook Pro in the morning to find it was off. I left it on overnight and up until that morning it was still holding a very good charge for being 2.5 years old (could still get ~4 hours web browsing). When I plugged my charger in it only showed a green light. When everything was turned on and loaded I looked at my battery icon and it said (and still does say) 0% charged, not charging, replace now. I know my battery isn't holding as much a charge as before, I had it checked back in August and it was still holding 83%.
When the recent firmware update came out I thought it would solve the problem because the patch described exactly what my problem was. My charge cycle is at 1060 right now. After I installed the update there was no change in my battery though.
Thoughts anyone? Are there more steps I need to take in order to have my battery work properly again?
    Thanks!

With 1060 cycles on your battery, you have experienced better battery life than most MBP users.  In all likelihood a new battery would be the best course of action.  However if you want, post an image of your MBP System Profiler>Hardware Overview>Hardware>Power like this example:

  • Warning - Firmware update with ESX server vmfs volumes

I just updated one of my Xserve RAID controllers to the new 1.5.1 firmware which is connected via a Brocade switch to an ESX 3.0 server. After the update, ESX is unable to recognise vmfs3 volumes. So ESX users, be very careful! I don't know if anyone experienced similar problems?

  • N91 Firmware update with Mac OSx

How do you update firmware on the N91 with a Mac running OSx (Tiger)? Any help much appreciated!!!

You don't, I'm afraid. At least not by yourself or without a PC with Windows, as the update software is Windows-based.
You can take your phone to your nearest Nokia service/repair center, though:
    http://www.nokia.com/repair
Or you could find a friend, relative or colleague with a PC running Windows.

    Hello,
I want to update my devices via Web Desktop Manager. I have configured the BES like discribed in the appropriate document and I have configured a share and a software bundle.
After login in the web desktop manager, I have no possibility to update the firmware. The register card "Device software" is missing.

  • Firmware update with black menu interface option?

    Hello folks and Apple people,
I purchased my black 30gb iPod a few weeks ago, and it's cool except for the fact anything that comes in contact with the casing scratches it. A little disappointed in that but from what I gather the only thing to resolve the issue has been to put the soft white case in with each model (which also scratches the acrylic) :-/
Anyway, my main question is one that I think others would be interested to know about. Are Apple going to release a version of the software for this iPod that permits me to change the menus from a white background to a black one with white text? It looks a little out of place with such a cool black unit, and a black user interface would seriously rock.
    I can only hope!
Athlon 64 3500+   Windows XP Pro   Waiting to buy my first Intel Mac as soon as they come out!!

Sounds cool, but it would probably look goofy and hard to see the album art. But i do like the idea of being able to change background and menu colors.

  • Jumpy, erratic trackpad on MBA (Is there a firmware update?)

There have been complaints about jumpy/erratic/random cursor behavior with Macbook Air's trackpad. I have the same problem, and it's driving me nuts.
However, I noticed that, from users who were complaining about similar behavior on their MBP mentioned an April 12 keyboard firmware update that seemed to have solved their issue.
Does anyone know if there is something similar for the MBA that can solve it.

Hi guys, I thought I was going crazy here after owning my MacBook Air for a couple of months now.
This happens to me as well. In fact, it happened a few minutes ago and I had no other choice but to hit the power button and select Shut Down. After a restart, it was fine. I have seen this problem come up a few times on this machine.
Sometimes the trackpad would not respond at all, the cursor doesn't move. At other times, it has a mind of its own and seems to 'catch up' to my actions and moves around the screen really fast, starts right clicking, clicking on things, being erratic.
I have also noticed that I'm unable to drag-lock (tap and keep a selection) and sometimes lose the ability to right click with two fingers.
I may have to get this looked at but I don't want to put this baby in for servicing since it has had a clean record.

  • FIrmware update error

I see that others have had problems updating the Airport Extreme firmware to 7.3.1. Mine is now at 7.0.0. Solutions proposed by others just don't seem to work for me. Tried soft and hard resets, unplugging, even a system reinstall. Tried updating firmware incrementally (7.1.1, etc.). In short, I've been stymied at every turn. This has not been a typical "Apple" experience! Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
    Thanks-
    Rob

    Hi,
Be sure to run the firmware update with Airport Utility 5.3.1 (or more recent). Use a wired connection with the computer running the utility plugged into one of the group of three LAN ports. You also need to have working connectivity to the Internet so the computer can grab the firmware image from Apple via the Internet.
After I upgraded to 7.3.1, it didn't really seem to solve any pre-existing problems. Frankly, I'm thinking the upgrade path for the AEBS is to retire the AEBS. I've had an AEBS for over a year and have never gotten it to perform satisfactorily. The best luck I've had is using the AEBS as a dumb bridge. I'm going to see if I can get the AEBS to talk WDS (wireless distribution system) with my Linksys WRT54G/GS or my Cisco AP350. At least one other AEBS owner said WDS works with Linksys - despite the fact that Apple's HowTo says the AEBS's WDS is proprietary.

  • Latest firmware update killed my network, HELP!

so.. I updated the firmware about a month ago when it was first available.. My device is completely stock and i'm not really ready to root nor factory reset it. I reset it before due to an error on the backup assistant screwing with my external sd card (the real issue was the copy and paste error some devices were faced with). I've been through about 4, 32gb externals and the latest sandisk just sent me.. is bad too. :/
But, that's not the issue i'm getting at. Since the lastest firmware update with caller ID, etc.. I've had little to no signal, dropped messages in my house, completely dropped 4G LTE while using GPS.. horrible due to some areas I was in.. slow or lagged device to the point where i've had to restart my device 3-4 times each day in the last week...
Can someone either tell me if there is a quick solution to this or what the next step should be in this process. because this whole "we've retracted the update but are looking into a fix" ** isn't very settling. Since, on Verizon's time.. I'm afraid the next update won't come for a few months..

I am having the same issues described by everyone else (dropped 4G, worse signal, etc.) after the update to MD3.
My wife's phone is identical but without the update and it works fine (like mine did before the update)
WHAT is the resolution to this issue, Verizon? I really don't believe I should have to go down the root-my-phone route and find third party sources to fix this issue. Why can't you just push the old firmware back to my phone?
I am quite disappointed that what was my best smartphone experience to date has been ruined.

  • Firmware problem with imac

hello, i have a problem with my imac 27 inch, late 2009 (11,1). it doesn't starting after the firmware update. with firmware restoration can i use?

If you cannot get it to boot you will need to take it into an Apple Store or AASP to be fixed.

  • Aluminum Keyboard firmware update FAILURE

I accepted the firmware update yesterday and was asked for my appleID password to confirm installation. After the firmware installation started (listed as "Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update 1.0" in the title bar of the installation window, but 1.1 in the software update list), the keyboard just stopped working entirely (although the mouse connected to the USB slot was still functioning) and oddly, I was asked for my password to resume installation. Of course at this point, I had no functioning keyboard to enter the password!
I plugged in a spare MS keyboard to put in the password and continue the installation, which stalled due to some internet issues (still not sure if it's ISP or AirPort related). I woke up this morning to check and the update was still stuck installing. It wouldn't let me close the update without forcing, but I went ahead and stopped it and re-started the firmware update by checking for software updates again. The update asked me for my password THREE times and went through a loop of progress on what appeared to be the same installation screen. After the third time, I received a message that the firmware installation failed.
So now I've completed the firmware update (with an error) and managed to incapacitate my keyboard. Any idea what I can do to get my keyboard working again?
I'm aware of the possibility that the additional keyboard may be causing problems, but being prompted for a password three times during the firmware update necessitates it.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
At this point you may be better off taking the KB to an Apple Store and getting them to install the firmware.
To be honest, I would never do a firmware update with Software Update. As you see, things can go wrong, especially when you are relying on an internet connection. Whenever SU informs me of a firmware update I decline to install and then go to the Apple Downloads page, manually download the update and, following the instructions exactly, install the update manually.

  • EFI firmware update - I can't get any sound from ITunes now.

I just installed the firmware update with no problems except I-Tunes won't output any sound. It is playing, but no sound comes out through speakers or through the headphone outlet.
I reinstalled ITunes latest version, still no sound output. Checked my sound preferences, still no sound from ITunes.
I do get systems sounds (the beeps and stuff), just not from ITunes.
Anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Try trashing iTunes preference file (com.apple.iTunes.plist) and repair permissions.

  • Problems with EFI Firmware Update to 1.5 for mid 2010 Mac Pro, and sleep issues

Hello to the community, I have run into an annoying issue.
I need to update the EFI firmware on my 8 core mid-2010 Mac Pro. I downloaded the EFI update from the apple website from here : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1321
But everytime I download it, as I click to install, it gives me the message:
    Alert
This software is not supported on your system.
But clearly this is the correct EFI for my computer. I tried burning the Firmware restoration onto a CD from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1320
But the computer did not respond the way it said it should (with the 3 flashes/beeps etc.) and have the optical drive open for the CD.
    So I'm completely stuck.
*Also my Mac Pro had issues with sleep, when I put it to sleep, sometimes when I try to bring it back, it restarts itself, and other times, it just turns itself on and the monitor screen remains black, so I have to hit the power button to turn it off then back on again. This only happnens when the computer has been put to sleep for a slightly extended period of time, roughly 20mins +, sometimes longer.  I was trying to solve this problem by first updating the firmware because I think it could be related to that, but I've had this problem with the firmware so I couldn't find out. This is actually the bigger problem for me because it will affect my work. I am currently using an iMac while I fix up this mac pro.
I'm a music composer so I've upgraded many aspects of my system due to work. I have a 1TB Samsung 840 evo SSD, 2 seagate 2 TB HDD, and 1 WD 1TB HD (the original one in the mac pro), along with 32 GB of RAM. So my only problems are the firmaware and the weird activity when the computer is put to sleep.
Some help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Firmware update N80 with Vodafone

Well finally last night I got to upgrade my N80 to 4.0623.0.41 of the firmwear. I was so happy...........
..until I started to use my phone, pronlems and lots of em.
Themes that I have used before on my N80 and have functioned/looked as they should. Now in idle mode, have a hole in them, through to some theme I dont even have. (The area looks similar to where a picture would go if you choose one in edit theme)
I can't pair with my Mac now, this used to be one of my most reliable bluetooth connections, even though I read elsewhere people were having problems with this.
Also, until I did a firmware keypad restart, it wouldn't open themes. Well it would, but it would crash and kick me out straight away. This is fixes now.
I cold take pictures and they would not show in gallery. But there where on phone as I could explore to them.
But what a joke, I really am slowly loseing faith in Nokia, looks like I'm joining quite a few people. I thought I would never get any other phone apart from nokiaMessage Edited by stevieh590 on 14-Nov-2006

Sincerely, you think it might work cos you read somewhere it is supposed to work or it might work cos you've seen it working or at least somebody actually told you it worked?
I'm having the same problem and I've read through ALL this forum and NOWHERE I've read no whatsoever working way to solve this issue. And the fact that this is entirely Creative fault never cease to amaze me. We updated the exact way the instructions ordered and the updater killed the player.
Now I believe that there is a part of the problem that the admins still don't fully grasp, and that's the fact the the updater, any firmware updater, once the issue manifests, DO NOT see the player connected anymore. Although it is in reality connected accordin to Windows and the typical symbol of successful connection on the player. Connection that it is not useful for the updater NEVER see it anymore and the player won't go out of Recovery Mode because of the simple life fact that THERE IS NO FIRMWARE IN THE PLAYER, hence even battery recharging it is going to be an issue.
Still can't believe why they keep that updater online.
