"Fit to Audio" doesn't work with Transitions?

It seems that iDVD doesn't account for the added transition times when it calculates the "fit to Audio" slide duration. If I set the transitions to "None", then the photos fit perfectly to the song. However if I choose a transition, the photos go well past the audio. Is there any way to compensate for this? Or am I missing something?

i am trying to connect my 2009 macbook pro to my HDTV using this adapter: http://kanexlive.com/products/item-id-3495.html which routes the audio from the headphone jack through the HDMI cable. i need to do this since the 2009 macbook pro doesn't supply audio through the mini display port. the video works fine but the audio isn't getting through to the TV. the macbook detects the adapter when i plug it in to the headphone jack - in preferences/sound the audio output is automatically switched to digital output instead of built in speakers. a guy on the kanex forums told me this might be an issue with the recent software update to mac os x 10.6.4. any chance this is true, and if so can i do anything about it? anyone else had similar problems with this kanex adapter?

To revert to 10.6.3 or whatever you were using before 10.6.4, you'd need to reinstall the earliest Snow Leopard version you have (either the one that came preinstalled on your machine, or if the machine is older than SL, then the Snow Leopard version that you got on a DVD later). Then reapply the Combo Updater for the version you want to revert to (10.6.1, 10.6.2 or 10.6.3). Then run Software Update to get all the ancillary Apple updates that are compatible with that version of SL.
I presume from your interest in reverting that you had the Kanex adapter before you updated to 10.6.4, and it worked as expected then. Is that correct?
If it isn't, and you haven't had the Kanex adapter working correctly at any time in the past, then I urge you to hold off on downgrading the operating system at least until you've gotten some substantive feedback from Kanex tech support and other posters here.

HP 620 Laptop - Audio doesn't work with win 8

After a recent upgrade to Win 8 pro 64 bits , i don't have any sound on my HP 620 and it concerns IDT Audio HD drivers.
It seems that a lot of people do have the same issue worldwide , i have checked all posts and read all blogs about this issue.
I have checked all solutions provided by HP as well ( the last one ( SP 59154 ) without success .

Did you purchase your notebook before or after October 1, 2011? If you purchased it prior to this date, HP will not be producing Windows 8 drivers for the notebook, but the hardware manufacturer may. If the product was purchased after that date you'll just need to watch the product's software and driver page for the drivers to be released.

Male to male audio cable for car doesn't work with my iphone 4s?

I have a 3.5 mm male to male cable that I have used in my car so I can listen to my music. It works fine with my iphone 3G, but it doesn't work with the new 4s. Is there a special cable I need to use with it? It's weird, because my earbuds work with either iphone, but not the audio cable. Suggestions??

I have a Mac Pro, and have used an Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth) with it for quite a while, with no problems. But then my keyboard broke and I ordered a replacement Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth). This keyboard doesn't work with my Mac Pro. I have it plugged in, but I can't get the Mac Pro to consistently recognize that there is a USB keyboard connected to it. What magical stuff do I have to do to get the keyboard to be fit for purpose?

It would not hurt to try an SMC Reset. (But if it does not help, it adds credence to lllaass assertion that the keyboard is not working.)

New airport express doesn't work with Nintendo DS

I just picked up a new Airport Express. The WEP setting doesn't seem to be standard. Instead it is this Transitional Security Network that doesn't work with the Nintendo DS or the Netgear WG511T card I have. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Audio doesn't work after encoding

I have finished editing a video and gone to export it as a WMV and the audio doesn't work; there is just a buzzing noise.
The audio works fine on the timeline, but i just cannot export it.
Any ideas what's gone wrong?

It's Premiere Elements 10 on a Windows 7 PC.
The source media is a mix of WMV, MP3 audio and JPGs.
The project settings are:
Editing Mode: DSLR
Timebase: 25.00 frames/second
Frame size: 1920 x 1080
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1.0)
The export settings are:
Windows Media:
Presets: HD 720p 25
File type: Windows media
Frame size: 1280 x 720
Fps: 25
Audio settings: 440 kbps, 96kHz, 2 channel 24 bit VBR (I have tried it with a number of different variations on this and still had no luck)
I’ve tried opening with Windows media player as well as VLC. Neither are having it.

MPEG-2 Plugin doesn't work with SVCD ?

I just purchased the rather expensive MPEG-2 plugin for Quicktime, only to find that it doesn't work with a .mpg I have on a SVCD. Apple support in Australia have bent over backwards to help without success - apparently it just "doesn't work". Customer relations in Australia have, by comparison, been extremely poor in addressing my complaint (ie, they won't provide a refund).
I guess this is a warning to anyone who assumes the premium priced MPEG-2 plug-in for Quicktime will play what just about every other cheap downloadable MPEG2 player will.

There should be no quality loss as longs as the ripped CD is in good shape...
(XS)VCD disks have very little error correction -- that's why you can put as much as ~797.9 MB of MPEG2 data on a "80 minute CD" in (XS)VCD format, while you can put only ~703.1 MB if you treat the same CD as a regular data-CD. ...and audio-CDs use no error correction at all so you can put ~807.5 MB on an that CD if you treat it as an audio-CD!
So a data-CD holds less stuff but it is more reliable to get a bit-for-bit copy back from it.
So: if the (XS)VCD or audio-CD has a small defect and you rip it, then the application must sometimes guess and make the ripped data out of thin air. Luckily the human ear/eye don't usually notice any quality loss, though.

Elite Pro doesn't work with 5.1 setti

Hi, recently i have changed my card from xtreme audio to elite pro
It was working fine during xtreme audio when i set all to 5.; when i changed to elite pro, the 5. setting doesn't work.
The center speaker sound comes out from woofer, and the woofer is working as it should..
My only problem now is center speaker doesn't work with elite pro.. Is there any solution?
I have newest drivers, all installed well without error; I have check all the jacks and they are well plugged..
I have tested all the speakers, no errors, changed back to my old card and it works well with 5.
Please help?

For some reason, this resolved itself today.
It still occurred with 10.10.2, and I returned to the Apple Store to have it looked at. After checking, their assessment was that it was something to do with Yahoo servers, for that account. They referred me to Yahoo.
This morning, the Inbox loaded!!! The issue is now fixed. I hope others are seeing their issues resolved as well.

ITeufel Radio v2 doesn't work with iOS 5.0.1

My iTeufel Radio v2 doesn't work with iOS 5.0.1.
It does not charge (just a short "beep" when connecting, but then it does not charge) and the audio function also doesn't work.
I already tried to reset the phone, but this didn't help.

I got Wi-Fi to reconnect by restarting my router and re-entering the wireless password. I wonder if the wireless account passwords were lost in the update process? I wonder if I would have just had the phone “forget” the wireless account and reconnect if that would have worked.
On an interesting side note, the exchange server connected after I got Wi-Fi back working! I am wondering if there is a issue with 3G and the new IOS 5.01? I could not get any exchange connectivity after the update on 3G.

it only works when i go to Control Panel and open up beats audio control panel, then the icon shows up.

When I checked the driver page for DV5000 I noticed it came with either XP or Vista.
Have you checked for any HP bios updates for your notebook? If not you could try that but please be aware that updating the bios does have a potential to cause damage. For this reason I suggest contacting HP support for assistance with that process .

Okay, here's an update: the DVI to ADC adapter does work with the Apple displays that I have tried, but it won't work with the Formac. I have tried multiple time to contact them, but to no avail... they don't even respond to threats of posting my opinion of them, which is this:
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM FORMAC! They make quality products, but their customer service is a big time joke! They won't take care of you.
