Fitting a larger HDD to an old A120 - any size or XP activation problems?

Satellite Pro A120 PSA COE - 007009EN, 1.46ghz GHz Celeron M 410. Present hard drive - Fujitsu MHV 2060BH PL (according to Belarc Advisor)
This old machine still works quite nicely, and I'm thinking about fitting a larger hard drive in order to dual-boot Linux with the existing XP (Home edition.)
1) Does anybody know what size hard drive can be fitted to this model? I've had a look through the Toshiba site, but can find nothing for this model other than the rather uninformative user-manual.
2) Is there likely to be any difficulty with MS's annoying "genuine advantage"/product activation process? Ideally, I'd use Macrium reflect to image the present installation, then write the image back to the new hard drive. Although using the product recovery CD might give a nice new installation, it would be convenient to avoid having to reinstall applications, get rid of the 90 day Norton AV etc. The only other MS product on the machine is "One Note," which came with the computer and is quite useful. (And which"reactivated" easily when I started using the machine after the previous owner had re-installed from the product recovery disc.)
3) Does anybody know where free on-line manuals for old Toshibas can be found? As per my first question - I find the user manual lacking in useful detail, and can find nothing helpful in the Toshiba archives. (I'll also be posting a query about an ancient 430 - if I could locate a source of information, it would save me having to trouble the forum's helpful advisers more often than absolutely necessary!)

-for your first problem (hdd size) try a 160gb drive, this should work (your current drive is a 60gb?) but also 320gb should work
in my expirience i found if a 60gb hdd runs on a controller a bigger one also works...
-for the second (win install) you can avoid activating windows again by cloning your system to the new harddrive
there are free clone tools available that you can use
-for the last one (manuals for old Toshibas ) there is a point "archive" to choose in download area where the "real old" user manuals can be downloaded,
but i think you are searching for further information to disasemble your machine - i cant find anything like that also...
but hey! no warranty - no cry.... for your 430 ;-)

Can't open Office after upgrading to a larger HDD.

I recently upgraded my HDD in my Mac to one twice the size. I used the Disk Recovery tool (command + R) to clone my old HDD with all of the software that was installed on it to my new HDD. Now that everything is copied over I tried to open Office for
Mac 2011 and it asks me for the product key.
I am not sure where my original software and product key code is. I have already reformatted the previous HDD and don't have any of the stored information on it.
Is there any way that I can recover or get a different product key that would allow Microsoft Office 2011 to work again for me? I did not know that upgrading to a larger HDD would cause me to lose the Office activation that I already have.

128GB HDD Limit? (Old G4 Tower)

Hello everyone, I just purchased a SeaGate HDD that is 500GB IDE and for some reason my old G4 (first gen I think) will only show that it's 128GB. I popped the HDD into my PC and sure enough it was 500GB, so i formatted it to NTFS for lulz and put it back in my g4 tower and this time I booted the Mac OS X Server 10.5 disk and checked it with disk utility and it said Capable: 128 used: 500GB .
I looked on the forum and checked google and it seems the hardware can only support up to a 128GB HDD? I can't imagine this being true... Even for such a old box I would think it wouldn't have a limit on how big the HDD can be.
So is there any work around? Or anything I can do to install a bigger HDD in this old G4 Tower? Or is it doomed to its 50GB HDD forever?

48-bit LBA was added to the QuickSilver 2002. You stumbled into a G4 MDD forum, where 'large drive' support is native.
Perhaps you recall an earlier era when drives of 100MB were over $1000 and considered bleeding edge?
My Blue 'Smurf came with 6GB drive. So 120GB was not available and 20x storage capacity, and 45GB drives for under $200??? well, my 9GB 10K Atlas cost me $209 at the time.
You could use it on a PCI PATA controller that will add support for "large drive." or FireWire. Better yet would probably be FW800 PCI and case and use SATA for internal drives.

Also, OS 9 can't boot from partitions that are larger than 195GB! probably because no one could test or envision OS 9 on such drives.

Hey all. I have been searching forums and racking my brain to find a way to fix an issue I am having with my Late 2011 13" MBP. SInce I wasn't able to find an answer, I figured it was time for reach out to the community.
I purchased a Late 2011 13" Core i5 MBP that had a bad HDD from a friend. I replaced the HDD with an old 100GB SATA drive I had lying around. My mistake was thinking that it was a 1TB drive. Regardless, I was able to reinstall Lion to the new HDD and get the machine up and running. Once that was working, I went ahead and upgraded to Mountain Lion with no issues, then I unstalled Boot Camp and Windows 8. Everything installed without a hitch and was working great. Right about that time I realized that I had almost no free hard drive space and discovered my error (the 100GB HDD).
I pulled the HDD and put in in my ASUS G74SX laptop along with a Seagate 750GB Hybrid Drive and used Clonezilla to do a hardware-to-hardware clone of the drive. When it was completed, I put the 750GB Hybrid drive in the MBP and it booted right up with no problems. I was also able to switch back and forth from my Boot Camp drive and everything appears to be working as it should.
The only problem I have is that both the OSX partition and the Boot Camp partition are still the same size as they were before I cloned the drive. Try as I might, I can't find any way to expand either one to use the additional 650GB of space that is sitting on the drive unused. Disk Utility won't allow me to expand the partitions unless the free space is contiguous with the drives.
Does anyone know of a utility that I can use to fix my problem? I really don't want to reload everything from scratch.

You need to combine the libraries on one computer. Otherwise you'll be constantly erasing your iTunes content as you switch computers. iPhone will only sync or manually manage iTunes content with ONE computer at a time.

You can more easily add internal drives in a Mac Pro.
Not too terribly easy to add/replace drives in an iMac.
If younhave questions about a Mac Pro, try posting in the Mac Pro forums.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to provide the same power output as an original 3 ft Apple USB cable, the housing of our 6.5 ft cables need to be a bit larger. Due to the larger head size, it will not be compatible with some cases that have a smaller charger opening
If that is the case then I am stuck with the Griffin one or just use the original.

Wipe iPhone/iPad/iPod touch clean
There are a few steps to do:
Switch off iMessage in Settings > Messages
Switch off FaceTime in Settings > FaceTime (iPod touch 4th Generation or later, iPhone 4 or later and iPad 2 or later)
Delete iCloud in Settings > iCloud > Delete Account
Finally Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

Check with the theater system vendor and see if their system is compatible with the Nano. The resolution on the Nano may be too low for the system.

I'm sorry your pictures appear different in your gallery sillyymom. I know its frustrating with viewing important images. Are you using a 3rd party picture application? do you have any apps that may be conflicting with your pictures. Have you tried to review your picture settings?

Try to change your Apple ID back to your old email address (http://appleid.apple.com) in order to set up and activate the phone. After the set up please sign out of iCloud and turn off "Find My iPhone" (Settings > iCloud) - do that on all your devices -, then change your Apple ID to your new address again and then add your iCloud account on you devices again.
