Firxfox installed (without me agreeing!) and update and since then I cannot open it at all. RE-installation didn't help. I urgently need Firefox up and running with my bookmarks intact. Thank you
As mentioned above, when I opened Firefox this morning it installed automatically an update w/o me agreeing and I don't know what was isntalled. Since then I cannot open Firefox. Mozilla Crash Reporter opens and thell me Firefox had a problem and crashed. "We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts.
To help us diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report."
I press restart Firefox but I always just get the same message. I uninstalled it and downloaded it again, nothing is changing. I urgentlyu need to use the bookmarks as I don't have them in Explorer which I have to use now.

You need "sysinternal's process explorer", it is free and can replace the Microsoft process explorer, that you get by "CTRL+ALT+DELETE". Either program will allow you to kill the instances of FF that didn't die as they should have, when you closed them. Sysinternal is easier to use, it is a graphic display with many options. Do not push "CTRL+ALT+DELETE" twice unless you want to reboot, that is its default behaviour under Microsoft.

I have a mac book that will not open up DVD's recorded with a presentation. I install the disc in a HP / windows 7 and it works fine. I had my hard drive replaced and since then I cannot open up DVD's. Was there a application that did not get installed? And if so what is the process.
You need DVD Player. It should be in your Applications folder. If it is in there go to System Preferences>CDs & DVDs and for "When you insert a video DVD" make sure DVD Player is selected.

I removed the ASK tool bars from my computer and since then I keep being told the cookies is either enabled or disabled. I refreshed Firefox and that solved nothing it just erased somethings that I setup on my desktop. I'm not dump but I'm not that well versed in resolving this issue and I don't want to make matters worse.......please help! And thank you so much! One more thing......I can still retrieve my email using Explorer but chose not to because of the lack of support for XP which is what I have. Again Thank You
Good afternoon and thank you John99!... for the reply and advice to my problem the other day. To give some insite to the issue I presented...the ASK toolbar was somehow downloaded onto my laptop and I not knowing that it was as malware and dangerous to my computer at first I left there. I did not like the fact that it was there and how it seemed to take over my setup. Well I looked into it which was fairly easy and found out what I did about Mindspark...not good! I also discovered while trying to solve the problem after receiving you responseto this problem that JAVA ORACLE can carry the Ask toolbar thru their updates. When OKed an update I found it wanting to add the ASK toolbar. I know that in the past I have not allowed other things that carry the ASK toolbar to download this because I liked what I had already setup. Well some where along the way it got downloaded. Anyway...I tried what you had suggested and nothing has changed. I receive email's thru Exployer and bring up my desktop to get onto Mozilla. This is not working!!! I just want to get onto Firefox, click into gmail and anything else I want and use it!..I can assure you that the one thing I cannot do is get into my gmail. It wants to tell my about my cookies...I have pressed all the right buttons and this is not solving anything at all. I was wandering that if I remove Firefox and download it again will this solve the problem. And will I be able to use all the same information or will I find it telling me that someone else already has that email, password, name, etc. because it did not clear everything when I removed Firefox from my computer? Remember, I'm not an expert on computers so any information you may have or suggestions you can give would be highly appreciated but step by step details are also welcome and needed! I totally agree. I just wasted .5 hrs trying to figure out how to manipulate and sync the reminders with the iCAl. Thanks for posting this thread online, I can stop wasting my time now. Apple, please change it back or make these apps sync.
Side note. I was creating my to do list and found the ability to asign a date by draging the task to the calendar in the bottom right. Then I discovered that I can drag that same reminder/to-do task into iCal and it will be created as an event. Would be great if I could simply sync the reminders to iCal instead of draging them over though. Then when I make the change in one the other can update with the next sync. This also prevents human error if I drag and drop the reminder onto the wrong date in iCal. -

You're getting error 1015 because you previouly hacked your phone (downgraded the iOS or jailbreak), and can no longer update or restore the phone to a stock iOS. -
I recently did a system update and installed Yosemite on my Mac. Now I am unable to open CS5 at all. The error message I get is this: "To open Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, you need to install legacy Java SE 6 runtime." I have tried downloading this and it still gives me the same mess
In the details it is mentioned that it is an outdated version of Java.
Is this a security risk that i need to live with to get CS5 to run with Yosemite?
Also i need to reject messages from Java in the future about updates, or not?

I just updated to itunes 10.3 & iOS 6.1 and I cannot download a song to my library! I get the error "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on the computer with just one apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 75 days." WHAT??
I've never had problems before - my husband and I have used the same library for years. My daughter also has her own Apple ID... are we going to have trouble with that, too? Actually we have 4 Apple IDs - somewhere around 8 Apple devices... this is a huge issue for us... HELPJust to be clear - I just bought a new song and can't download it into the library because of this error message.

How in 12.1.0.50 can I select a playlist to copy onto my devices from my iMac? On the older version, I could click on each list, then check "sync only checked playlists" and I'd have different playlists on different devices (iPhone 6, iPod nano). How do I do it with this version? Thank you!

Select the device, click Music tab and select the playlists to sync. -

Thank you.So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes. -

Don't panic, it's just the preview cache. Find your catalog on the hard drive - usually in the Pictures folder called Lightroom 5 Catalog.lrcat by default. You'll see a *Previews.lrdata folder there. Rename it and restart LR.
LR will have to rebuild previews, but then everything should be ok. You can let LR rebuild the previews as you need them, or you can select them in Grid view and go to Library menu > Previews > Render Standard Sized previews.
Once you're happy that everything's rebuilt, you can delete the one you previously renamed.

Very strange. Two items to try:
a. Enable iCloud Status and iCloud Download fields in Song view, sort on status and look for any 'waiting' or 'error';
b. If (a) looks good, establish a new user account, create an empty library and enable iTunes Match, confirm that this provides access to all Songs and is working well.
These are seeking to ensure both no bad Songs or local Library corruption - both are relatively quick.
