Firmwareänderung CISCO SPA5xxG Framefilterung

Hallo liebes Cisco Team,
SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.2.121:5060;branch=s2jG2bK-66f8t342\r\nTo: "Micha" <sip:[email protected]>;tag=ba50b6ff\

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3261.txt
"A request outside of a dialog MUST NOT contain a To tag; the tag in
the To field of a request identifies the peer of the dialog. Since

how can i erase the firmware of cisco 7912 phone ? the firmware is crashed in this 7912 phone , i want it to download another copy from CUCM8.5 .
the way i did on 7911phone doesn't work on 7912.

    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10797901/reset-factory-default-ip-phone-7912
You can try that procedure but I'm not sure how far that factory reset goes on those phones.  I know the 7940/60 series you can blow out everything except the CNU which would do exactly what you are looking for.

IPT 7942 Take the New Firmware Successfully But still the problem in Cisco IPT 7962 the phone still appear Cisco Logo only.
How I can Solve this Problem
    BR
    Eng.Mohammad Barghouthi

    Hi,
If only one 7962 is affected you can try a factory reset using the following steps, else try connecting this 7962 to the switchport where a working 7942 is connected and see if it changes anything.
Unplug the power cable from the phone and then plug it back in. The phone begins its power up cycle.
While the phone is powering up, and before the Speaker button flashes on and off, press and hold #. Continue to hold # until each line button flashes on and off in sequence in amber.
    Release # and press 123456789*0#.

  • Updating Marantz firmware via CISCO 1921 Router

I have a CISCO 1921 Router running IOS Version 15.0(1r)M15.  There are two Marantz 7701 pre/pro processors on the LAN side of this router.  Marantz makes firmware updates available through the internet.  All other network services seem to run without any issues on the 7701 except firmware updates.  We can stream Pandora audio, various internet radio stations, and receive notification of firmware updates available just fine.  However, if we try to actually update the firmware, the Marantz 7701 connects to the update server, then hangs trying to do the update and has to time out before I can try to do the update again. There is something in the way that Marantz uploads the firmware update that is getting blocked by the CISCO 1921.
If we put an HP ProCurve switch between the CISCO 1921 and the FIOS ONT and assign a routable IP address to the Marantz, the firmware update works just fine.  If we attach the Marantz to an Apple Airport Express that is NATted/routed to a COMCAST cable modem connection the firmware update works just fine.
This is a long shot, but does anyone happen to  have a Marantz 7701 attached to a CISCO router that successfully allows the Marantz firmware updates on the LAN side?  If so, did you have to change any of the "default" IOS settings so the update takes place?
I tried to get some info from Marantz on how they do the firmware update, but the folks that answer the phone didn't have access to any protocol or handshake information.
Thanks for any insight or help on this.

  • Issue Upgrading Firmware on Cisco 7970 - Bricked?

I recently attempted to upgrade the firmware for my SCCP Cisco 7970 phone to 9-3-1SR2-1. After doing so it will no longer boot. When connected via either PoE or power brick it will just cycle through a black screen and the second line button lights up orange from time to time.
I am not sure if I bricked the phone. I tried both methods of factory restoring - 123456789*0# and 3491672850*#.
I also read a few forms where it was advised to use TFTP32 on a machine to provide the firmware files. I tried this but all the phone seemed to request is the term70.default.loads file and nothing else.
Has anyone had similar issues and were able to resolve them?

The following link mentions a similar issue to what I am having, refer to rustomhind comment.

  • New Firmware Fix Cisco bug ID CSCtn23871?

In the Cisco Security Advisory released on May 25th, it said the firmware to fix CSCtn23871 would be released June 10th. That never happened. But now a firmware version has been released with the 2.0.2.1 version number that was supposed to fix the vulnerabilities from this Security Advisory. Does this new firmware update fix CSCtn23871? There are no release notes for this firmware, which was released 5 days ago.

Do you know when the release notes will become available for this firmware version? The release notes were updated for the RVS4000.

    Hi Experts,
Need advice here. Is there any concern if my HDD firmware on Cisco UCS are mismatched. There reason why we had several Harddisk brand and firmware is because we usually faced with harddisk failure. Hence we RMA the harddisk and replace with new HDD brand and Firmware (See below). We also faced VM is not running well caused we have to re installed the VM on the same server. Is it cause by mismatch HDD?

    Hi
Have you run the latest host update CD to flash the firmware?
If you are having problems generally it would be a good idea.

  • Cisco 3905 problem / remote site

    Hi all!
    Information:
I have CUCM 8.6.2.20000-2 and many Cisco IP Phone 3905 (SIP). Some of them deployed in central office and some in remote sites.
    Phone information:
    Boot Version: 3905.0-0-0-01-01
    DSP Version: 12.0.0.8
    Application: 3905.9-2-2-0
    Symptoms:
    In remote sites only!
The phone is registered and working fine. However, after few hours idle state I lift the handset, dial any number and nothing happens. Drop the call and try again 2-3 times. After that either call passed or get permanent busy tone (need to reboot the phone to work again).
The phone is marked as registered on CUCM and I hear dial tone when lifted the handset.
I cannot collect debug messages from phones, because as soon as I login via telnet it going work fine.
There is no such problem in central office.
Phones print following messages in terminal all the time:

  • Cisco SG300 HOSTP_flash_operation: fatal error during read operation!

I have 2 Cisco SG300-52P switches.   Earlier this week, one of them started dropping connections and POE was not working on a couple of devices...  I came in this morning to restart them when no one else was around. After restarting them, the troublesome one was still not detecting POE devices.
I have been waiting for some down time to do a firmware update, so I thought this might straighten things out.  I Downloaded the updated bootloader and firmware from Cisco's site.  Updating the (non-problem) SG300 went exactly as it should.  Upgrading the the bootloader on the problem SG300 went exactly as it should.  Started the firmware update on the problem switch ....... and it didn't come back online.  The power light was flashing, and occasionally the lights on ports would blink like they were trying to reset, but they never made it.   There weren't really any special configurations on this switch so I had nothing to lose by trying a factory reset via the pinhole on the front ...... same result.
I connected to the serial port via a win7 PC with putty. .. All setting per Cisco. I got a message that the connection was detected, but it would not accept keyboard input.  I power cycled the SG300 and watched the messages go by ... It looked like everything was working.  I even got a message that the "Initialization task was completed"..
Then this message "HOSTP_flash_operation: fatal error during read operation!"
We have had a couple of internet and power outages recently, but I am trying to rule out other issues before blaming it on that.
    any suggestions?
    putty output file attached

I am not familiar with SG series products, but looking at the error message in the attached file, it appears there is an issue with reading from the flash.  It could be that the flash file is corrupted and the flash needs to be formatted and then reload the software again.
If you have support contract on the product, I would suggest you open a TAC ticket with Cisco and have them help you.

    Please post "debug ccsip messages".
Based on your debug you are getting "Cause No. 38 - network out of order."
You may want to bind SIP to an interface that the IP address is defined which Lync points to.

  • 3560G and 802.1X with Cisco IP Phone

    Hi,
We have been doing some test on our 3560G switch with 802.1X. The switch port has a Cisco IP Phone 7940 connected and at the back of the IP Phone is the PC (802.1X client).
The PC authenticates with the computer name or the username properly without any problems. However problem is that the port stays opened/authorized even after disconnecting the Laptop from the phone. Only disconnecting the phone from the switch disables the port and enforces authentication.
This totally defeats the purpose for us.

I believe the problem should be solved with the new phone firmware:
    Ref Cisco Document:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/prod_release_note09186a0080461f84.html
"Firmware release 7.2(2) provides support for the Cisco IP Phone models 7960G and 7940G to monitor IEEE 802.1X messages between an authenticating switch and a connected PC (supplicant).
When a PC is disconnected from the Cisco IP Phone, the phone issues an EAPOL-Logoff message on behalf of the PC to the authenticating switch.
    Hope This Helps

  • Need download link for WRT350N firmware

I have been looking for the latest official firmware for the WRT350N, but when I go to Linksys's official page located here:
    http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT350N
There is no official download link for any model there.
Is there anyone that has the latest firmware or could provide me a download link?
Any reason why they are no longer listed on the site?

Try requesting the firmware in link below. I suppose you can even try to request the firmware from Cisco. It was never clear to me whether or not WRT350N was a linksys product or a Cisco business product.. Can't hurt to try both places. I used to have the latest firmware for the WRT350N on my hard driver, but is so old, I no longer have it.

but process was interupted at boot phase with new firmware.
    Bootloader print this:
    Initialization: Unexpected Boot Error
And now i can`t run ANY new or old firmware.
Only load into AP, not run.
I try some new and old version firmware with same result!

  • Firmware update for SRX200

I've got an older SRX200 that is starting to "disconnect" frequently (loss of wireless connectivity).  I've gone to the Linksys website to download a firmware update, as a potential fix, but the website says no firmware is available.  The current version I'm using is 1.01.18.
Any advice?  Maybe it's just time to buy a new router...

Due to the rules that govern the use of this firmware, Linksys/Cisco is no longer able to provide this firmware for download. Therefore you will not able to upgrade the firmware in the Router.
If you are facing the frequent disconnection from the network you can try the combination of settings:
    # Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page.
    # Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your routers main/ basic setup page)
    # Then Click on wireless Tab select Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 1, 3, 6, 9, and 11. Click Save Settings.
    Then check the wireless status.

  • RV042 - latest firmware?

    Dear community,
Does anyone know where I can find the latest version of the firmware for the RV042 10/100 4-port VPN router?  I could be wrong but it appears that Cisco made changes to the design of the RV042, and released it under the same name.  The version of the firmware posted on the Cisco website is VERY different... which suggests that it is not compatible with my RV042.  Furthermore, I found the following posting in one of the Cisco forums:
"Note: This firmware version will only work with the newly released RV042, RV082, and RV016 Version 3 hardware. It is not backward compatible with previous hardware versions." [SOURCE: RV016, RV042, RV082 Hardware V3 Firmware Update]
    My RV042 Router
    purchased in 2008
    CPU=Intel IXP425-266
    DRAM=32MB
    Flash=8MB
    Original Firmware=1.3.12.6tm
    Current Firmware=1.3.12.19-tm
    Firmware on Cisco Website
current version: 4.2.3.03notice how different this version is from my 1.3.12.19
    RV042, RV042G, RV082, RV016 firmware 4.2.3.03-tm (V3 hardware required, except RV042G)
    firmware is currently posted: here

It's a bit confusing... But basically over the years Cisco has released the RV042 with different hardware. As such, you have to be mindful when upgrading your router as the firmware versions are not backward compatible with the older hardware (like mine).
