Firmware update with web desktop manager

Hello,
I want to update my devices via Web Desktop Manager. I have configured the BES like discribed in the appropriate document and I have configured a share and a software bundle.
After login in the web desktop manager, I have no possibility to update the firmware. The register card "Device software" is missing.
I don`t know how to fade in the missing register!

I have just installed Web Desktop Manager v1.0.1 on my BES server (v.4.1.4.15). The installation went fine, but I am not able to login to the website. I get "The page cannot be found". Anybody have suggestions on what I did wrong and what I need to do to get this working? Thanks!

Web desktop manager

hi all,
i'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to write in. i was wondering if it's possible to install bb web desktop on without BES, on windows 7? i would like to have that web manager, but i'm getting "setup.exe encountered an error and it need to be closed" error .
any advice would be appreciated.

Blackberry 8800 closes the connection with the desktop manager

i have blackberry 8800... when i try to connect with the desktop manager 5.0 it connects flawlessly but after some seconds a message appears that your device has lost the connection with the desktop manager but even then the usb sign stil being showed infront of the battery indicatior... after some seconds of losing the connection, it connects again and disconnects again and this is goes on ....

the Blackberry Desktop Manager (5.0.1) stopped syncing with the Yahoo! Address Book. The application attempts to read a users Yahoo! Address Book and fails. There are numerous reports of this issue. Does anyone know of any changes to the Yahoo! Address Book on that day?

and now im tryng to find out with server is support with blackberry
as far i know is not supported by yahoo, nor by google and with outlooks is has problems as well

Cannot sync - BB8900 with BB Desktop Manager for Mac

After first downloading Desktop Manager, I was able to sync with my 8900 once. Now, every time I connect the device (via USB), Desktop Manager opens, attempts to connect to the device, and fails. Status of the device shows at 'not connected'.
I've followed the sync services set up for Entourage and Mac. I've also uninstalled Desktop Manager and reinstalled, but it didn't resolve it. I've disabled my password protection from the 8900 as well, and that hasn't worked.
I used PocketMac before, and while there were some issues with data loss and overlap, it worked most of the time. I have uninstalled PocketMac at this point.

I would suggest doing the following:
Uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac, restart the computer.
Then perform the following:
On the Mac computer, navigate to Macintosh HD >
System > Library >
Extensions.
Locate the BlackBerryUSB.kext and
BlackBerryUSBDev.kext files.
Move these two files to the Trash.
Empty the Trash.
Restart the Mac computer.
Then go to www.blackberry.com/desktop to re-download BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac.
Install and then hook up the BlackBerry and make sure you have mass storage mode enabled.

Strange Problem with Web Object Manager

Hi,
I have a very strange problem with JDev.
When I register a servlet with the Web Object Manager, it does not work (the web server does not find the servlet). This is not the end... If I exit JDev, re-open it and return to the Web Object Manager, instead of the Web Object Manager tree appears a tree labeled JTree with leaves labeled "colors", "sports" and "food"???
No way to recover the Web Object Manager!
I had to re-install JDev.
Any ideas?

Authentication with Web Accees managment through Headervariable

Hi All
We have configured External WEb Access Management Product (reverse proxy, passthrough) for authentication to access our BI Java 7.0 Application using Header variable.We have configured authschemes.xml and UME Properties
When we are trying to access our BI Java 7.0 Application then get the below Error
" Cannot logon user defined in header variable"
Please help me on this if anyone have faced these type of issue

I have doubt on onething, in visual Administrator the below Login module stacks are available,
SAP-J2EE-Engine this is a default configured login module stack that can be used by everyone.
·        Basic allows for Basic Authentication, supported by the Web container.
·        Client allows for client certificate authentication, supported by the Web container.
·        Digest allows for digest authentication, supported by the Web container.
·        Form allows for form authentication, supported by the Web container.
·        Ticket used for creating and verifying logon tickets.
·        Evaluation assertion ticket used for verifying assertion tickets (tickets used between systems).
I have selected SAP J2EE Engine and then defined the below Logon stack
EvaluateTicketLoginModule SUFFICIENT {ume.configuration.active=true}
HeaderVariableLoginModule REQUIRED {ume.configuration.active=true, Header=}
CreateTicketLoginModule SUFFICIENT {ume.configuration.active=true}

it do not understand whether it is right or we should create new policy under policy configuration and the define the above stack.now i am also facing problem in loggin to Visual adminstrator

Synchronization Problems with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5v and Windows Mail Client

BlackBerry (RIM) Desktop Manager 4.5v synchronization setup does not work properly. I cannot synchronize my desktop calendar because the only desktop application formats available are (<None>, Ascii Import/Export and Yahoo), Windows Mail is not an option!
I contacted BlackBerry and the only response I received was that I need the Outlook Express program to synchronize my desktop calendar.
Microsoft upgraded from the Outlook program to Windows mail to provide a better program, which I happen to like! The idea of purchasing the Outlook Express software when there is nothing wrong with my current mail program does not make any sense to me! And will BlackBerry support any Vista system issues if there are any compatibility problems with the old Microsoft mail client?
Has anyone contacted BlackBerry about this issue? Any ideas how to fix this problem?
Why can’t Blackberry (RIM) resolve the synchronization issue? In addition to this problem, you may find that the Desktop Manager Device Switch Wizard does not function with the Treo 650 and BlackBerry 8830 and the Advanced feature in Backup and Restore does not seem to save the any files that you want to restore.

You can only synchronize contacts with Windows Mail - you can not synchronize calendar, memos, or tasks. Outlook express does not have these items, and the version of Windows Mail that I am running also does not have them. Windows Calendar is seperate from windows mail on my version of Vista.
So to clarify it all, downgrading to Outlook Express will still not get you calendar synchronization as it does not have a calendar.

Firmware update with muvo tx 128mb ..solved

hi all
today i have tried to update my muvo firmware with win 98 se
i have installed drivers MuVoTX_DRV_LB__00_05_250 but unfortunately tool for update (MuVoTX_PCFW_LB__0_05.exe)dont recognize any device
then i have tried usb 2.0 drivers (MuVoUSB2_PCFW_LB__20_03.exe)
and Creative MuVo USB2.0 firmware update .20.03...
i hold the power button on muvo and keep it pressed. Then plug the player to the usb-port of the computer and keep the button pressed for at least 5 seconds.
this time installer recognize muvo and i am able to flash it, unfortunately muvo with firmware .20.03 dont works anymore as mp3 player
solution: i have extracted files from firmware .0.05 and copied them in directory where i have muvo updater bundled with firmware .20.03.
this time all works and i have my muvo updated...

ah. the file you linked twice to is for this: http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=23&subcategory=25&product=099 a completly different product than the MuVoTX 28MB (which for some reason is listed as a separate product from the other MuVo TX (28/256/52) versions...), that's why you were having the problems.

Warning - Firmware update with ESX server vmfs volumes

I just updated one of my Xserve RAID controllers to the new 1.5.1 firmware which is connected via a Brocade switch to an ESX 3.0 server. After the update, ESX is unable to recognise vmfs3 volumes. So ESX users, be very careful! I don't know if anyone experienced similar problems?

My 8320 curve will not connect with the desktop manager

I have just received a new device (bold 9700), and i need to send my contacts from my old 8320 to the 9700.
I read a post about doing it thru the desktop manager, but i have never been able to sync my 8320 to the desktop manager.
How can i make the desktop manager recognize my bb 8320?

You should be able to use the switch device wizard in BB Desktop Manager. Are you wanting to "sync" or are you wanting to make a backup or transfer info from one BB to another? They are two different things. Can you be more specific? When you plug in the device does DM show the pin at the bottom of the DM screen (or the device picture if using DM6?)

Can't restore photos from old BB to new BB using media manager because the netbook I use has a max resolution of 1024 x 600 and the media manager SW requires 1024x768 resolution. (Why does it care?)
Any suggestions on how to make it work?

Bank GL to be updated with open item management in GL master

Dear Friends,
As I have missed out to put the tick mark to manage the open items for one new GL code which was created for Bank, while doing the Bank reconciliation for this GL, System is giving a message as " There are no open items managed in the respective account ".
As our users were updated some entries in this GL, I have reversed these entries and made it as ZERO balance.
After these reversal, I went to change the GL status thro FS00 to meet the open items requirments but our SAP is not allowing to SAVE with this changes and it is showing error message as " Account balance = 0 but open items exist in the account" .
In view of the above, we are unable to proceed for BRS and please note that even if I go to clear all these open items available in this GL thro F-03, it is not allowing to clear the same.
If possible, please guide me immediately as it is my important issue.

It would be better instead of clearing manually clear with RFSEPA02 (Which is to activate open item management in middle correction has to take)
