Fix Reader NOW. I have stopped using it.

Every time I open a document (pdf) with adobe reader, The following happens.
Adobe opens the document, freezes for about 10 - 15 sec then continues.
I have a top of the line system, 4 gigs of ram, core 2 duo running 2.53 Ghz, top everything. (windows experience is a 4.7, and that's cause of the laptop's video card)
FIX YOUR ****.

I too am a power user who is affected in a similar way. Fresh installs of Adobe Reader 9.0 on several networks of XP / Vista machines with all patches and IE7 have the problem.
All the workarounds on this forum have not worked for me. While many users have posted "fixes", I think it is abundantly clear to any reader of posts from other users that problems remain. The only thing left is to "open windows outside IE7", a real kludge.
To the best of my knowledge, Adobe has not come up with any official tech note characterising this problem, let alone a fix.
I fully understand that this is a user-to-user forum. But insofar as some Adobe guys do view the posts, and negative publicity generated from a rant could incentivise a fix to this new behavior introduced in a "new, improved" version, I fully support the original poster.
Adobe 9 does offer some improvements, but the bug/bugs is/are an awful mess.

Why can't I open or read my email in firefox. This problem started last week, and now I have to use internet explorer to read my emails.

You may have zoomed the page by accident with Ctrl and the mouse scroll wheel.
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

Go into the settings and the app store. there you'll see the options to automatially update purchases. You can turn it off for music or other content. That should keep things from automatically downloading to both your devices.

TS4209 This just began to happen with my IMAC. I am using OSX v. 10.8.2. At first I was able to restart (something I don't do normally) and wi-fi would reconnect. Now I have to use the diagnostic on the page when it does not load to connect, any thoughts?

My IMAC running OSX 10.8.2 has reciently stopped automatically connecting to the internet using wi-fi following a period of being asleep. I have attempted to restart the IMAC which corrected it for a time. Next I followed the instructions on the help page regarding issues with not connecting on wake up. That only corrected the problem within the session. There are no recient downloads available to address this issue, however there are earlier versions which were suppose to address this, is this a new issue or was the old one never fixed. Note I have never had this problem before and I did reboot the wi-fi router, which only corrected the problem for a short period. I do not have the problem with other devices connected (PC Laptop, PC, apple TV and older IPOD touch).

First use of FF3.6.1-Great difficulty logging into my account on a website. If this isn't fixed right away, I will stop using FF after many years.

First website used first use of FF 3.6.1:
1. My password didn't work to open my existing account on a website.
2. I called the site's customer service and changed password.
3. It would only open in new window. Each time I wanted to go to my account I had to open new window.
4. If I go to page 2 of my account, I have to reenter login info.
If I go to another page on the site, I have to reenter login info.
I have never had to do these things before, unless it had been a day or two since I last opened my account.

This can be problem with cookies.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To troubleshoot this issue where your iPhone gives you the message "No SIM Card installed" please follow the steps below.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Turn airplane mode on and then off again.
Restart your iPhone.
Check for a carrier settings update. Go to Settings > General > About. Install any available update.
Remove the SIM card and make sure that it's a valid SIM that your carrier provided. Also make sure that it's not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
A SIM tray that comes with one iPhone model won't necessarily work with a different iPhone model. When you insert the correct SIM tray, the SIM tray should be flush with the device.
If you have another SIM card, insert it. You can use a SIM card from any phone with the same format as your iPhone SIM card. If your iPhone works with that SIM card, contact the carrier that issued your original SIM card.
Restore the iPhone.
If you still see the issue, contact Apple support.
If you see 'No SIM' alert on iPhone

I think Firefox is wonderfull except for INBOX, I have stopped using Firefox and now go direct to GOOGLE, what a shame!!!!

I loved Firefox until I lost GOOGLE as my home page, INBOX does not seem to be user friendly for UK users. I now go direct to GOOGLE, bypassing Firefox. This is a retrograde step and please please let me go direct to GOOGLE via Firefox.

I have already tried removing firefox from my firewall. Even when I do that, my firewall doesn't detect firefox and prompt me to add it. And when I manually add it, it still doesn't work anyways. I've already tried the link as well, but it has been unhelpful. :/
I'm not sure if it matters, but a few weeks before this, I did download Microsoft Security Essentials.

All of a sudden I can no longer print any web pages. I have tried the solutions offered on the web site to no avail. I have also tried reinstalling it. If i can't fix this I'll have to use IE instead, but that is not what I want. What do i do now?

1.1.1 fixed all the upload, error message, site corruption and non functional features problems I was having!
I "published all" and it fixed the site anomalies, upload is very fast.
It is now a delightful application!

iWeb 1.1.1 is a fun, useful - if limited - tool.
I do not have a .mac account; so the recent fix does not apply to me.
I still cannot build separate sites on separate servers using iWeb 1.1.1.
I cannot reduce the size of image files in iWeb 1.1.1 either.
The only luck I ever had was a two day period when iWeb Enhancer beta worked to help separate the sites I built with iWeb; but since iWeb 1.1, I have not been able to use iWeb to build more than one site on more than one server.
The fixes offered prior did not fix the problem.
I am happy for those who are getting what they want out of iWeb.
Since buying this iMac Intel Core Duo, I have not been able to use my prior image creation and site building tools; and so have been trying to do so with iWeb and Graphic Converter.
I truly hope that one of the future iWeb updates provides an iWeb Enhancer type function and allows for reducing the size of image files for faster downloads.

Fix Reader NOW. I have stopped using it.
