First compilation on system is long... Why ?

Hello,
The first compilation of a program, transaction, report in ERP 6.0 is very long ( 10, 15 minutes for easy reports and 30 minutes for big reports). But after it works fast to call transaction, report...
What can be the problem ? IS it possible to improve the time of compilation ?
regards,
Aurélien

Hi Aurélien,
The only thing I can think of is running transaction SGEN for generating all objects.
Regards,
John.

Hello .. I've been subscribed for ic;oud for 20$ per year and I found it useless for many reasons: that I can not disconnect my mobile while the uploading process and it takes long time for uploading my data .. Its not a reliable system that's why I need to deactivate the space service and take my money back .. Thanks

The "issues" you've raised are nothing to do with the iCloud service.
No service that uploads data allows you to disconnect the device you are uploading from while uploading data. Doing so would prevent the upload from completing. It is a basic requirement for any uploading service that you remain connected to it for uploading to be possible.
The time it takes to upload data to iCloud is entirely dependent on how fast your Internet connection is, and how much data you are uploading. Both of these things are completely out of Apple's control. Whichever upload service you use will be affected by the speed of your Internet connection.

  • "Error in first 1MB of system memory"- What does this mean?

I have a 2 year old T60, no prior problems. Today, when attempting to start it up (after already running it for a few hours this morning), the screen remained blank and it gave the following series of beep codes- 1 long, 3 short, 4 long, 3 short.
After some research, I have discovered that this beep code means that there is an "error in the first 1MB of system memory". What exactly does that mean, and how serious is it?

    Hi jchapm12,
    Welcome to the Lenovo forum
I was unable to find your beep code in the T60 Hardware Maintenance Manual. And I don't know exactly what your error code code means, other than what it says. But I'd still recommend booting from the Memtest86+ CD and letting at least 1 complete set of tests complete. For a more complete test, let it run for several passes, or overnight.
In case Memtest finds any errors, then most likely either some of your RAM has gone bad, or the connection between the RAM and its socket in your T60 has become poor. You can try removing and re-inserting the DIMMs to scrape off any surface oxidation that may be giving a bad connection. (See Hardware Maintenance Manual for instructions on adding/removing RAM.) Run Memtest again after any changes to verify that it no longer finds any errors.
RAM errors are serious: even if they don't cause boot problems, they can lead to filesystem errors and thus unpredictable system instabilities and/or data loss.
Good luck and please let us know how it goes...

For some reason, I cannot use the "toggle method" of switching to windows anymore. I restart, holding down "option", but when I cannot select operating systems once both hard drives appear. I can still restart using System Preferences, but why does the other method no longer work?

  • FPGA: first compile fails

We have 2 machines with LV2012 SP1 including LV FPGA and the Xilinx Tools 13.4.
It is reproducible that the first compilation after starting the compile server (local) fails with an internal LV FPGA error. Just starting the compilation again (without even re-generating the intermediate files) works fine. Any clues?
We're compiling a FPGA code with a socketed CLIP on a 7965R target if that makes a difference.
On a side note: I'm happy sometimes some compile steps require a negative amount of time else the compilation would take even longer  I get this (cosmetic only) error from time to time.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Here's the screenshot from the compile error. Appears just after the state goes to "Estimating Resources using PlanAhead".
The error also occurs when I start the Compile Server manually before starting the compilation.
I attached the compile log (the 3 files are all I get in addition to the source vhdl files).

  • 3.6.26 is working on my OSX 10.4.11 PPC, but it keeps asking me to download the most current version for my system... why?

I've dowloaded and updated 3.6.26, which Firefox stated was the most current version, but when I restart the browser, it then states I'm NOT running the most current version for my system... why?
I'm running a Mac PPC G4 10.4.11 Thanks for any assistance you can provide :)

Thanks for the Reply Alice... :) The message is when I restart Firefox, which activates the update, and the 'thanks' page on Firefox's site (not Google)... So, I'm curious why it gives me my most current update, then tells me that there might be a more current version for my system... very strange! Anyway, I'm definitely sticking with 3.6.26, unless I get info that suggests there's a .27 or .28 flying around that may be useful... I will definitely NOT go to 9 or 10.... :)

Things that i downloading the first time it not working now why is that

    Hi there,
I would restart your device and pc, it could also be a faulty USB connector.
    Try reinstalling iTunes.
You could also try running iTunes as an administrator (Windows), you can do this by right clicking on the icon and clicking "Run as administrator".
If this still continues, then take your device to an Apple retail store.
    Hope this helps!

  • First Compiling Application error message

I'm trying to execute my first compile and didn't succeed, I need advice on how to solve the problem. I'm following instructions in Wells' "J2ME Programming" book. I've installed my JDK, MIDP 1.0, CLDC, set up new Paths, Crosspaths, and preverified successfully. I copied source code from the book and saved it in a file per book instructions. I opened a shell and entered this directory: cd\j2me\projects\hello
I tried to compile by entering: javac -target 1.1 -bootclasspath %MIDP_HOME%\classes Hello.java
    The message I got was:
Hello.java:12:class HelloToolkit is public, should be declared in a file named HelloToolkit.java
public class HelloToolkit extends javax.micro edition.midlet.midlet
    error loading class Hello.
I'm a beginner and need help, any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you very much, problem solved. The problem was in the code - Wells incorrectly wrote HelloToolkit instead of Hello.
    Thanks again.

  • First order control system for proportional valves

I am working on a proportional valve control program. We have four gas lines and it is desired to send four different gases through a combustion chamber sequentially. The close time for each valve is determined by the pressure measurement inside the combustion chamber. For instance, firstly, we let the nitrogen gas flows to the chamber, and the pressure inside the of it reaches 5 bars, we closed the nitrogen valve, and open the argon gas valve, and hold it opened until the pressure is reached at 15 bars inside the chamber and so on.
I was thinking on utilizing PID for control of these valves, however, one author from my institute said that you can not do this with a PID program, you can do that with a  first order control system. Because in the system,  it is not allowable to gases exceed their set points (set pressure values). PID controls the system with osilations around set point and after it provides the set value, but in this case, we are not allowed to exceed the set point (we may reach the set point slowly and asymptotically, but never exceed it).
I have not background on controlling hence I need your help. Could I do that with Labview? Is there a first order system control module in Control & Simulation Toolkit? And also where can I find examples, tutorials, etc. -if there are- about first order system controlling? Thanks in advance.
    Egemen

what you are trying to do can be done with PID, but you would need to tune it to avoid overshot. But, most importantly, the use of the closed-loop PID will guarantee that your system will follow the setpoint, which can be a ramp going from the 0 to 100 % of the valve. The ramp on setpoint is a typical control technique to avoid overshoot of the system.
Now, if you look in the PID palette under Control and Simulation, you will see the function called "Lead-Lag". This function is a 'first order' system and you can define a pole and a zero for your system. If your objective is just make the change smooth, you can make the Lead-Lag to work as a "Lag" (make the lead zero) and apply to your system. here is an example:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\examples\control\PID\Simulation - Lead-Lag.vi
If you need something more complicated than Lead-Lag, than I would you advice to use the LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module. There you can really develop more advanced controllers, like higher order filters or Model Predictive Control. But this also requires you to have a better knowledge of control theory...
