My ipod touch says it is disabled and to connect to itunes, but it won't let me. It is froze....what can I do?
Connect in recovery mode to restore, explained in this article: iOS: Unable to update or restore
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

Ipod touch says it is disabled and connect to iTunes
My daughters Ipod Touch was dead and needed recharged. We recharged and when we turned it on it says Ipod disabled must connect to iTunes. We did this and nothing happened.
THe Ipod Touch is locked up on that screen.
Help..........DirkRestore, if iTunes will let you. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

My ipod touch does not restore properly and comes up with an unknown error (9). What do I do? I have tried restoring it a few times and it keeps coming up with this error. Yet on Itune on my computer, it tells me that the ipod software is up to date. ipod screen is just showing the itune logo and a usb connector.
Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

Problem with my Ipod 4...always hanging and not able to surf anything ???what should I do??
- If Safari is having problems, go to Settings>Safari and delete cookies, history and cache
- Also try the following one at a time:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod. -
I updated my first generation iPad to version 5.1.1 and won't go past the setup screen that asks if I want to use the iPad locator. I can go back but can't get any further
I just updated my original iPad 32 GB WiFi to iOS 5.1 about fifteen minutes ago. But I did it with the system restore feature in iTunes. So it wiped out everything on my iPad. But it did work. Then I restored an earlier backup and all went fine. Maybe you could try backing up your iPad and then using Restore to get it back to factory settings to see what happens.
