Fit to Fill: First time trying, not working

Am working through Weynand's Apple Training Series book for FCP HD (4.5), and stumped on p. 610-611; first time using "Fit to Fill" but not working - neither the section in the Edit Overlay, the green edit button in the Canvas, nor the Shift-F11 (which makes all the screens disperse). I get this prompt: "Edit operation had no effect. Check the target tracks. You may need to open the Source clip into the viewer [already done] in order to see all the target tracks." Something in my settings? Thanks in advance.

Resolved. I had to connect the Source and Destination buttons. There hadn't been a reminder in the textbook.

I would restart your device and pc, it could also be a faulty USB connector.
Try reinstalling iTunes.
You could also try running iTunes as an administrator (Windows), you can do this by right clicking on the icon and clicking "Run as administrator".
If this still continues, then take your device to an Apple retail store.

I have the current version of itunes, but when I go to update my ipod, I am getting an error message that says that it could not back up because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPod. This is the first time trying to backup.

Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and select the iPod backjp and click on delete and try again.

hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.

First time trying to add music onto my phone from..

first time trying to drag and drop music onto my iphone using itunes and it wont work. just got a new mbp and had no problems when transferring with my ipod. whats the problem? any tips? suggestions?

IOS 6.1.3 does not allow the drag and drop like previous versions. If you're in the "Songs" list of iTunes you can highlight a list of songs or individuals and right click to get to the move options. Below will show you how to move copies to the iPhone or already created playlist.

This is what I posted on May 15th and it worked like a charm:
Just got off the phone with Apple Support. I have been working on this same issue for 2 weeks now. I was told to go to www.apple.com/support/itunes. Then under "Get Customer Service" choose ITunes Store Account and Billing. Then choose "Managing your account" option. You will see an option where you can email, choose this. This brings up a form that you need to fill out and submit. Just tell them that you have reviewed your account (assuming you have) and you see no fraudulent activities. Then ask them to enable your account. You should have your account enabled within 24 hours.......at least that is what I was told. I just filled out the form and submitted it.

I m using apple mac pc, when we start windows 7 , apple mouse doesn't work properly it take to much time to gain signals from the pc and many times it not work but when we use mac it moves fastly and works properly. please suggest me. thanks ravi

sounds more like Bluetooth rather than moue, but w/o knowing w/o posting mac model type/year we... will... not... know... what you have
All computers are personal computers, a PC though is also "non-Apple" in common usage.
Mac also is platform and OS.

Not sure why you had to repeat the same statemnt 5 times, but some middle eastern countries do not permit Facetime so carriers block it..

so will have time on created modified and accessed from when created but some are wrong like one file

The warranty says that Apple may restrict service of an iPhone to the country of sale, and any reliable salesperson will tell you that if you tell them that you plan to use the iPhone in another country. Such service restrictions are common with cellphones and are by no means limited to Apple's phones.
Sorry, but if your iPhone requires service, you will need to send it to someone you know in the US who can get it serviced and then send it back to you.

Help....my daughter has an ipod, iphone and ipad and face time will not work

My daughter has an iphone, ipod and we have a family ipad. for some reason face time will not work. it rings in but the connection is never made. I even had her phone into verizon and they couldn't figure out why facetime wouldn't work. Anyone have any ideas on how we can correct this. It cannot be her phone because it's doing the same thing on her ipod, I cannot get facetime even to call out on our ipad. My oldest daughter has the iphone and a MAC in the same household and hers are working?
