Fix for iMessage not activating?

Has anyone had luck resolving this yet? I can get regular txt messages but iMessage and facetime will not activate and im also getting pop up notices in just about every app that it cannot connect to itunes to deliever push notifications....any help would be great.
P.S. Just to save some time...
I HAVE
- restarted the phone multiple times (hard and soft restarts)
- reset network settings back to default
- signed out of iCloud and back in
- tried activating on LTE and two different wi-fi networks
- toggled iMessage and Factime on and off and restarted after doing so.
I HAVE NOT
- restored my phone from a back up
- reset my phone

1) Erase your networking settings - you will have to enter in your Wifi password again after your phone resets the networking settings
2)Turn on Airplane mode and shut Wifi off.
3) Shut off your phone
4) Turn it back on
5) Connect to wifi with Airplane mode ON
6) Go into Settings > Messages >Toggle the iMessage Switch
7) Go to a Contact you know has an iPhone and try to send a message you will see iMessage in the typing area.
If need be turn your phone on airplane mode and have wifi on and do a regular shut down of your phone and turn it back on. Worked for me. I have iPhone 4S.

I saw the news that it was affecting a "fraction of a percent" of users. I know 2 people it is affecting, and it is now indirectly affecting me. So let's be real...it is affecting much more.
The temporary fixes are indeed that, temporary. Most users have the issue come back in day or two.
Even though the issue is not on my phone, I ahve had to turn off iMessages to communicate with my husband whose iMessages are not working. And now I find out that when I do that, other iPhone users cannot iMessage me. Where does it end, Apple? This company is really making my desire to switch to the Galaxy S4 almost palpable.

I tried about most of the trouble shooting tips on the internet, I even did a clean install with ALL the apps,
Update the iOS and even the still black or blue screen for 2-4 seconds between a app opening , all the apps are closed down like nothing runs in the background....
I even cut most of my images to the Macbook and on DropBox or GoogleDrive...
When I tried to chat online to Apple Care, after I inserted the serial number, it gave me a message that the device has been replaced, please contact Apple care.....
It is like running in circles to get an answer....
Speaking to an Apple guru on the phone is like " Oh just make an appointment and leave it here for repairs...."
This is the only phone I run my business from...

Fix for iMessage banner notifications in iOS 8.1 freezing the keyboard or touch responsiveness?

Is there a fix for iMessage banner notifications in iOS 8.1 freezing the keyboard, and making the phone non-responsive while receiving messages?
I have a Verizon iPhone 6 - 128gb Space Gray
While I'm receiving banner notifications for iMessage, my phone will lock up until the notification banner clears. If I'm in the middle of typing, the keyboard will lock up and then resume back to normal once the banner goes away. No matter what task I'm doing with the iPhone, it will freeze up until the notification goes away. The touch screen becomes unresponsive. To be clear, the banner notifications are not freezing themselves. They go away on their own. But while they come in, it renders the phone useless for that 3 second time frame.
The only temporary fix I've found for this issue is to turn off iMessage notifications all together, or just turn off banner notifications for iMessage. This has to be a software issue in 8.1 and needs to be resolved ASAP.
I've troubleshooted every known possibility.
* Reset network setting = Didn't work.
* Reset all settings = Didn't work.
* Wipe Phone completely and start as new (did not restore from back up) = Didn't work.
* Restore as new from iTunes (did not restore from back up) = Didn't work.
* Visited apple store and received a replacement = Didn't work.

Release notes for 2.16 states that there was a fix for alerts not being modal. We are using 3.0.6 and are experiencing the same issue; was there a regression to the modal fix. What version needs to be used to make sure that alert messages are modal?

The fix states it's for Firefox 2.0 - 3.7a1pre

I have the same symptoms with a 2011 iMac and my Senheiser Bluetooth headphones.
10.7.3 did not correct this bug.
I'm also using MS Messenger and notification sounds are also buffered until the headphones are switched on.

I'm currently trying the tip given in the last discussion :
"Success - in the Audio Midi Setup (Applications/Utilities) I changed the output to 2ch - 32bit Float and all the audio works well."
My headphones already had this setting, but internal speakers had 2ch - 24bit... is it a possible explanation ? Time will tell ...

Fix for iMessage login error on mac using appleID

hi just fixed my imessage for mac
i know alot of people have this problem and thought this would help. if your having trouble siging in with your apple id or it looks like its taking ages and fails then go:
go to network preferences
advanced
dns
on the left with the servers add
8.8.8.8
it worked for me
i closed it then restarted then tried sending a messsage to my iphone using my number and it worked

HI,
DNS server are the servers dotted about the internet that convert your Browser sending requests for Apple.com to an IP number.
DNS stands for Domain Name System
Your ISP normally has at least two DNS servers and these tend to show in the router or modem automatically.
In some cases they will show up as greyed out number in System Preferences > Network > Advanced Button > DNS tab as well (depending on how the routing device gets them and other factors)
You can manually add these if required so that they are in Dark text.
What happens is that some DNS servers are better at resolving names than others.
To certain extent it depends where your local (ISP) DNS servers are in relation to the place they are looking for.
iChat uses DNS to make Video Chats and Audio Only chats more than it does for text chats.
It is also involved in finding the Apple Server that handles the fact that the Apple ID is going to be linked to iMessages activity. (it seems that some DNS Servers can't find this particular Apple Server)

Question about DW 8.0.2 fix for Flash-IE-Active PITA

I've been happily using Dreamweaver MX and Flash MX for my
modest web development efforts. Since I only use a tiny fraction of
each program's features, I've had no reason to upgrade.
I have a fairly extensive website (not incredibly
sophisticated, but it's got a lot of pages, each containing one or
more SWF files). The content of the website is static, and I hadn't
planned to put much (any?) work into updating it.
So now I'm dealing with the recent Internet Explorer/Active X
controls and Flash disaster (yeah, I know, most people went through
this a couple months ago - I've been busy with other stuff). As I
understand it, there are several potential fixes for the problem
(for existing web pages). Most seem to involve adding an external
javascript file and editing the HTML. I see there's also a
Dreamweaver 8.0.2 update.
To me, the thought of wading into every page and futzing with
a javascript patch for each is pretty unappealing. So here's my
question; does the DW 8.0.2 'fix" really fix existing files,
authored in previous versions of Flash and Dreamweaver? If I
upgrade to the latest version (8.0.2), and then I simply open up my
existing HTML files (which contain SWF files) in 8.0.2, and resave
them, will that fix the problem? Or is there more futzing that
needs to be done to fix the IE problem?

Yes.

When you open them, DW will prompt you to add the fix. You
can elect not to,
if you want. After applying the fix, you then have to upload
both the
changed files *and* the new "Scripts" folder that DW has
created for you.

HT5538 iMessage not activating on iPhone 5 running ios 8 after three days of trying.

Phone number dimmed out under "you can be reached by iMessage at" but no number under "start new number from".

If you are getting charged for iMessage activation, it makes me wonder if you are using a supported carrier. Supported carriers do not charge for the SMS to activate iMessage. It could be your carrier does not support iMessage. Also, the final step in the troubleshooting document is to contact Apple Care. Are you saying that you have contacted them 3 or 4 times, since you tried the steps that many times?

Is there a fix for OMF not working

I am fairly new to CS6 Premier Pro and just cannot get it to export OMF. I went the route of sending to audition, and after loading a fix there (it crashed halfway through the omf process) it did create omf's or so it seemed. There was no media in the resultant omf but the tracks and names were all there. Straight omf from PP simply does not work. Is there a fix for this?

Hi Jim, related issue for me.
Older version CS5. (I did not want to upgrade during project on advice of other editors).
The OMF export files stall, (many threads about that already). On camera audio (HDslr's) as bumpers with banter, then 48k masterd tracks from CD release.
Is my best bet to export as FCP XML, find a friend with FCP7 and have them ingest (then export) OMFs for me?
Deadline, and mastering session booked for today was put off until I can deliver OMF's to the session. Last night I assumed sending out OMF would be simple, having not used that before.
Turned out poorly it seems.
Any thoughts, from the savant realm?

Is there a fix for SL not saving Logic Pro settings?

Hi all, I am stuck in SL but don't mind that if there is a way to fix this problem of settings not being saved. I had the problem first in Mail,it refused to save my ISP Password and was fixed by a software update mentioned on this forum. Does anyone know if such an update for Pro apps was ever available? And is it still there for downloading?

I commend your perserverance but 5.1 is newer than 7, that is what is posted in the above screen shot. Here are some things left over from attempting to install #7
I know it seems strange, but it seems to be true,Jobs is turning in his grave. The screen shot in my previous post shows it even better,hard to read[too small] but it was a fix for just these things. Click on that image in post above and it will appear in a larger window,these small 2 ones will as well. It isn't even possible to trash that pref[plist] it restores its' self instantly,no time to install #7,and I trust developed to avoid that being done. The new Apple boss man no like Pro apps,only want to sell new hardware.
