First two lines of each page... - Format Issue

I have a manual I am currently updating. I am unaware of how it was formatted initially but it is currently pushing the first two lines of each page all the way to the left margin. I have checked everything I know to check for the format setting
and have been unable to find anything out of the ordinary. Anyone have any idea what causes this?
I am using Word 2010

It may be possibly due to the indentation setting of your document.
To change it, choose the below option in your word file
Home => Paragraph => Indents and Spacing => Indentation => Left (0 pi)
Try if this work outs.

I have lost first two lines of tool bar, how do I retrieve?

I inadvertently deleted the first two lines of the tool bar. I have no file, edit, view, bookmarks, tools, etc. I have no way to go to the previous page or to the next page. I don't know how I deleted these important tools. Please help!

you can avoid the empty lines in your File Content Conversion by defining offset.
Under Document Offset, specify the number of lines that are to be ignored at the beginning of the document.
This enables you to skip comment lines or column names during processing. If you do not make an entry, the default value is zero lines.

Indent first two lines of paragraph?

Hello,
I want to have an indent on the first two lines of my paragraph, how do I make this happen? I doesn't seem to be possible.
The only way I know of is to manually indent the second line. But as you can imagine that's not a very efficient way if this happens over 200 hundred times
PS: I use Indesign CS 5.5

I didn't realize that the "A" in your screenshot was part of your layout (I thought it might be part of your example). Another not-so-elegant solution would be as follows: Starting with what you have…
…which are paragraphs with initial letters and tabs, create a rectangle shape with no fill or stroke, and give it some text wrap.
Select the rectangle, cut it, go to the text frame, delete the first tab and paste the rectangle inline between the letter and the first bit of the paragraph.
Now, select the inline object with the selection tool and drag it down until the text wrap causes the second line to indent.
Place the text cursor between the first bit of text (Cus, in my example) and hit the left arrow key while holding the shift key to select only the inline object. Then copy it to the clipboard. If you then use find/change to look for a tab ^t and in the replace field, click on the @ symbol to bring up the fly-out menu and select Other>Clipboard Contents, Formatted, you can insert the object in place of all of the other tabs, and it will look like this:

TS3274 Email display problem: My email only display the list of emails and a preview (first two lines of the body of the mail). If one click on the message it only shows the heading on the right hand side of the screen, but not the content.

My email only display the list of mails in my in box with a preview of the first two lines of the body of the message. When one clicks on the message to open it, only the header is displayed in the right hand side of the screen - the actual message is missing. This happens on older mail previously downloaded that use to work properly as well. Any idea how to fix this?

Suddenly my iCal monthly view has begun listing two lines for each birthday from the address book. I didn't make any changes to the preferences. How do I return to one listing per birthday?

I've noticed this as well. I think it started with 10.7.4.

Is there any way of turning off the email list from showing the first two lines of body text. I just want to see a list of senders!

I would just like to view the incoming emails as a list without having to see the first two lines, as it's harder to view and search through, and we already have the preview pane for that! Help, I can't find where to adjust it!

Page format issues

My wife has typed in 200 some pages of recipes in to a template with master pages like a cookbook formatted to 8.5 x 11" pages. Now she wants to have them landscape 5.5 x 8.5 pages. Is there a way with out changing each page individually?

You could try the 'booklet' or 'folder card' page layout options. Alternatively, you could change your printer setup to print two pages per sheet.

How to use script to get the first table row on each page?

I create a print form to display a table. I set a conditional page break on this table, so the table rows on each page could be different.
For example, there're total 50 rows in this table. On the 1st page, there're 5 rows, but on the 2nd page, there're only 2 rows, and so on...
Now I want to get some value from the 1st table row on each page. How can do that? I can refer to a table row using TableRow[n], but I don't know how to calculate 'n' in script (either FormCalc or JavaScript) for the 1st row on each page.
Any ideas?

Hi Wei,
There is an option of setting the overflow header in the pallette. You may check that out. It is basically used to have the table header to be seen in all pages, if the table is overflowing to multiple pages. You may put your first row as the overflow header.

In the report getiing two lines per each service order

when I drill down callouts on back reporting level by Component code, Reason code, and action code. I see two lines per service order. I have two records in MP for the same service order. Is there any possibility that I get only one record in report without changing the data at multi provider level?

Batch printing - page format issue

I am creating a smartform in a batch job and sending it to various printers throughout our company. The form is going to the printer but it attempts to print in the A4 (DINA4) page format. I have the smartform set to print (under the Form Attributes -> Output options tab) in Letter format though.
I am passing output_options to the smartform FM. The field that I am setting is the printer (output_options-tddest). output_options is of type ssfcompop. I would imagine that page format would be a field in that structure but I can't find it. Do you know of any other way to change the page format in a batch job via ABAP code?

The field in the ABAP code is output_options-tddest (that gets filled with the 4 character printer code) and the following:
output_options-tdimmed = 'X'. "Print immediatly
output_options-tddelete = 'X'. "Delete after printing
In the Smartform I went to the Form Atributes page and selected the page format on the output options tab. Then when I created the batch job in SM36 I added a step (an ABAP program) and assigned a printer to that step.

Font size in writing mail is too small for first two lines and then switches to 12. How do I change this to start and stay in 12.

When I want to reply to a message or just compose one, the font size is Times Roman 10 which is too small. After two lines it becomes 12. How can I change the font to start and remain Times Roman 12?

That's how it works on my iMac with OS X 10.8.1 but it refuses to change when selected on our new MacBook Air with the same OS and Apple Mail version. Is there something about the track pad that it doesn't recognize the click?

How to print column's value on each page as a header in XML Publisher

I have requirements like, there are some fields that I need to print on header level in RTF file. Output file should looks like below.

LN-4) Invoice ID     Invoice Date     Tax Code     Supplier Name     Amount
Example:

LN-3) JANUARY-2012

LN (Line Number)-1,2,3 should be at header level and needs to print on each page. LN-4 are fields of table which will return data. When year changes on Page No. field - page no. should restart from 1 and all records for a particular MONTH-YEAR should be grouped on month-year basis.
I have done page no. thing as if year change, page no. reset to 1 by using "Section Break" on first FOR loop. Later I applied second FOR loop to group data on MONTH-YEAR basis. Here I am getting all records for that particular month (e.g - JANUARY-2012) and MONTH-YEAR is printing on FIRST page. If records are more and lines are going into next page, then I am not getting MONTH-YEAR on second page. I am getting only first 2 lines (means LN-1 & LN-2) on second page at header level and records of that MONTH-YEAR but missing MONTH-YEAR value (JANUARY-2012) on second page. My requirement is to print first 3 lines on each page.
Here Company_Name, Report_Type and MONTH-YEAR are dynamic columns which are holding run time values.
I tried number of ways but didn't get success. Kindly help me to fix this issue and please let me know if you need more details to understand this issue.

Divide Dashboad pages into two lines

Hi Experts,
I am working on 11.1.1.5.0
I am facing below problem.....
Lets say you have some 15 pages on a Dashboard and all these pages by default comes on one line.
I want to divide these pages into two lines with 8 page on 1st line and 7 pages on 2nd line.
I think this can be achieved by using java script but dont know how to achieve this.

This we can do with javascripting but the problem is it squeezes the dashboard page and changes the colour of dashboard.So better to go for drop down of page items as you have 15 pages
