First time connecting to Itunes saying cannot be used required software not
Just acquired ITouch 8GB, when first turning on after charging only shows the Itunes picture and the cord, after downloading Itunes 7.7 and connecting Ipod error message, This Ipod cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the Itunes installer to remove them install Itunes again. I have tried everything I have seen online to correct this. I have removed the Itunes software and anything that has to do with it and reinstalled over 5 times and still nothing. I have no clue what to do. Help please!!! Also I am fairly computer illiterate
I finally had success!! I saw in another forum a post where the person had the same problem and removed QuickTime and then iTunes, restarted, and then re-installed iTunes. This person said it worked. So, I took it a step more and did this:
1-Uninstalled QuickTime
2-Uninstalled Apple Moble Device Manager
3-Uninstalled Apple Software Update Manager
4-Uninstalled iTunes
5-Restarted Computer
6-Installed iTunes
7-Restarted Computer
After that, all is well. You might not need to do all that, but that is what worked for me on my Windows 8 machine after the last iTunes update.

This problem just started after the last update to the latest iTunes for Windows. When connecting to the computer, iTunes shows a popup that says:
"This iPod cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes."
I've ran the installer and done that several times. I've rest both iPod and iPad, but I still get the above error when trying to connect.

Ive reset full iPad numerous times, connected to itunes on pc and downloaded newest software and still having the same problems!! Ive already been to the apple store the 1st time this happened and was told it just needed the new software uploaded, but 1 week later the same thing started happening again. I live about 10 miles from an apple store and its right in the town center so a nightmare for parking. Cant be bothered with the hassle of going all the way there when there not much help!

Try quitting all apps and restart your iPad. Maybe you are running out of memory on the iPad. It's worth a try.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or try a reset,
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
I have just updated iTunes to latest version and am connected to internet. Can anybody shed any light on this one?

Please help me. My YouTube app will not work. Every time I open it says 'cannot connect to youtube'. I have searched for help and tried resetting my settings and rebooting my ipad2 but nothing has solved the issue.
Yes, I am connected to the Internet through my wifi. Everything is working fine with the e eption of youtube. I have reset all Internet settings and have tried synching to iTunes followed by rebooting. This is all the advice I have found although none of it has been helpful.

My ipad is disabled and it tells me to connect with itunes. i cannot connect to itunes bc it says i need to enter my passcode. the ipad is locked up. how do i correct this?
If you do not have the password, you can only do a restore-resetting the iPad to factory condition.

Got an (unlocked) iphone 4s from US and tried activating in India but it throws an error saying 'unable to activate bcos the activation server cannot be reached' ..I tried connecting to itunes through my laptop but it does not detect my iphone..pls help

As kb1951 states, unless this phone was purchased directly from Apple, it is not officially unlocked. In the US, only Apple sells officially unlocked iPhones. The message you got generally means your phone was hacked to unlock it...jailbroken...Apple's servers have detected such & are preventing your phone from activating...there's nothing wrong with the activation servers.
You'll need a sim card from the carrier your phone is locked to in order to activate it. If you don't know what carrier, you'll have to call AppleCare in the US to determine this info. Be aware, US carriers will not authorize official unlocking unless you are a customer that used the phone on their network. Thus, there is most likely no way for you to get this phone officially unlocked.

I tried to install in my Sony Vaio Laptop - Model Name SVF15218SGW Serial No 54****************954. After installation of itunes, when i am trying to connect error message is showing as follows -

When you uninstalled iTunes, did you uninstall it by using the article below or just uninstalled iTunes? The best practice is to remove not only iTunes, but also other associating software in the order that the first article give. If that does not work, then check out the second article for more troubleshooting options for connecting your iPhone to your computer.

please help....This is my first time syncing to itunes and it it asking me to allow access, please respond on your ipad. this is my problem becuase my display not showing up so i cannot respond.
the only thing i can think of that happened was when there was a software update a few days and thats it.
Anyone know how i can get this resolved please and thank you.Try this before trying to sync. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

iPod Classic 80GB. Message reads ' iTunes library cannot be saved you do not have enough access privileges for this operation'. It says it has synced but it hasn't. Please help, I am not very tech minded.
See this article about troubleshooting the error message regarding access privelages. It may be preventing your iTunes library from being able to save/retain music you have recently imported to it, which may explain why no new content is being added to your device.

my problem is my iphone 4s is connected to wi-fi with full signal(3 bars) strength but freezes when browsing and says
"Cannot Open Page"
"Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding"
I already reset the iphone to its factory settings and erase all contents but still the browsing speed freezes or not searching at all. Sometimes it will work and fast but then the problem uccors every now and then. Iv'e been using iphone 4 for two years and I still have it and works fine compared to this IPHONE 4S.Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.

Finally - if problem still present -
Go to Settings>General>Reset
Reset the network settings - you will need to add the password of your home WiFi in your phone once more
The device should turn itself off & back on then go into Settings>Wifi and join your network -
