I am trying to install OBIEE 11g but stuck with one strange problem.
Please somebody let me know that the

Hi User,
Have you checked if the complete file has been downloaded? If yes, I suggest you to download again and try...I don't think its winrar or winzip problem. But anyway, if you solve this issue, please let us know the what you did it.

Selecting the first file from a group of opened files in Photoshop

Hi, I've been digitizing microfiche with 200 or so pages photographed onto one image file, laid out in a grid pattern. I've been using actions in Photoshop to cut out one page, create a new file in Photoshop from that page, then return to the first, master file and do it again with the next page in the series. So when it is complete I have each individual page as an individual image file which I then save with a batch process. I've been doing this for a while and have managed to make it work but I always run into the problem, when creating this action again, of getting Photoshop to select that first master file each time instead of selecting just the previous file. I know I can get it to select the previous file, or the previous file -1, -2, -3, etc. I've somehow been able to get this to work in the past by creating an action that selects a large enough group back, like previous file -19 or something, and through some bug or sheer luck it has worked and will always select that first file. But it doesn't always work and it always takes some frustration to luck into it when it does. Now I can't seem to get it to work at all. Is there a straightforward way I can simply tell it to select the first file everytime? If not, does anyone know how or why the method I used previously sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, and how I can make it work again? I'm using PS CS5 in Windows 7. Thanks!

Just put this code on a file and put that 'namedfile.jsx' inside the scripts folder on photoshop.
Open or re-open photoshop to load the script and create an action linked to a shortcut selected by you and save this script going to File>Scripts>namedfile.jsx
It is just to press the shortcut key and the active image go back to the image opened before.
When it is the first one it runs the script the same but it remains there.
Here is the script:

I'm building an interactive DVD that runs from Mac/PC
projectors.
The final menu on this disc links to multiple image files on
the disc that are intended to be downloaded to the user's desktop.
I've used the getURL to link to these images from the menu
buttons, but this technique only seems to work on PC (aside from an
annoying empty browser window that pops up along with the download
prompt).
The Mac (OSX) attempts to locate the images from the web, and
not from the disc.
Anyone know of a script or command other than "getURL" that
will allow the user to "Download File" or "Save File As"?

I click my button, the dialogue box opens, I click save, but
nothing downloads??
I've checked everything - file paths, code - it's all as
meant to be.
But my files just never download?

How can I save files from disc recovery mode?

My Imac wont boot - disc recovery wants me to save files before reloading OSX - how can I save them?. I have a new external hard drive to plug in.
I have tried safe start and resetting PRAM, neither work . I am in disc recovery mode and disc repair cannot fix my hard drive and is telling me to back up my files. How can I do this from this situation?

Is it possible to read DDP formatted files from disc?

I need to check some layers in a master file.
I know I can read from DLT tape but can I read in a similar way from these files?

there are special programs, the name escapes me, that are used to analyze the files for replication. I've never used them. That was always left to the replicator. My guess, and it is a guess, is that if you've rendered the DDP files to your drive then you could read them the same way. DLT is just a storage/transport medium anyway.

Transferring image files from disc or hard drive back to iphoto

i have backed up older images to both an external firewire hard drive and to DVD. now i want to transfer some photos back to my laptop. but all i get are 4K alias'. how do i get the files back to my computer?
i also have an iphoto library back up on a hard drive and when i go track down that folder, nothing comes up. when it try to open it, it just opens iPhoto on my laptop, but i see none of the images.

Do you have the actual files? How was this disk created? Using iPhoto? Using The Finder? Using Something Else?
To switch between Libraries hold down the option (or alt) key when launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'.

Recovery Manager is failing to read backup files from disc

Operating System:

I used the HP Recovery Manager (F11) to backup my files instead of using the Windows backup. The HP Recovery Manager back uped my files on 2 dvd discs. I then restored my laptop to factory settings. When I go to restore my files, it will only go to 40% and then ask me to insert backup DISC 2. When I insert the disc, it fails to read it. The disc pops out and I keep getting a request to insert DISC 2. What is going on?

I have a related but different issue with file back-up using HP recovery manager.
I have a Pavilion g7-1070us laptop that failed to start and simply displays a blue-screen with a blinking cursor (no error message). I could NOT get into safe-mode by hitting F8, but was able to activate the “HP recovery manager” by hitting F11. I was trying to back-up my files before triggering the system restore. It asked me what types of files to back-up, then scanned the computer for these files and was finalizing the files for back-up; then suddenly an error message showed up saying something like "No storage device detected. Make sure the removable disc drive is connected to computer". But I have both a DVD sitting in the optical drive and a USB drive attached!!!!!! Apparently the recovery manager doesn’t see them?
Can someone throw me a life-saver here? If I cannot recover my files, I cannot proceed with the system restore and I am forever stuck here!!!!!!
Please help!!!! Much appreciated!!

We do a backup of the our BI production server every night (OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2 BI1)
The process we follow is:
1. Stop BI Services
2. Weblogic (incluedes Node Manager, Weblogic and others)
After every stop of weblogic, there is a file get created under WLS_Home/instances/instance1 and the file is like core.xxxxx ( e.g. core_31176, core_19440).
My questions regarding these files are:
1. What is the use of these files?
2. Can I delete them (Depends on the answer of the above question)?
3. Is it possible to control not to create these files (if they are not useful)?

It sounds like it is safe to remove those file's unless you need to debug any weblogic issues.

LR 1.4.1 will not import from disc anymore

I tried to import some jpeg files from disc, chose the file destination etc. settings as usual in the Import panel, but nothing was imported. I have tried again but now cannot even get the import settings panel - I choose the pictures, and just get a blank Lightroom Library screen showing "no photos in selected item". I've tried re-booting the computer (which is running Vista Home Premium SP1) but still cannot import photos. Is there a limit on catalog size causing this? Anything else that may have caused it? Bottom line - how do I fix it?

No, the XMP metadata thread isn't relevant - my problem there was a read only flag, and these photos don't have that.
I've tried moving the photos to the desktop and importing from there, but to no avail. Not sure what you mean by "inspect"? I don't have any problem viewing these photos in Windows. They're just a few snaps I uploaded from my compact camera - I've always been able to import such photos before.
I think it must be one of the settings I put in the "Import" panel on my first attempt. I now can't get it to come up, so am unable to check or change anything. Is there a way to set the Import settings (destination etc) back to defaults?

Issue while sending a zipped file from ABAP to JAVA layer

I have a requirement wherein i have to zip a xml file in abap, convert it to base64 encoded string and send it to JAVA layer.
I'm using the class CL_ABAP_ZIP for zipping the xml string and FM "SCMS_BASE64_ENCODE_STR" to convert the zipped data to base64 encoded string.
But on the JAVA layer we get an exception while unzipping this data.
Has anybody come across a similar situtation.

Applescript to email files from multiple folders

I have a dictaphone that stores recordings in 5 folders. When I connect the dictaphone, it downloads all recordings to respective Folders A through to E. I need the script/s to check each folder for files and automatically email them off then move them to a sent folder. Each folder can contain one or more recordings.
What I find with my script below is that when I apply it to each folder, one of two things will happen. Either all the files from one folder will get sent and moved or the first file from each folder gets sent and moved. Everything else stays where it is.
I'm beginning to think the trigger "on adding folder items" might not be the best way to achieve this. Perhaps I should link it to checking for the dictaphone being plugged in then scan all subfolders for files.

Problems emptying RAW files from Recycle Bin

I am not sure, but think my problem is connected with Lightroom 1.4.1
When I delete RAW files from disc via Lightroom, they go into the Recycle Bin. However, I am unable to delete them from the bin without using an unlocker program. This is because when I choose to delete individual RAW files from the bin (or choose completely empty bin)I get a message saying that file Dq(number) cannot be deleted as it may be in use by another program. But no other program is open.
I think this only applies to RAW files (Canon CR2) where I have created an editable file in Photoshop CS3. I am fed up with the tedious task of removing each individual Dq/CR2 file from the Recycle bin (the unlocker program will not let me batch delete) and suspect a workaround involving removing the CR2 files from the Lightroom catalogue and then deleting them from their source folder might work.
However, this semms a clumsy way of having to do thistask.
Has anyone else come across this please and does anyone have an elegant solution? Oh, the files concerned are all on an external hard disc, but I cannot see why this should affect things.

Hi, Andrew. I do not have an external HD, so I am not sure if this is related. LR 1.4's seems to do some odd things with files that it sees as Read Only, such as from a CD, DVD, or external drive. Maybe it has something to do with this. Also, can you exit LR, then dumb Recycle Bin normally?

How do I import audio files from itunes to my project?

I know this could be very easy, I've imported music files from disc to projects before, but they keep going off line. So I want to find out an easier/better process to import music files from itunes into my FCP projects.

To get music into FCP, it needs to be an AIFF file at 48khz, 16 bit stereo. So if you want a song from a CD, you go into the iTunes Preferences and set this up under the IMPORTING tab:
File > preferences > importing > import using - AIFF encoder > Setting - Custom
Sample Rate - 48.000 kHz
Sample size - 16 bit
Channels - Stereo
If you have an mp3 that you want to use, then you can convert it thru iTunes as well.
If the piece of music you want to use is something you purchased thru iTunes, I'm afraid I can't help you there. There are copywrite issues that prevent files from being converted into the format that FCP can recognize.

MacBook sleeps right after resuming from disc

Hi All,
My MacBook Pro (late 2012 MBP 13" i7) has been acting up since I got it but it's finally annoyed me enough to post a question to the forum. The problem is as follows:
Mac goes into safe sleep mode
Battery runs out of power
I connect the external power supply and leave it a minute or two
When the Mac resumes it has to load the hibernation file from disc
There is a long pause after the loading bar fills
The Mac then goes straight into sleep mode
Once the hard disc has spun down I can press any key to restart the computer. Although the memory is still powered, and so can resume immediately, the Mac still takes one to two minutes to become responsive enough to let me type in my password to get back to the desktop.
Why I got my MacBook Pro I migrated all my data, programs and settings from my old MacBook. I had a suspicion that I may have brought across an incompatible OS extension or something but I've not been able to find any likely suspects.
Any help/advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Curious - Is this when the adapter is plugged in or only when it's on battery? Either way, you might take a look at resetting the SMC (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964?viewlocale=en_US)

Having a prob importing a large file from a sony DR 60 external drive via log a transfer in FCP this is the first time this has happened have the sony plug. HDisc compatibility is sorted as the first 2 short clips are imported. Any advice will be welcome
