First day troubles/concerns.

Had BT infinity (2) installed earlier this morning.
Had an estimated speed of 21.5 mbs. When the engineer originally fired everything up it was sitting at 15 mbps (plugging into an extension socket). He then swapped the master socket over to the one upstairs, and it was at 20 mbps. (I live 1 KM from my cabnet, and have **bleep**ty aluminium cables in my house apparantly (thank mr builders) so hitting my approx speeds was great).
Plugged the phones ports back into the wall, removed the old adsl filters and he was done!
I was happy with that, everything was grande.
20 seconds after leaving the router (homehub 4) was orange light power light, with a flashing red light underneath it. No internet access obviously. Mean while the modem lights were all ok (dsl/lan/power green).
I reset the router and after 10 mins of messing around with it the internet came back up. Now im at 3.65 MBPS down and 2 Up. Been sat at that speed for a while. The internet has gone down twice (again modem lights stay on, dsl light is green) router just goes orange steady power light, with no other lights or orange steady power light and flashing red light, like above).
I reset the modem that bought the internet back up, and again its at 3.5 mbps down, 2 up.
I checked with BT and they said its not suppose to be active till midnight.
Am I just being impatient? Should I actually see gains after midnight.
Any advise would be great.

Was fine for 1-2 hours but back down to an 8x IP and 2.5 Mbps speed connection. Quite confusing!

Was at 25 and 20 when 1st tested with engineer present.
then down to what it currently is shortly after he left.
Then back up 20.5/19.1 (after a few dc's).
Disconnected and sat at 15 coming into the house and 3 at the computer
Now its at the above posted figures.
Quite confusing and I guess is more than just "settling in period".

I would guess that there's an SQLException being thrown, probably due to your database not liking the toString() output of Timestamp. Your code is eating SQLExceptions, though, so you'll never see the error.
You've gone to the trouble of creating Timestamp objects, use them appropriately:ps = con.prepareStatement("select * from events where startDate >= ? and startDate <= ? order by startTime");
ps.setTimestamp(1, startDate);
ps.setTimestamp(2, endDate);
rs = ps.executeQuery();

Congratulations on your new iPad mini! I would be concerned too if my iPad was unexpectedly powering off. I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this. I recommend following the steps below (these steps refer to an iPhone, but the steps also are relevant for an iPad):
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

Not getting battery to last as long as it did on first day of use

After hearing about all the battery problems people are having I have been concerned about the life of my battery. Ive been comparing how long my battery lasts now, to when I used it the first day. On the first battery cycle I used the phone heavely for 9 - 10 hours.
Now Ive been only getting about 6 hours of heavy use (and yes i have been charging the phone correctly seeing the "glow" and the plug in the battery at the top of the screem.)As of right now my battery is about 80% full with 2 hours, 5 min use and standby 10 hours, 16 min. Are those numbers resonable? I was wondering if there are any ways of getting my battery to last as long as it did on my first use.

From my experience I have noticed the battery life getting better over time. I did a restore and that did not seem to change the battery life much. I was getting about 4-5 hours with heavy web and e-mail usage. I noticed the most noticeable change when I switched from using edge to wi-fi when possible, and turning wi-fi off when I did not need it. Now I am getting 5-6 hours of heavy usage with about 30-40% battery left over, and that is with the same amount of web and e-mail usage. And one more thing, I was using a soft case on the iPhone, and seemed to generate more heat, which I believe was shortening the battery life. I removed the case and it seems to be cooler during heavy usage. I know this was not a scientific experiment, but it may have been causing some of my battery issues.
The Edge network seems to be the major culprit when it come to battery life.

HT2513 Changing First Day of the week shown in week view in iCal

How do you change the week view of iCal from Sun to Mon. I have done it beofre ios 6. How does one do this since ios 6?
I have iCal on iMac as Monday as first day showing in week view but I also want it to show on iPad the same way.
Any information on this would be great.

Calendar.app not showing First Day of Week selected in iCal

I have selected Monday as the first day of the week in iCal. After syncing, Calendar.app on my iPhone 4 does not show Monday as first day of week. My original iPhone 2G (3.1.3, jailbroken) does show the correct start day, Monday.)
I do not need assistance with my iPhone 2G. I need a solution for my iPhone 4.
How do I get my iPhone 4 to be in sync with my other calendars?

That's a real pain. I'm in Australia and the regional settings have Monday as the first week, which throws me out because all my calendars and even settings in iCal have Sunday as the first day of the week (which is what it's supposed to be). To get what I want, I have to set my country as New Zealand, and this messes up my phone number formats (closest to Australia than any of the others that start the week correctly though). It should be an option in the settings!

On my iPad 3, how do I make calendar items lasting more than one day appear as such on the monthly view of my calendar? Right now only the first day of the item appears.

On iPad 3, all of my calendar items lasting more than one day do not appear correctly when looking at the monthly view of the calendar; only the first day of the appointment appears. For example, if I am taking a vacation for 4 days, only the first day of the vacation is marked on the calendar, instead of being listed on all 4 days. When I look at the weekly view, however, it is correct and is listed on all 4 days. The problem here of course is that at a glance, there is no way to look at my monthly schedule. On my iPhone, everything is correct, regardless of month or week view, so clearly this is an iPad problem I guess? Please advise on how this can be corrected. Thank you!

Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

Multi-day events only showing up on first day of event in year view

There are several things about iCal that I find annoying (makes me miss my old Palm PDA sometimes), such as being able to set my own default meeting times, meetings being defaulted to all-day, no way to connect a contact to the event without having to invite them to join (my old Palm did this and it was a very useful tool). Each of these has many discussions already on these topics with a solution (except adding a contact to an event), such as simply typing in the meeting time when you setup the event.
However, I can't find a discussion on the following question, and therefore no solution. Hope someone out there knows the answer:
Why do Multi-day events only show up on the first day of the event in year view, and is there a way to change it?

Perhaps I'm not setting up my events as you are but I see a color for each day of my multi-day event.
My steps:
1. Add a multi-day event to iCal:
2. Switch to Year view and observe the matching date range (26th - 29th):
Suggestions:
Make sure you have all your updates installed (Apple > Software Update).
Toggle the "all day" check box for the events in question and see if that makes the events show up in Year view.
If that doesn't help, please provide a screen shot of the edit window of the event in question so we can see how you have it configured:

ABAP for the first day of the month

Hello BW users,
I have a scenario which uses an ODS with cumulative key figures with Addition update type. An infocube gets data from ODS by start routine in cube's update rule. I update this ODS first then infocube. All the loads are Full and are loaded daily. This is a snapshot scenario and I load the ods on itself then load from another infocube let's say Cube1. After successful load, I update infocube on itself again then update from the same infocube, Cube1, as in ODS. Infocube load sequence is same as ODS. In the scenario ODS and infocube are wanted to be updated daily. Therefore, I have to delete the ODS's (since it is addition update type) and infocube's overlapping data in the process chain that automates the load. At this point I need two things:
1- ABAP program that is going to give me the first day of each month.
2- ABAP program that is going to delete the overlapping data in ODS when I load it daily. Since I can do that for infocube in process chain with standard process type of Delete overlapping requests from infocube I need it only for ODS. Because there is no standard process type to delete overlapping requests in ODS (since its update type is Addition).

First Day of Week

Hi Guys,
In a class I have an object which shows the date when a transaction was triggered and another object which gives the week number in the format wwyyyy.
I want to create a variable in the report which will give me the starting day for that particular week i.e the date that was there on Monday of that particular week.
It can be easily done by making changes in the Universe but I want to do it in the report as this is a one of report.

I have devised a method for the below and we can easily find out the week numbers of the month as below:
Week Numb:
=Week([WO's Last Month ].[Submit Date])
First Day of the Month:
=Week(RelativeDate(LastDayOfMonth(RelativeDate(LastDayOfMonth(CurrentDate());-65));1))
Week Numb of the Month:
=Concatenation("Week : ";([Week Numb - WO's Last Month]-[Last Day - WO's Last Month])+1)

I want to change the first day of week from Monday to Sunday in Webdynpro ABAP screen's default calendar help. I implemented BADI CALENDAR_DEFINITION to change the first day of week, it worked for SAP GUI calendar help but not working for WebDynpro ABAP screen.

Try using the data type TVDIR-GENDATE for date field. It will populate serach help Calendar and it should trigger the BADI from web dynpro also.

First day of week in Clock app - Alarm

I changed the first day of week to Monday in Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Start Week On. However, it still shows Sunday as the first day in Clock -> Alarm -> Repeat -> Weekdays. How can I set Monday in the Clock app? Thanks.

"firstDayOfWeek", but I now finally found out it is much easier than that.
Solution:
Find the CssResources_xx.properties file (where xx is the language you
want to change for) in the
tomcat\4\webapps\gw\WEB-INF\classes\com\novell\webaccess\templates\css
directory.
Look for Calendar.Week.startDay=1 and change that to 2 for Monday. Do
this for all language properties files you need.
Stop and start tomcat and voil*.

First Day of Week in Data Entry Profile

Does anyone know if there is a standard SAP RFC i can use in my Web Dynpro application to get the First Day of Week entry in a user's Data Entry Profile?

Hello Kevin,
Function Module returns the System Date from that SAP System(R/3). I have checked this BAPI with '200743 - current week' GET_WEEK_INFO_BASED_ON_DATE, it returns proper data like Start Date and End Date.
I Assume, you are using this in your Java WD. You can write your own function for this. This will return the day of the week.
Calendar xmas = new GregorianCalendar(2007, Calendar.SEPTEMBER, 23);
int dayOfWeek = xmas.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_WEEK);
wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("Day : "+dayOfWeek);
Note : - week starts with 0 . 0 - Monday 6 -Saturday.

Hi,
after upgrading from GW8.02 to GW2012SP1 the first day of week in WebAcc and CalPub is Sunday again. Under GW8.02 I had configured the first day as Monday (in a configuration file) Unfortunately I don't remember which file it was?
Any ideas?
