Is this is the way you design an USB Cable?
it got damaged near the lightning connector, i bought a new genuine cable again 2 months before.
Again it got damaged in the same place.
P.S: Learn from school boys how to design an USB cable which can sustain for years.

I had one I kept accidentally slamming in a desk drawer. Never seemed to do it any harm. Cable, AV, Component

Earphones with Remote and Mic-US/L.A./Europe/Asia

Power Adapter w/ Plug, Ultra Compact, USB, iPhone/iPod-CAN
Power Adapter, USB, iPhone/iPod, 45x45-CAN
There is the power adapter and the headphone, but I don't see an option for USB cable. Any idea?

TS1538 followed all the steps 1 thru 5 tried another usb cable, and on a 2nd PC

I can NOT believe getting Albums/Songs from our CD on to our cell phones could be this dificult -

I add two CD via my CD drive to Itunes on my PC

Here is an update - I tried using wife's windows 7 PC to access/download albums on my Iphone 5 - no luck.
Finally realized that rather than follow steps outlined in TS1538: and elsewhere of sync'ing the Iphone 5 via the File - Device - Sync - "Robroy's Iphone" menu option
If I clicked on the Iphone button on the right side of the control bar then it showed all the details about the Iphone ( not sure if updating to the latest version of Itunes on my Windows 8 laptop and IOS 7.1 on my Iphone 5 helped)
so when I tried to sync now with the Iphone details displayed and I could select the music to sync and when I clicked on the Sync button I finially ggot to see the errror message that was appearently hidden on earlier attempts where it just appearred nothing happened :
the error was - my Iphone was sync'ed to our older laptop where the display burned out - and the Iphone was authorized to the old laptop Itunes library - it said I could wipe out old music and sync the two albums I had the Itunes on my new laptop read in off the CD/DVD player and add to its new library.
So I'll see if I can export the albums from the old laptop and import them into the new laptop's Itunes - if that doesn't work I'll feed the CDs into the new laptop's Itunes library - probably should have done that in the beginning and it would have saved me time!

There are plenty of USB3 cables available, and USB3 cables are compatible with USB2, USB1.1 and USB1.

Well first of all, you must speak in basic english...I have a basic Iphone 3....which I use to have Skpye on it..after restoreing it, it will not allow me to add Skype to it now......any ideas? the Software is always updated but not to the IOS.4.4 only IOS.4.2.1

The latest version of Skype will not work on such an old version of iOS. I believe it needs 4.3, which you cannot get on your iPhone 3G. Restore to a backup that was done while you still had Skype on the iPhone.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

How do i use USB 2.0 with an iBook G3?

I have a WD external hard drive that operates through USB 2.0 and want to use it with my iBook G3. I thought this wasn't possible since it has the old USB ports, but saw the post 28081 which I think says it is. It said you could use the old USB ports with a 2.0 drive. Should I be able to connect it directly (not mounting on my computer) or do I need some type of USB converter? Is there such a converter available? Thanks for any help!

Hi, Kate. Welcome to Apple Discussions.
How successful using a USB 2.0 drive with the iBook's USB 1.1 ports depends on how you are wanting to use the external drive. You can use it for storing or archiving data, but data transfer will be very slow.
A better option with the iBook is a FireWire external drive (which connects through the FireWire port). It's much, much faster and allows you to make a complete bootable clone backup from your hard drive.
