Hi there,
I'm hugely tempted to lose my temper but there is a sick kind of bright side to this. After months of sidestepping posting THE SAME thing everyone else has and doing the hard work of trawling through past threads to fix my laptop one issue at a time, I finally have a problem I haven't seen before under these circumstances i.e. meltdown.
I started witht the same 'sometimes I have sound, sometimes I don't' issues everyone with Beats Audio got, managed to install Microsoft HD Audio Device drivers which have sidestepped the issue, but the system has never been quite right. The other symptoms include a WiFi Adaptor that flicks in and out, a Network driver that turns itself on and off and recently, the failure to shut down, resulting in the need to just press the power button. Having done this three or four times in the past couple of days and somehow tracing the problem to the fact that the current Audio Driver is overloading or leaking into the CPU on start-up and shutdown through one of the audio devices running in the background due to the absence of special features or audio enhancements or something(I think, and I'm afraid I can't remember which one), I was attempting to fix the problem when I recieved a Skype phone call and then, bham!, the whole system froze and broke down. Now when I turn it on it starts up okay up to the point where it tries to find a wireless connection and then total fails- it can't even bring up recovery systems via ctrl-alt-del. I am at the end of my tether, but also, unfortunately, my warranty. Is a fix-it guy the only answer or are there any bright sparks out there who would like to step in?
Basically, the system is now fundamentally unstable due to the absence of Beats Audio, right? Or am I wrong? How can I gain some type of stability? I look back upon a time when I was considering reverting to an old version of BIOS but never did. Would that help? How do I do it? More, to the point how do I get the **bleep** thing functioning again? Even Safe Mode won't boot up and run correctly!
Feel free to point me to whichever post I have missed where this issue was solved for another person, I'd be more than happy to read it.

I understand that you are having an issue with the error “Computer was unable to load Recovery”. The best steps to start of with would be 'Computer Does not Start (Windows 7, Vista, XP)'. Follow through all the steps in order as they will help narrow down the cause of the issue.

When using Skype my IPad sounds like ocean. This is not a problem when I am on FaceTime or using other apps with sound. Recently updated to newest IOS 7. First there was no sound for Kype and found that had to turn microphone sound on.

When using Skype my IPad 2 now sounds like the ocean and I can barely here my contact. This happened recently after IOS7 update. I did turn the microphone on for Skype as it was required after update. Now my sound is terrible but only a problem when using Skype video call. It is okay for FaceTime.

I am not sure what all changed when reset was applied to settings --- assume it defaults back to basic settings. I have no idea what I had customized, so will slowly figure out. I have noticed several things. So far I had to add back my wallpaper and reenter password to get back on my wi-fi.
At least SKYPE is now audible.

Glitchy palm pre, first it was the calendar now it is email

My palm pre is getting glitchier by the day. First the calendar will not sync correctly, I keep deleting the gmail account and reloading it only to have the Palm completely ignore deleted events on the gmail calendar but insisting on having them on the Palm Pre, conversely, events that have been rescheduled on the Palm get removed the next time I check. I can use my computer to keep track of my calendar events (making the Palm calendar completely useless) but now when I open my email account, at times when I tap on an email, it blinks open and then the palm deletes it before I can read it and decide if I want to delete the message. Since the device is getting increasingly unreliable, I guess I wouldn't mind having it delete messages against my will, except it turns out that when they are deleted on my palm, I can't access them on my computer email account.
Is there a way to configure the palm so even when the email is deleted, it stays on the server of my email account? It's really insulting to think that the device is now deleting my emails without my consent.

How to fix left speaker to work on iphone 4 and headphone jack, it has caused my Beats headphones and another pair to become extremely low. first it was the left ear now both?

I first had a problem with the left speaker not working on the bottom of the phone, then when using heeadphones the left er began to lose nearly all volume and now both are damaged. this is permanent damage not caused by anything other than the phone and has already made 2 seperate pairs of Beats By Dre nearly useless. when i use the headphones in any other device the damage still exists also, the iphone vibrates randomly with 1 vibration not caused by any apps or notifications at all. does apple repair this for free?

The "left speaker" on the bottom of the phone is not a speaker. It is a microphone. There is only one speaker on the bottom of the phone.

Maybe you have muted your iPad. The button above the volume up and down on the upper right hand side can either be programmed to Mute or Lock Orientation. See if you have it programmed to Mute.
Also check control center. On your home page, swipe up from the bottom of your iPad screen and control center opens. There's a sound icon in a circle, which could be on. Tap it to see if you're muted there.

The sound was lost suddenly while listening to a pre-aired program on National Public Radio that I accessed from a link from an email from my sister. Everything sounded fine for the first 10 minutes then the sound from the 4S iphone speakers just stopped.

I lost the speaker sound suddenly while listening to a previously aired radio program. Cannot hear any sounds on my Apple 4S iPhone since it happened. Cannot even hear Siri anymore. Can only hear any sound at all using my ear buds. No speaker sound whatsoever. Any suggestions? I've already restored the whole system using iCloud as my backup. I've also rebooted the phone several times. The sound functions well using headphones (which i was not using when the speaker sound all of a sudden stopped working in the middle of the program). I tried cleaning any debris from the speaker and other crevices using a toothbrush and have tried blowing any debris out too. I pressed up on the charging dock using a pen and tapped on the speaker side to dislodge any debris. I even stuck my phone in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer as someone suggested. Any other ideas? I even deleted an app to free up some space. Any other suggestions please?

Is the volume muted? Click on the volume icon in the system tray to see if it shows as muted. If that's the case, I know of a workaround to fix this because if you unmute the speakers now, the condition will come back when you reboot your computer. I don't know the exact steps off the top of my head at the moment as I'm not in front of my machine. Check this first and reply if muting was the problem and I will detail the steps needed to fix the problem.

Assuming you're running iPhoto 9 or later do the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

I tried exporting my project numerous times, but the first half of my exported movie is all black, with the sound. Can I get some help?

So I decided to a class project, and found this supposedly great app.
I imported all the pictures, recorded the voices, and inserted the soundtrack via iMovie.
Then, once I clicked export and looked at the result, the first half of the product was just all black, with the sound
About a minute within the project (2 minutes total), than the images start appearing.
So basically, in the final product, the first half of my inserted pictures are all just gone, and is replaced with a black screen.
Did anybody else encounter this issue?

In that one I suggested updating to OS X 10.7.3. It fixes a lot of problems, admittedly none of yours specifically.
I understand your frustration but you should decide upon one thread or another. Since this one has more interest I suggest you stick with this one. Tracking two of them will only add to your headaches.

All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.

I have a iPhone 3GS and my husband has the iPhone 4 , both phones with updated current . We added iMessage to them at first it was great, now I don't get half the texts my husbands send and when I send him a text message it will come up from my email???

We added iMessage the them both and at first it was great, the messages appear in the text messages under the phone contacts and when I send a text message it will either be a green message or a blue one for (iMessage) depending on the signal. Now when my husband sends a text message to me I don't get them all or some days none. When I send him a text message he gets them from my email address. I cannot send him a standard text anymore my phone only wants to iMessage, so if the signal is not right it just sits there undelivered???

You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.
